Guenevere (WIP)

EMMA I HATE HER X( is the demon in my game universe, so they curse, saying For Emma Or Emma would yell at you until you die! Or my favorite lullaby shut up and sleep of Emma would come here. But yeah if you make a character so alive to cause hatred mean you are a great writer. You have to watch me reading Oliver twist lol I feel so angry with him that I have problems to finish book so stupid boy lol its the Emma boy!

I started playing this just to kill some time but this game slaughtered my entire evening and left me hungry for more  . I like the way you can shape Guen character beacouse there are many options to pick. When I played for the first time my Gwen was similar to Margaery Tyrell: kind to people around her but she was also thinking what she should do to be the best queen. So I supported Arthur beacouse this is what good queen and wife should do (I need to build my image before i start changing things in my kingdom  )

I like the way you write your characters. They are so different but you can feel they are very close. I liked Arthur, he was very sweet and kind and I just can’t be mean to him (beacouse I feel like I’m kicking little puppy). Lancelot on the other hand was annoying and his affection was tirring. He said he cares about Arthur but still he is trying to interfere with almost everything between Gwen and Arthur (Lance this, Lance that, dude at least get out of my bed beacouse I don’t want to hear about you on my wedding night). Last but not least is Morgana: I loved her. She was wise and honest and I like my women inteligent and mysterious  . She understand Gwen situation and I like how she doesn’t care what people think about her. Making her laught (when i told Lancelot I was into women) was like a reward

I don’t like to make my characters mean, but I wanted to check out dreams that appear when you make Gwen antisocial and I was suprised that this playthrough turned out to be amusing. Gwen was soo depressed and just pushed away everyone who wanted to talk to her (this path made me like Arthur more beacouse he was considerate towards Gwen even if she was dissapointing). So Gwen was being depressed until she got an advice on her second dream, that she need to get people to love her. Then Arthur came with his talk about needing a heir so I made my Gwen turn 180 degree andshe was like: ok, lets do that then. It was funny how suprised and suspicious he was (though not for long, she must be super beautiful or something)

I enjoyed this part (played it at least 10 times  ) and I’m waiting for part 2. I just hope skills have more use in the future beacouse I want to know if I have good combination (usually light magic as my first skill and leadership as second)

Yep more lance haters in the making I think.

Ha then I will start the Lance support group. Even if I’m not necessarily sure if I want my Guen with him, he’s my favorite character.

@jjc73 I doubt any of us will ever be able to come close to @poison_mara’s supreme mastery of villianousness. But thanks – I really am just as happy when people dislike my characters as when they like them; it’s not caring at all that would worry me. I hope you’ll have fun telling Lancelot to back the hell off.

@poison_mara Your experience with Oliver Twist sounds like me watching Orange is the New Black. I like the show a lot, but the main character’s stupidity makes me scream.

@Vrolet hee I’m glad to know your evening was slaughtered in such a way. Thanks for playing and for all the feedback on your experiences with the game! Your first Guen’s personality should play through pretty consistently, I think. I’m glad you enjoyed the characters; it’s always gratifying to hear that they came across in ways I intended. Morgana needs someone to make her laugh; she hasn’t always had the best circumstances, so if her relationship with Guen can cheer her up, that’s very good. And I’m glad you tried the playthrough with antisocial Guen, and took Mordred’s advice! (That was an interesting way of taking the advice.)

Skills will matter throughout part 2, but there’s no particularly good or bad combination of skills – it really depends on what Guen wants to achieve. Part 2 will have several different endings (or rather, different combinations of possible outcomes). Particular skills and reputation stats will make particular endings easier to achieve. Each ending will have its pros and cons.

All this Lance-hate has made me spend the evening skipping ahead and working on the scene where Guen can be mean to him (or, conversely, @olo17jr, show just how much she likes him, if she wants to). I almost never write things out of sequence, but I was feeling inspired.

I don’t know if I’d kill lance cause then with either play thurs I did would harm Morg or Art. Now once set to be with Mordred, I’d try my best to put Lance out of my Guens life. And your right about not being able to match mara’s masterfulness of evilness. I bet she would make any known villian hold their head in shame for not being evil enough. That a girl Mara! (Comes from a movie ghost and a chicken line that a boy Wilbur)

I had a weird dream lol, I replay too much your game. My Guen convinces Lancelot to dress like a barbie in Victoria secrets underwear. Ac
nd then make Arthur comes saying Lancelot try to rape her but Arthur say he is only taking a nap in my bed. I launch a rock to his face killing him and i wake up.

