Hero of Daria: The RPG (WIP) - CLOSED

Can’t wait to regulate those Demi-humans to the outer lands! Daria for humanity!

I just want Evil Demi-Humans to oppose the good ones. Dark Elves, duergar dwarves, full-blooded Orcs, anti-gnome Goblins, Halfling-eating Ogres… and a bigger uglier Giant to fight Kratog.

Gods I hope not… we have enough good vs evil cliches as is… the only good thing you could ever spin out of that at this point would be to blurr the line between who is who. A white/black knight should be judged based on their choices and not because it was pre-determined by their race.

When I return to this, all endings will be canon.

It’s a hundred or so years later, which will help makes all of your previous choices still be possible.

So the Heir simultaneously saved Daria, watched it burn to the ground, killed Lord BBEG, was enslaved by Lord BBEG, and married each of the five ROs including the Red who was killed at the siege of Tornassa which was both a rousing success and a crushing failure. And after all this they both kept their promises to the non-human kingdoms and allowed them to mingle with Daria while at the same time breaking all promises and keeping Daria a human primary kingdom.
This is why, if I told any of my artist friends that “any interpretation is valid” they’d punch me in the throat and never talk to me again.

Does that mean that at the start of this game you have a questionnaire to fill in where you put the choices you made in TLH or that there won’t be any mention of what went down?

Don’t forget- they also turned themselves into a monster and killed their summoner. Or ignored him and walked away. That was the bad ending I liked.

That’s why we have alternative universes, that way every outcome is valid… in a different world. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just reading through this has my mouth watering…

I don’t care of that’s weird.

Correct!

Remember, this is not a direct sequel. Yes, it takes place in the same world, but it’s over a century later, so that will let me write things in a way that will make all previous choices valid.

The Last Wizard is also in the Lucidverse, so it will also be valid, although it takes place outside of Daria, so the ramifications of choices are even easier to incorporate.

But absolutely! I would never invalidate anyone’s choices.

What do you mean by to much

I think he meant that he found LH3 to be too difficult. A common complaint.

I’m very aware of this as I write the Last Wizard.

With Hero of Daria, there will be difficulty settings, which will help a bit.

When did the story of life of a wizard take place? It seemed like it was after The Lost Heir cause of the whole racial tolerance thing and being able to be a troll or a goblin.

Either just over a century after or so far before that people forgot about demi-humans

Will we be able to pick a race for the MC?

The official timeline has always been uncertain I think it can be summed up now.

  • Prehistory includes: what caused the great wasteland? This event comes into play a little for Last Wizard.

→ Life of a Wizard was first.

  • Something unknown happened that drove away the demi-humans and destroyed the Academy (remember, it was in Tornassa, yet in Lost Heir, it’s on an island out past Opal Cove in the Silver Sea!)

→ Lost Heir occurs several decades later.

  • Unknown amount of time passes, somewhere around 20 or 30 years.

→ Last Wizard occurs.

  • A little more time. About a hundred years from Lost Heir in total.

→ The Hero of Daria

  • More time passes.

→ Life of a Mobster

  • A little more time

→ Paradox Factor
