Great notes! And it’s definitely not too late. The game’s only been out a week!
To hit a few of your points, though
Confronting Conjurer in Ch4 is treated as a breakup if you were romancing them. But even if you’re not, you get the chance to tag Conjurer as an enemy, which changes a lot of the dynamics for your interactions going forward. You are right, however, that not confronting Conjurer there means you don’t get to yell at them about it.
Whether Red Claw or Gladiator leads the charge shows itself in a few ways:
Choosing RC: If you attack Brilliant as a team, it means Red Claw isn’t there to help, which puts you a teammate down. And in the case that you might have already lost Germ and Chameleon, that might be risky. Then again, it raises RC’s profile in the epilogue and can change some of those outcomes.
Choose Gladiator: Means that Conjurer isn’t defended and could lead to them dying in some circumstances.
If you remember coming across those incorrect pronouns or stat modifiers at any point, do send a report. I’d love to have as few of those issues as possible, obviously.
Thanks so much for your thoughts! I love feedback like this.
I enjoyed this! I wasn’t sure about the game at first, but the relationships you could form with other characters really won me over. Points for being able to cultivate a complicated, but not necessarily adversarial, one with The Cloak
Finished the game again, and this time I did get to see the DS released, without anyone having to suffer for it - perfect.
BTW, if a sequel is being contemplated, this bit at the very beginning of the game caught my interest, but was never really elaborated on:
What changed 200 years ago? At first I thought no one with superpowers existed before then, but we eventually learn that isn’t so, and also that gods, the hells, and magic are all real in this universe. What specifically caused the emergence of modern-style heroes and villains?
I’m a history nerd so I just naturally wonder about things like this, maybe no one else cares, but hey, could be something to explore in a future installment.
Hello, I finished playing a few more times ( both a animal powered mc and a superhuman mc) and I have one thing I find odd (hope I’m not bothering nor angering you), the superhuman physique is a bit lacking, it’s supposed to be stronger then the animal one in exchange for not having super senses but a fair amount of the scenes are the same. Like during the science class incident, if you chose to endure the laser, it’s the same. Or in a few other scene you get injured like the other would so it don’t realy feel like you are that much more powerfull.