@poison_mara you sure that’s not a nightmare since you hated them?

Well, I kill a hippie so its ok and Barbie could be a pain in the ass but is handsome too.

@poison_mara ok, I can live with that.

@jjc73 Well, Lancelot won’t be killable (unless maybe in the last book) – he’s too important for the plot. But Guen should be able to make him very miserable, and if so, he’ll stay away from her as much as he can.

@poison_mara mwa ha ha now you see my true evil nature… why poison someone when I can infiltrate their subconscious? >:) Mordred would approve, by the way.

@jeantown Antisocial Gwen want to take over the kingdom and starting from the man who holds the most power in country sounds like a good idea. I might create a scary sociopath (if you let me  )

@poison_mara That’s rather scary dream. At least you had that rock. Next time try to get double kill

@Vrolet Welcome to the Sociopats Guen club you need a nick for your Guen mine is poison queen. If you tell me her attributes i could give her a nick

@poison_mara Since you are a poison specialist I think I’m left with manipulation, because I don’t think I can heal somebody to death  . I’m stubborn with life magic and leadership skills so Gwen must make other people do the dirty job and take the blame.

And in the other universe good Gwen will rule the country with Arthur and Morgana at her sides and Lancelot somewhere in the friendzone. That way my conscience will be clear

Well, there were a bunch of nurses psychos and poisoners just saying :)) . Imagine this barbie or hippie is gravely hurt you could use your light magic in a way he doesn’t suffer pain, but the illness is not really cured or will return in a fight then when he return fight he dies and everyone happy. Or change his health potion for peppermint sulfuric acid instead toothpaste. The options are endless you could be the Nurse guen.

I wonder if my Gwen could be queen material, stern yet loving around Arthur and then meek and mild around Morgana?
Also I’ve booked marked this thread to keep an eye on progress, I can say that I am genuinely interested in this.

Sorry for the late replies, I’m kind of prepping for exams :frowning:

@jeantown Oooh The Witcher! I definitely should give that a try too now that I think about it. I hope you enjoy yourself when you play it!

@Ponku I’m happy someone appreciates my Tom Hiddleston image spams  Omg I love that gif! Sassy Arthur definitely wins my heart :x Any chance of that happening, @jeantown? [-O<

@Vrolet and @poision_mara I have a character planned for part 3 whose primary skills will be leadership and light magic, but who is also a fairly ruthless person – not evil or manipulative, but uncompromising and pragmatic. Skills in light magic give Guen a reputation for being kind, because that’s people’s stereotype of light mages, but Guen’s real personality can be quite different from her reputation. In theory a person could use healing abilities for evil or manipulation if desired, so we’ll just have to see how much of that may be possible in the plot of the game.

@Taiho I think that could probably work. Certainly Guen can be stern and loving with Arthur. Morgana herself is not very meek and only a little mild, but she appreciates kindness and honesty from Guen, and she would respect a Guen who was able to keep Arthur from doing anything too stupid. Glad you’re interested!

For anyone who’s curious about current progress on part 2: I think I’m almost halfway through scene 5 (out of 15). On Friday I skipped ahead and wrote a bit of scene 7 with Lancelot, because I was feeling inspired by people’s differing feelings about him, but now I’m solidly back into working on scene 5 and hope to finish it in the next couple of weeks. Still hoping to have part 2 finished by the end of the year.

@ceecrab I finally did start The Witcher, and it’s beautiful. Complicated (in a good way), and very pretty. But manly! I feel oh so manly! Monsters fear me and all the women want me! I am a paragon of manly manliness! Also the music is pretty good.

Sassy Arthur? Hmmm… sadly, probably not… he can have some personality changes, but that would be a pretty big change for him. But all that means is that someone else needs to write a King Arthur story with a different Arthur.

@jeantown Ooooh that sounds really cool, I really need to try it now! That and Assassin’s Creed! Hahahha omg another paragon of manly manliness. So in your opinion, does Geralt challenge Varric for the title of the Paragon of Manliness?
Not to worry, I still dig Arthur nonetheless! At least I’ll have sassy Gwen

Ugh, Witcher. One of the few roleplaying games I absolutely don’t enjoy. Probably because I hate Geralt and how the game seems so adamant on turning him into a chick magnet. Makes me feel like I’m playing a game aimed at teenaged boys. ā€œLook! BOOBIES!ā€
Yeah, definitely not my kind of game.
