I did all I can, I opened the poll that is anonymous. But if someone has any suggestions about how to make the experience better I am here for you. After all, that is my job as host of the event.

I only got a few minor things fixed before the deadline. But it’s fine, I was fully aware it wouldn’t be complete.

Now my brain just need to realise that this jam is over, and it should focus it’s energy on other projects.

You can give me the link and I will put you as a notable mention. You deserve it.

Just a suggestion, I took a look myself, despite not having submitted something. It was my understanding that only the top five would be public, from the current presentation it seems like all votes or lack there of for a game are open for everyone too see, authors included. Just my thoughts. I’m speaking on behalf of other people here as I don’t have a stake in the poll and don’t plan on voting myself, though I will read the stories if I can find the time.

Edit: Checked again, it’s been set to hidden now.

I have set the vote result as hidden, only I have seen it: I will check in case I missed any variable.
Edit: Sorry, I didn’t actualize the link to the privacy settings now You could see the fact there is no way to see the results.

SORRY I AM REALLY BAD WITH TECHNOLOGY

I updated it on dashingdon an hour before deadline, so it’s the same link.

I included you in the contest, my friend, as you presented your game in time. So no backing down.

I was talking about other people who didn’t make it. Sorry for the confusion

Also Mara, everyone got along in the Discord, so you can consider the gathering a success in that aspect as well.

Oh, thanks @EndMaster You are a gentleman. But I didn’t do anything special. All is going well because everyone behaves and helps each other out. Thankfully, because I am probably the clumsiest Hostess ever in game’s Jam history.

There was a Discord server? :no_mouth:

Yes there is a shared server with people from other IF pages and forums, Cog CyS Adrift etc… My main concern was having people from different backgrounds and using different formats. I am happy that have 3 different engines games!!

Always you only fix what is bad It is okay update files. What we can not do is add more content. But fix mistakes like bugs is okay. So fix it.

So, Halloween is officially over. I’ve been much more active in this thread than any other pretty much. What am I supposed to do with myself when it closes? Where will I go?

I have been thinking about it. But I have to reflect the results of the poll before to determine whether the forum wants a Writers Guild club. When seniors writers give advice Interviews jams and a mentoring system to learn Choicescript.

I mean it will be lots of work for me. I have to be sure people want that.

Sounds like a promising idea to me, sounds like it could be similar to the monthly writers support threads, maybe with beginners more in mind? Hypothetically speaking of course.

I want to do a monthly interview to hosted writers, A small code exercise each week and stuff like that. Maybe pairs duels when participants are random paired to do a small game like 1k in a week. Events like that. And A Mama’s Mara assistance to people that don’t know how to do something.

Edit: However, I am not really sure that people will want my assistance or participate in something like that if is made by me.

I was hoping that we continue with feedback. I mean, I think that helping each other has been good. I even think my design skill might have improved a little.

So we can start a new jam or try to improve this.

I have the fear that starts with another jam session will burning the public and Authors.

My plans are New year or Saint’s Valentine and an Easter one. But All depends on what people want and if think is needed.

I wouldn’t worry, lots of people submitted stories for and seem to be enjoying the jam. I’m happy I decided to pick up CS because of it even if it didn’t go too well haha
If you’re struggling to come up with a good time to start another jam based on holidays and such, you could always pick, say a certain theme instead and people could write a story about that.
