Hi @FayI - I hope you’re well and truly on the mend after your fall, and that 2022 is treating you well so far. Just out of curiosity, how many chapters will there be in this game, and what level of spice do you anticipate the romances to have? I’m a total sucker for gladiator-themed games, and when there’s adult romances thrown in, all the better (and the spicier the better, if you ask me. lol). So far the ‘demo’ is very interesting and well-written, and definitely left me wanting more.

Hello! Fay is on the forums fairly sporadically but I’m her spouse and have read and played through the full game recently… I’m not sure how the game will be listed chilli-wise on the app but I can say that while the adult scenes aren’t as explicit as All World Pro Wrestling (the most explicit HC), they are VERY spicy - definitely a lot more explicit than Heart of the House which is one of the more detailed CoGs that I’ve played.
Also it’s now up on Steam! HYPE

Same here! Although when I saw the thread had been updated, I was kind of hoping to find an extended demo inside. I’m really looking forward to meeting our rich patron… Summer can’t come soon enough.

Like Hannah said, it’s not as spicy as the Wrestling HC, but it’s pretty spicy! I use above-the-waist specific descriptions; I don’t as often use specific anatomical vocabulary for below the waist but it’s normally extremely clear what’s going on, and there’s personalisation for the variable genders of the romance options.

And @AletheiaKnights, thank you! I don’t know if there’s specific things outside of what one normally looks for - characters feeling appealing, plot makes sense, stats are accessible. Let me know what you like about it and what doesn’t quite work for you! 
It hasn’t been difficulty balanced yet (I’m hoping to look at that in the next few days), so I wouldn’t be surprised if difficulty is a bit wonky.

We’re coming to the end of beta now, and have a tentative release date set in the Heart’s Choice thread, so we’re all go! It’s been such a long, tricky journey while writing it but I’m so pleased that beta feedback has been so positive, and very excited to send it out into the world soon! I haven’t made any super big changes in this last go - tweaks and enhancements! If you haven’t done a run where you stay behind at the end, check it does make sense and still feel like a good enough ending?? But other than that I can’t think of anything!

It’s not. Unless by “any different” you mean “better.” (Okay, I’m not sure I’d rate it better than Freshman Magic, but that’s only because they’re both so good that any comparison feels cheap and meaningless.)
Of course, as a beta tester, I can’t actually discuss the game publicly until it’s released, beyond the basic blurb information that’s available to everyone. However, I don’t think they can stop me jumping up and down, waving my arms, and gushing about how great this game is, so I’m probably going to spend the next two months doing exactly that. And I’m looking forward to discussing the plot and characters with other fans as much as I am to adding this game to my permanent collection.

And it’s definitely very character-focused. The plot and setting are great, but it’s the excellent cast of characters that make the story so impactful and bring the setting to life.
