Guenevere (WIP)

As for how Guen might use the carrot “off screen,” I leave that to your interpretation.

Nooooo head canon image! Now i cant imagine Morgana without… :(( imagine if i put poison in there >:-)

I never should have mentioned the carrot. :expressionless:

@jeantown You’re in luck then, they’re seemingly available on youtube. :slight_smile:

@jeantown yeah, now deal with my mental canon of killing morgana poisoning a carrot. Funny thing is carrots are good for sight so no blind problems :wink:

Killing… Morgana…? That… As a mistress of the dark arts and someone who knows their way around herbology, I find it very unlikely that Morgana could be killed by a poisoned carrot. And not only if she were to die from a bad vegetable, suspicion would fall upon Guen, as thickheaded as Arthur maybe be and as whimsical Lancelot may be, they can put 2 and 2 together and add up that Guen and Morgana had bad history.

Let’s see… ah! Got it.

Guen is eating dinner with everyone else, around the round table. Morgana and Guen have been… “exploring” each other of late and have been giving each other longing looks when no one is looking. With that said, Guen is eating dinner, mashed potatoes, roast beef and… carrots.
Guen is next to Arthur, who won’t stop talking to one of his knights. Lancelot is focused on charming a few chambermaids. Anyway, Guen is slowly eating her meal when she notices Morgana staring at her. Long black hair down, little dark eyeliner, plate empty… except for a carrot.

Guen gives her a quizzical look and Morgana slowly reaches for the carrot. She softly picks it up and slowly brings brings it to her mouth, but she doesn’t bite it. She gives a coquettish smirk, almost teasingly so. Guen hasn’t noticed that she’s leaned forward in her seat, and is staring at Morgana playing with the carrot. Guen mouths “Bite it,” and Morgana does. Morgana then proceeds to eat the carrot normally and gives a soft afterwards, one that Guen returns.

After dinner, Arthur has a war meeting that will run late and Lancelot disappeared behind a door with a few giggling maids. Guen is in her room reading when a certain dark hair sorceress appears. Guen puts away her book and goes over and hugs Morgana. She questions what the deal was with the carrot. Morgana explains that even the most normal, ordinary things in this world can have a soft side if you know enough about them. She then further explains that it was just her way of having some fun, being… soft, in front of other people.

Morgana then pushes Guen onto the bed and ravages her! RAWR!
That’s how this story ends.

I think the carrot could be a euphemism but not in the way you’re thinking. A situation to describe someone rather than a physical object.

Besides, anything to write more fan-fiction on these two and the carrot was too good an opportunity to pass up.

I’ve played through a few times and I really can’t wait until the second part is released. It’s enjoyable that the player gets so many options to dictate Guen’s personality, and I love how the characters comment on the decisions you make. It makes for wonderfully fun replay value. Personally, GuenxLance is super super cute, so I’m looking forward to how their relationship continues in the next installments. All in all, good luck writing!

Wow @Taiho that was some intense dose of fanfiction :slight_smile: It was… a pleasure to read this :smiley:

@jeantown From what i always thought there was no “real” version, as for it was an invented story from start. But the version i thought was “canon” was that Arthur got excalibur from stone; his knights searched for holy grail; Morgana was evil and tricked Arthur to concieve Mordred by magicly disguising herself as Guenevere (and that’s one of the rasons why i like your version so much, that Morgana is not an evil person here); Lancelot had affair with Guenevere, Arthur learned about it and cast both of them away; Whem Mordred was adult he waged a war against Camelot and killed Arthur during battle and died himself.
I was never too much of a fan of Arthurian legends, but i like yours very much :slight_smile:

Okay I will never look at a carrot the same way again…

@MutonElite Cool, I think I found them (if they’re from 1979)?

@Taiho Way to divert expectations! That’s like the least obscene sexy-carrot story I can imagine. :slight_smile:

@flowersloveoranges Thank you! I’m always glad to hear when anyone likes Guen/Lance! (Morgana and Arthur seem to be more popular for some reason, but Lancelot does have his fans.) Hope you’ll like the next part! :slight_smile:

@Ponku I guess the things that seem like “canon” are just the ones that get repeated the most. Most of them go back to Geoffrey of Monmouth and/or Malory, who were the really high-profile Arthur writers of the middle ages. (But they both took liberties and made stuff up if they felt like it.) But lots of versions, especially those early Celtic ones, do things differently. So yeah, I guess there’s a canon in the sense that people expect to see certain things if they read an Arthurian story, but not in the sense that there’s one original “official” version that everything else is based on.

@JanusVonDul Tell me about it. I regret ever mentioning the carrot. I’m afraid the actual in-story carrot is going to be rather disappointing by comparison. :slight_smile:

@jeantown Yep that’ll be them.

@flowersloveoranges Count me in as a member of Team Lance, too :slight_smile:

As an old grumpy man, the arthurian legends has been changed,modified and retold.in varying degrees so its more about the reader’s take on them. @JeanTown I find yours to be refreashing. So far all the characters has their own unique traits which adds to them. I thank you @JeanTown for this refreashing take on the arthurian legends

@JanusVonDul Glad you approve. :slight_smile: I believe that all fiction is fanfiction in one way or another (nobody writes in a vacuum), but it’s a lot more obvious with Arthurian stuff.

Just want to say that I’m part of #teamlance XD
I also really enjoyed your game. Replayed it last night and it was still as good as I remembered from a few months ago. :3

@Lillian Thank you! That’s good to hear. :slight_smile: Part 2 is still progressing steadily, if a bit more slowly the past few weeks (had some health issues, but they should be resolved soon).

@jeantown >:D< i hope you will get better soon cheers

@jeantown, health issues as in health variables in the Wip, or literal injuries or sickness?

@poison_mara Thank you! :slight_smile:

@Doctor Health issues as in my personal hit points have been low for the last month. I’m having a medical procedure tomorrow morning, and after that I should be back to my usual self within a week or so.

Get well soon :slight_smile:

Thanks, @Pepper! :slight_smile:
