Yes I need more people but thw game gives me no time to do stuff like freeing people from a prison.
And I play as a hero and I’m no vampire.

Today I spent a few hours working in Armageddon, and had to come back to Battle Royale to update a few bits.
I’m thinking of spending a bit of time to update Battle Royale further this month (to take a break from Armageddon from time to time).
One of the key complaint in Battle Royale is the railroading, hopefully a bit less bad now given the is an entirely new path to abandon the planet.
Are there any other side missions or paths in the game that people would have liked to pursue?
Also, I’m thinking of providing more cybernetic powers, and would like to maybe include some side missions associated with them. Any thoughts?
I’d like to repeat my request above, if you’re up for fiddling with stuff: Allow Blademaster to be defeated in Round 4 (so you’re not able to interfere with the rest of the fight) if you’re bad enough to do it without sandbagging, instead of just railroading him into surviving until Joo is free.
Ok, I’ll put that on my to do list Let me know other thoughts!
Tasks for update to Battle Royale
-Expanded cybernetics
-tweaks to fight with Blademaster
I admit I don’t know what happens when we have little humanity, but you could work with this by using cyborgs who have gone mad and are spreading chaos and destruction, or an organization of unfeeling cyborgs whose goal is to create other cyborgs like them, or the last option (and my favorite) you can delve deeper into the issue of artificial intelligence and create an AI (or several) that are trying to take control of the cyborgs (and may even try to take control of the mc if he has little humanity) sorry for the text long, I’m just throwing a bunch of options to see if you like any
good luck and don’t overwork yourself too much
Sorry I can’t think of any extra side missions. I actually don’t feel like good parts of the game are particularly railroaded and instead do the branch and return thing, often with story or stat consequences. (You can decide where to go in some places, who to side with, what powers and techniques to work on.) I think the main complaint from that has come from the ending sequence (which you have already tried to address) but that can’t really deviate way to wildly due to it being a book in a series that needs to be able to connect back up in the next book in the same way the final book in a series could
@adrao I haven’t checked yet in the code, but does the humanity stat do anything if it’s low from getting multiple cybernetics implemented?
What I really want, is more in-game days/time to do more side activities. Compared to the first game I get the impression there’s more to do, but less time to experience the activities.
This is especially noticeable in the first game, I played multiple characters who have maximum endurance and I get text that says “I feel energetic enough to do something else” and allows me to do two activities on that day, but it’s not always consistent, making me only do one activity on that day, and it’s not a mechanic in the second book.
AFAIK, Humanity is just a currency to spend on cybernetics - it’s more like “cyber tolerance” than you turning into an out-of-control cyber-psycho. At least in Book 2. (And hopefully in future books, but that’s me speaking personally - I don’t like “humanity” mechanics.)
Wait, is it possible to do two actions in one day? I need endurance at 100 or can it be less? (please someone tell me have two shares in a day seems absurdly strong)
It’s unusual, there goes my dreams of a full cybernetic conversion.
It would especially be funny if we encounter someone who happens to be fully borged up in the next book, showing the humanity stat to be dubious.
New cybernetics to replicate more base powers.
I am thinking of spending a bit of time over the holidays working on a small update for Battle Royale, possibly fixing some bugs or adding some quality of life and small improvements. On my list are:
-New cybernetic powers
-New cheat codes (including starting with more money)
-Tweaks to fight with Blademaster
Any other thoughts of any updates you would like to see?
I have implemented new cheat codes that allow players to start with more money. Any other requests, before I submit to CoG an update for this game? (likely in a day or two…)
Since the technology there in this HoV: Battle Royale is more advanced that HoV: Genesis, maybe you can finally implement my Hacking Cybernetics and/or Machines Request via MC’s Own Cybernetics (Like Cyberpunk 2077) or Engineering Skills, Teleportation using Engineering Powers (Meaning creating devices that allow MC to teleport), Is there an Invisibility Device like a Stealth Camo Device from Metal Gear you can buy or make? If not, please add that.
That doesn’t seem to be within the tech levels that the MC has access to yet.
On what type of civilization in the kardashev scale will the MC have access to that kind of technology?
I agree that this would not normally be available to the MC but it could be a viable option for an inventor with over ninety intelligence as this level is literally described as “You can invent advanced alien technology. IQ. 301+” (if you want to increase the difficulty may also require a self level in engineering)
According to the alien tech database, that’s inaccurate.
Checking the technology scale shown in the game, if you’re studying alien technology, you’re still operating at Tech Level 6 on the Dha’saram scale. Meanwhile, technological teleportation is probably in the classified areas of TL10 to TL12 - right now, the only evidence we’ve seen of teleports is from thoronium-based superpowers.
Basically, what we’re seeing in HoV2 is that however powerful we are on an Earth scale, we’re still a big fish in a little pond.
I thought “advanced alien technology” would be between TL 8 or TL 9. I’m surprised to know how far away we still are, but I’m very grateful for your response
Just sent to CoG the files for the new update to Battle Royale. I will post a video with the cheat codes in the coming days, once CoG updates.
Otherwise I am following the conversation here, and turning around things in my head a little…
