What kind of feedback are you looking for? Is there anything in particular you’re wanting us to keep an eye out for outside of the usual errors?
Do you have any intended endings in mind at this point? If you’re not worried for spoilers, will it be possible to, for example:
- Become the ruler of Krorid, if not Kanton?
- Become co-ruler of Kanton, as the king’s firstborn child? (potential prerequisites: low-strength Elya or a sufficiently strong relationship?)
- Usurp the throne, but have a family member as your heir?
- Say FTSIO and waltz off to the hills to be a warlord in your own right, leaving all the royals to their petty unappreciative games?

Hi everyone! I don’t have time to do my bulk comment replies but I’ll come back around later. For now, I just wanted to deliver a quick update and say that the grunt writing of chapter two is almost completed! I’d expect it and the editing to be done at least before the 14th–maybe earlier?

I was gonna make Mira’s boobs ridiculously large again. Thing is I was proud with how Elya turned out and I knew if I drew MIra with gigantic tits again no one would pay attention to Elya.

Belos wakes up
My friend told me that he imagines my ITFO art and headcanons as Belos’s dying dream. I leave it up to your imagination whether or not that is true.
My Marshal feels naked without the cowboy hat.
My Headcanons:
- Rade is completely oblivious to my Marshal’s obsession with him. He just thinks Sobik’s weird bastard got hit in the head too many times in Krorid. Darin knows but he’s in denial. Everyone else is just embarrassed by my Marshal’s behavior.
- Cowboy Gov’nors migrate to Krorid every winter. Watching their migration is a tradition in Kanton.
- The shape of Cowboy Gov’nors’ hat-head prevents them from wearing helmets normally so they just place them on top of their hats.

I would love to see that as an AU for everyone’s Marshals.
He’d probably have a heart attack and return to the grave seeing Milon and Anna (my Marshal) smooching. If that doesn’t do him in, meeting warm, strong Elya who’s been crowned queen probably will.

Here’s some feedback on the Setup phase:

^ Looks like fsix has already caught this error – at a point later in the book, the Marshal is doing some self-reflection and as I recall, the correct variable-description is displaying; but for the start of the book, these numbers don’t match.
I’d provide image references, but apparently the forum thinks I need to talk more – story of my life. Here’s my attempt to explain through text:
We can apply MentalPath = 1/2/3 during setup. The first chapter checks for MentalPath = 0/1/2. There’s no way to hit =0, and since 3 isn’t accounted for, it’s skipped. -
Elsewhere during Setup, we’re asked to choose how somebody (who is not entirely clear) responded to somebody called the Inae Dirriman. I’m not sure who either of these people are; there is insufficient context provided.

There’s a variable for VillageInteractions. The If for VI=2 is repeated, one of which is meant to be VI=3. (Extortion vs pillaging)

Unless it’s possible to lose Strength acquired by Elya, there’s a path which should set a threshold to the minimum strength she can have (“had the strength to defend herself and took a life to save her own .”

Yeah, this one should lock her strength at 4 or more, since she has to have 4 Strength to be able to defend herself, and she cannot lose strength after Chapter 5. Just like Velinor living locks you out of the loss and regent paths.

CHAPTER TWO IS DONE.
I am editing and running it through my trusted inner circle. After these initial revisions, I’ll open it as an beta-alpha to my Patrons for a week to iron out the last issues before a final public release. All in all, it should definitely be out for public consumption before the end of November.
