Same! I replayed it about 5 times today alone, trying to get an ending where I survived and managed to maintain a relationship with Quillon. But every time, she kills me. Which I get is a kindness in her eyes, but I want to live and be a pirate! Anyone figure out how to do it yet?
Question: Is it possible to successfully pretend as Ypsillion and get the sensory bus? Or is it fixed to fail?

Yes! You need to survive the final showdown in the previous chapter.

Yes, you can successfully pretend to be Ypsilanti, but the reward isn’t what you think it is - it’s the best ship in the game. (There’s a detailed guide to how you do it earlier in the thread.)
You need to succeed at the mission in the earlier mission, so your old body isn’t ruined.
I successfully stole the bellephron 2 but didn’t receive any bonuses from it. Any ideas why?
I’ve played this game a few times and can’t figure out how to get a “good” ending. I’m playing an unflappable AI, and I survive the final showdown fine, but still my sensory bus fails and I either get the REGN ending or Quillion kills me.
I read in this thread that one way to survive is to save civilians on the station so they rally to find you a sensory bus, but are there any other ways to survive? (Especially for a character that’s self-interested?) Thanks!
