Have you hidden the demo link?
Yes, demo is offline now, as the game is being edited. Sorry about thatā¦
I didnt say this in my first response but
This is probably the single best HERO/VILLAIN work on Hosted or Choice.
Simply for the Power selection.
I do like the others donāt get me wrong but me choosing my own power instead of just being a fast strong person really does make this the most replayable
Thanks, that is sort of the effect I wanted to create (ābuild your own heroā), though obviously the problem is that sometimes the MC can feel a bit generic, and I am not sure whether there are enough chances to use all the powers already there⦠how did you feel about that?
I have been getting some private messages about the next game I will be making. Actually, I am on āsemi-holidaysā at the moment, and have been making good progress on my current WIP. It doesnāt have a title yet, and I donāt want to start a thread for it. What little I am prepared to disclose at this point is being posted (and can be discussed) on my facebook page:
(I am just about to make a post with the map of the world, etc)
How many times do you have to rewind time to make a time paradox
" Birth of a Superhero by @adrao: Releasing Sep 19th? "
Title hasnāt been changed yet but that doesnt matter now that i know this is coming out next month.
I can hardly wait
Actually thatās the first Iāve heard of a release date myself. Though, it ties well with my own estimates given the progress of the editing. So, it could be right! I want to possibly write a small extra scene or two, but that should just be a day or two, while I am also finalising some other bits and piecesā¦
Thats what the ? Is for it is a rough estimate.
I am just glad there is one now
Itās not entirely up to HG when stuff releases; they send things in to Apple/Google/maybe Steam/Amazonlololnobodybuysfromhere it may get put up a day or two later by the actual marketplace. Not sure thatās why it has a question mark but it is a possible reason.
I guess between now and then a lot of paperwork still needs to be done (I have to send them various documents and contracts). So, often it is a question of whether I can get all this kind of things sorted. Then, the submission to Apple sometimes causes trouble, apparently. So, dates are always tentative at best. But, Iām very happy to have a tentative release date, even if things slip a bit!
lol thatās so true it hurts. Itās like this month thereās been a few hundred copies sold for a game on IOS and again on Google play. But look! AAA sold a whole 10 games! Iām so proud, better be careful not to spend all of that $5 at once
It makes me very happy we donāt have to rely only on AAA for game distribution.
Yay! Thatās not far off at all
For those on the private threads: I have just uploaded the final version of the game! Iāll be playtesting it myself over the weekend, and submitting to CoG on Monday or Tuesday (as they have to do final work on the files etc). At that point Iāll take it down from dashingdon.
But, Iād be happy if anybody who has playtested it already is happy to go through it one more time (looking for any major bugs in it). At this point I wonāt be adding any major changes, though I could still do small tweaks if requested.
Once again, thanks so much for everybody who has given suggestions, playtested, etc. Itās so nice to see that this is getting close to being published!
Congratulations on the game, I canāt wait to play it when it comes out!

Does anybody have any suggestions for interesting moments that I could have to put as screenshots for the game?
Is there a way I can see the final version?
Some screens about power options and some in-games images??
Unless youāre selected for beta-testing I donāt think there is.
Beta-testing is usually reserved to those who prove themselves trustworthy since some people like to use it as an excuse to play the full game for free before its release, so they donāt have to pay for it later. Some donāt even have the common courtesy of providing proper feedback like they were supposed to. However, selection sometimes varies from author to author.
Well, there is a way just go to dashingdon and scrolls down until you find game named birth of a villain and its this game
@Epic- The final and complete version of the game has been in in private beta testing for some time, but there is a demo version still available publically I believe.
