Guenevere (WIP)

I’ve changed since playing a bunch. Just falling for Arthur so hard the first time I played made it hard for me to venture out. But, I’ve fallen for each character for different reasons. Part of me wants them all. I’m never sure how to approach the war I just want to do right. My Guen always changes bc I love exploring this amazing book but and truth it be great to get to have something from Guens home with her or some way that she has a culture all her own.

My Guen is pretty much a female Arthur but with light magic

Wow, thanks, everyone! This is extremely helpful. Sometimes I write stuff into the game and think, “Is anyone even going to see this?” but from the range of different Guens I’m hearing about here, it seems like everything I’m putting into part 2 is going to work for someone. I can’t wait to see what everybody thinks of part 2, especially the possible endings – it’s turning out to be a lot more complex than part 1. I’m seriously going insane from not having it done yet!

Anyway, I absolutely love hearing all of these different interpretations of Guen’s character! I’m thrilled that the game allows for that much variety.

Yikes, I made my Guen utterly despise Arthur, but being a softie I eventually fell.

OK, so everyone is posting thier Guens, i gues i post mine too
She wasn’t to happy that her husband was choosen without her, but she believes that her father wouldn’t choose anyone bad. When she heard more good things about Arthur and saw him in person how handsome he is she started to fall for him. She sees how good person Morgana is and want to help her anyway she could. She don’t like Lancelot to much and thinks of him as kind of a playboy, but giving him a second chance seeing how close he is to Arthur. She wants Arthur’s vision to come true, but understands it would be hard to achieve and that is sometimes unrealistic, but belives it to be the good goal to strive for. She want to be a valuable queen for britain not only for simply being Arthur’s wife but also a good leader on her own.

So that’s more or less my “main” Guen, but i played many other personalities and like them very much too.

if we’re talking about guens, i made a post on mine a while back: http://thesunfloweramazon.tumblr.com/post/84225086852/guenevere-headcanons

(Also, I was replaying and saw the new options you can respond to Arthur with when you talk in the tent about heirs, and it really made me happy!)

@thesunfloweramazon I totally missed your tumblr post! soooo glad you mentioned it here so I got a second chance! I just love how much thought you put into those characters. The images are gorgeous – if that’s a doll maker (?) it’s the nicest I’ve ever seen (not that I know much about them).

Yeah, I was reading back through everything a few days ago, and I got to the heir conversation and realized the replies were a lot more limited than I thought. Someone pointed out awhile back in the thread that an ace Guen basically had to lie (to Morgana as well, if Guen wants a Morgana romance). It was a good point, and I felt kind of dumb for not having realized that. I quickly added the “not naked with” option for Morgana, but at the time I couldn’t quite think of what to add for Arthur. I’m still not 100% happy with what’s there, but I think it’s better than nothing.

@jeantown

The doll maker is here: http://www.azaleasdolls.com/fantasygirl.html. It was the closest I could get at the moment to the image in my head. I might try to make a better one with Sims Medieval, ahaha.

And yep, give me a game with a PC whose personality I can make up and watch me go overboard. Just wait till the next book or two, by the end of them all I’ll have a dozen or so, pffft.

I think it works really well, what you put it! I was so suprised to see it and it made me so happy- especially since it came off as VERY human, as is with all the other more personality specific answers. Answers that cover a lot of personalities are great, but everytime a more specific answer is thrown in the pot, like the just gives it a little extra specialness and gets you attached more.

How long till part 2? Rough estimate

@shirette No change from what I’ve been saying all along: If nothing goes wrong in my life, and if I’m able to get as much extra writing time as I’m hoping to get over the summer, part 2 should be done by the end of 2014. Part 1 took more than a year and a half to write, and part 2 is significantly more complicated, so if I can get it done in just a year, I’m going to be very impressed with myself.

We all will be impressed impressed @jeantown it will be great

And thanks @PurpleMonkey121; every stat list helps, particularly as I’m figuring out how to do the “fast-forward to part 2” thing. Your Guen must have worked hard to keep Lancelot at arm’s length!

What’s the name of your book again?

@vampierkid222 You mean my New Arcana novels? They’re on kindle here, but I’m seriously thinking of putting them on wattpad over the summer. The books are selling, but Kindle publishing hasn’t been very fulfilling for me (prob gonna write a blog post about that next month).

Ahhh I’ve been missing on so much Guenevere! I need to start being more active!

To start my reform, I’ll post my about Guen before it’s too late!

She was against being in an arranged marriage but she eventually agreed because she felt responsible for her family. Guen came into everything fairly innocent; all she hoped for was someone who was kind to her and she would play the role she had to, whether she truly loved her future husband or not. Fortunately for her, Arthur is a complete sweetie and everything seemed ok (except for the part where she was nearly killed!)! My Guen knew she had power, but she didn’t realise how much power she held until she used her light magic to help Arthur’s soldier on the battlefield, and him and everyone started chanting her name. Then, she started to think more for herself. Guen knew that she wasn’t just Arthur’s wife, but she forgot that she was the queen of Camelot. And now that she’s self-aware, she’s developed an appetite. Whether they knew her as kind, smart, strong - it didn’t matter. All that was important is that they know she was their queen, and she intends to rule. She favours Arthur’s goal and intends to work towards it, but on her terms - whether Arthur is well-aware or not. Guen knows she can be persuasive and disguise her words as his. Hopefully, it won’t end badly because she does love Arthur. (But also, conflicting feelings for Lancelot! Oh, the drama!!) Yeah, that’s my Guen

*a clip of Margaery Tyrell saying she wants to be The Queen loops for eternity*

@ceecrab The amount of character development in your Guen is phenomenal. I’m just… blown away that you built that complex of a personality shift into just what’s there in part 1. It kind of feels like I made a Lego set and someone built a working rocketship out of it. I seriously cannot wait to see what you do with the future installments!

Yes @jeantown you created an awesome and almost endless configurations of Guens in your first part. I want to see if dome good Guen fall to the dark side or vice versa in further episodes my Guen only personality conflict would be Mordred and how deal with love your hippie husband incestuous child, that you have been dreaming with since childhood. Also, I hate Barbie but I would use it like a puppet I could make his wife cheat him with Guen? Just to make Barbie suffer

@jeantown Thank you, I’m glad you feel that way about her! It’s exactly what @poison_mara said, you created a fantastic world with endless variations of Guens. You gave us so much freedom to choose who we want her to be. She has so many complex layers, it’s so exciting and fun to experiment! So, thank you, Jean! I can’t wait to see what you have for future installments!
What about you, though? Do you have any canon Guens or just that one Guen you always play as when you test out new sections?

I’m waaay into this (and sorry for my crappy photoshop skills but) this is what she should look like! Basically, Emilia Clarke as a redhead hahahah!

@poison_mara My Guen bows down to what your Guen has in store for Barbie >:)

Your amazing Jean every thing about your writing.
