The baby is not required, Mara. Your Guen can stay childless.
(Not to mention, I’d be terrified to allow Mara’s Guen to be responsible for a kid…)

but i want a baby only not from hippie, whatever man not my husband.
maybe some kind of powerful ambassador to up my influence and have forein allies
@poison_mara Okay I totally lost it at this reply.
Other excellent evil names: Deathbringer, DestructionTrain27. Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way.
Mordred thinks his name is impressively intimating sounding? Forget Mordred. Blow his name out of the water.
Or, hilarious historical ruler names. Henry the 8th. Caligula. Bathory. Just name the kid Fredegund, I’m sure we can expect them to be a positive ruler.
Having a baby would be awesome!!! Just imagine all the things I could teach that kid! For example my love for animals
and to beat someone up whenever they try to hurt our dog / cat lol. But I do have a question will we be able to raise mordred or influence him in any way???
I think so, but it would be weird for me due he is my main love interest so probably my Guen wont rise him, My Guen wont comit incest thats hippie and morgana problem.
@poison_mara lol I guess if he is going to be a love interests it wouldn’t be a very good idea to raise
but My Guen loves children and will probably be kind to him whenever she gets the chance. She will be upset over the situation with Arthur and Morgana but she will not blame Mordred she will blame whoever put the spell(?) on morgana and Arthur.
@OtherGrimm He IS sending Guen weird dreams into the past (unless Guen has divination powers…?) so hey, maybe lol?
Then My Guen going to hate the future Mordred, she will protect those she believes to be innocent ( like animals and children) but she isn’t naive, she knows not every person is good, she won’t blame Mordred as a child because children shouldn’t be blame for things they might do in the future or how they were born, but when they get to an age where they should know better then she would them as an enemy
Yeah, it’d be a little awkward to raise Mordred if you wanted to be with him later. But damn if that kid ain’t smart. He speaks to you before he’s even conceived! I’m tempted to turn evil…
His again! I have been gone from this thred for some time (If some one remembers me)
And @jeantown i finally finished playing the second part and I must just say that you are so amazing and that i am soooooo looking foward to the next parts of Guenevere.
And keep up the good work <3
My favorit part overall was playing the manipulating Guenevere and having Arthur and Lancelot wrapped around my fingers. Because after all as mara said (By the way hi Mara!) Mordred is the one i am going for! And I cant wait to ruin Arthur and Lancelot together with him.
Even thou my second favorit overall playing was playing as the loving and faithfull wife to Arthur, (By the way makes Arthur my second favorit character now after Mordred, even If he is a bit soft) which i know will break my faithfull guen characters heart when the Arthur and Morgana part happen and Mordred gets born.
When it comes to Lancelot i so happend to grow a little more on him, even If I still want to ruin him. With other words I have now a more like towards him then in the first part of Guenevere and i actully like him as much as I like Morgana right now which now makes her and Lance sharing a third place. And as always i like Morgana and enjoy her as a character.
I could understand it, lol he is so hot and awesome
is weird those emojis there are not love emoji but a love hotel ?? THE PLACE WHERE JAPANESE GOES TO BANG YES LOL.
Because people always think in love hotels and are children friendly
also what counfounded means?
Then welcome to the dark side my fellow Guenevere follower! @FoxalypticWorld Mordred is just as badass, as you pointed out…Because not many unborns can get inside someones dreams as him.
Or as a friend said when it was first announced that William and Kate were expecting, “My vote is for Joffrey.”
Okay, my friends, I just got back from an extended happy hour with pumpkin beer, and cannot be held responsible for anything I say right now.
@anon11888245 Oh, yes. That’s always been part of the plan (: The child’s gender is predetermined. My next game (assuming I ever get there) is planned to be supremely gender-flexible, but this one is, to some extent, about gender, so all of the genders are fixed.
Guen will be able to influence the child in certain ways, including the child’s skill selection (though that will be somewhat limited, as children have minds and interests of their own).
Yes, in part 4, Gawain will be 18 and Gareth will be 16 (according to my current plan; always subject to change), so they’ll both be knighted and considered of age. Knighting age is 15 in my universe. There will almost certainly be some other children in the story, though – I’m still working on that. Galahad will appear eventually and be about the same age as (maybe slightly younger than) Guen’s child, if she has one. Percival will be just a couple of years older, in my current plan, and will be friends with Galahad (they’re first cousins once removed).
Guen’s child, if she has one, will absolutely be an important character, and can play a major role in the legacy Guen leaves behind. If Guen does not have a child (or maybe even if she does), Gawain and Mordred will each have a potential claim to the throne.
@jason_king According to my current plan, Guen will be 45 in the final book. I hope I’ll be able to show just how badass middle-aged women can be. (: As for the insane scope of the project, well, yeah… it’s insane. I am an INTJ master-planner kind of person, and I’m really good at just chipping away at mega-projects a little bit at a time. It may take me years and years, but I know myself pretty well, and I know I’ll just keep working on it, bit by bit, until it’s done or I’m dead. I’ll try really hard not to be dead anytime soon, though. (:
@poison_mara I’m scared to answer the question of whether or not the baby has to be Arthur’s, because I think you will poison me horribly when you find out what the (admittedly rather obvious?) alternative option might be.
Why do we have a gabajillion ridiculous emojis and no :smiling_baby_chicken_demon:? I require a :smiling_baby_chicken_demon: to accurately embody my current emotions!!!
@OtherGrimm Yeah, let’s both just back away slowly from that prospect… especially if Mara ever figures out what the only alternative to hippie baby might be…
@thesunfloweramazon I would weep copious tears of pumpkin-beer-induced sorrow if anyone ever named my precious Guen baby anything with an absurdly-placed apostrophe!!!
Although Fredegund is a good model for how I would guess Mara might want her Guen to raise a potential child?
@Chriswa27 Hm, it would indeed be very cool if Guen’s child could learn as early as possible that nobody hurts their cat / dog!! Guen will (if I can pull it off) have some influence on her own child’s personality. As for Mordred… Guen will be around for some of his childhood, but good luck trying to influence that kid… More like, good luck trying to keep him from influencing everyone around him…
When it comes to Mordred, I’ll be sensitive to the potential inversion of the Wife Husbandry trope, and will do everything I can to avoid sexualizing him in any way while he’s still a child. We’ve already seen that he’s capable of defying time in one sense (through dreams), and if Guen is interested in romancing him, he’ll offer some possible, if imperfect, solutions to the age-gap issue. (Not that an age gap is necessarily a “problem” in need of solutions; YMMV.)
@OtherGrimm @FoxalypticWorld Mordred is indeed able to influence the past. Whether or not he is responsible for his own conception is kind of a chicken-and-egg question that you’ll have a fairly good explanation for at the end of part 3.
(And ONCE AGAIN I need a :smiling_baby_chicken_demon: emoji!!! Why do the Emoji Gods not understand how crucial the :smiling_baby_chicken_demon: emoji is to my self-expression?!?!?!?)
@GloriaRose Welcome back; it’s great to see you! I think it’s wonderful that you like playing both manipulative Guen and faithful Guen.
Your manipulative Guen should have no problem ruining both Arthur and Lancelot with Mordred’s assistance. I’m glad you like Lancelot a little more; that’s what I was going for in this part; not that I expect everyone to love him, but I wanted to give some reasons for some Guens to be a little more appreciative of him. (Of course, I also loved writing the option for Guen to attack him, probably a little too much.) And very glad you like Morgana. She’s a bit of a self-projection, so I’m always happy when people like her.
@poison_mara Now I want to make a cross stitch sampler that says “LOVE HOTELS: THE PLACE WHERE JAPANESE GOES TO BANG YES LOL” with little cross-stitched love hotel pictures all around the edges.
But that’s probably the pumpkin beer talking.
Will it be possible to get more children than this one?
For your daughter or son to face Mordred in combat… I think teaching them the sword/leadership/light magic if possible would make for a good ruler. Of course, I can imagine how Guen would act as a good mother but I just can’t picture how Arthur would make a father… Maybe I still see him as too childish for a child… If that makes sense.
Anyway, I see them as the classic warrior prince/princess archetype. Resting on the heel of their sword while gazing over the battlefield. Guen may rule as queen, but her son/daughter could well up leading her army.
Can’t get my thoughts straight… Anyway, I await further updates.
@Havenstone SCREAMS now i’ll be upset if their second isn’t named that. ironically though, if it’s a boy it will probably be arthur- I believe most people put their bets on that one for the first one.
@jeantown Galahad my sweet prince. My favorite second gen Arthurian character. I can’t wait to see any interaction between second gen kids- those always change a lot depending on the version imo.
AND OH MAN THE IDEA OF GAWAIN AND MORDRED AGAINST EACH OTHER FOR THE THRONE.
And ahaha omg poor Arthur. I actually wondered if Arthur would be the only possible father since I thought it was implied it takes some fancy light magic to get them their kid? And I wondered if that meant it def. had to be Arthur then. Also I would wonder, if Pendragon kids have magic associated with their bloodlines, would that mean anyone would know Guenevere Jr. isn’t his kid…
And just for your tears about badly placed apostrophe’s in Guenevere Jr.'s name, I’m now referring to Guenevere Jr. as Guen’e’ver’e Jr. And I’ll add three more when I find out what its real name is. Nyah.
And also your description of bby Mordred can only make me imagine all my Guens going: http://38.media.tumblr.com/237e291bd743a0b36ef4eff5b758dee7/tumblr_n67malSBlK1sp7hlko5_500.jpg
I know @jeantown why there is a love hotel emoji if there is not a love one?? the chicken demon could be cool but reallyn half emojis ere weird and non sense

I’m a little late, but… I ended up going to Michaelsmount cause I guess I was worried about him. Even though I’m simply in the friendship category with how I’ve played with my Guen, I still worried that he might get hurt cause I’m a sucker for this type of stuff. And I assumed Morgana would be alright but I didn’t know you could get to her first
I sent Lancelot back to Camelot and I guess I’m hoping for the best for Frankmarch (I did tell Tilda that the decoder was in the kitchen).
I really like the more complex relationships I can have with the characters. I didn’t want My Guen to be ugly to Arthur but I didn’t want to lead him either. Also with Lancelot, I was happy to see that I didn’t need to have sex as soon as it was a possibility to continue a romantic relationship. And Morgana is awesome as well but I still worry about telling her about a possible relationship with Lancelot so they aren’t best friends where my Guen could tell her anything.
I guess what would make me or my Guen feel most powerful is what I was hinting to about in the first paragraph. I love the concept of the girl saving the guy scenario, which is something that I almost never see or seen done right in fiction. So that’s partly the reason why My Guen is going to Michaelsmount (besides the fact that I like him even though he tends to do stupid things like bringingsheepintothecastleugh) to see that scenario play out. Cause I’m kind of the protective type. Up until this point though, I’ve never felt Guen was powerless even during the kidnapping part. And while I want to play out my primary Guen’s storyline first, I will definitely go back and try the other choices later. I’m having a lot of fun reading and playing your story!
