Guenevere (WIP)

Yes, everyone cheers @jeantown :)) for my Mordred is like Damon in vampire diaries oh so handsome :x . I hope we soon could play the second part.

I would never question @poison_mara’s humanity, because wanting to poison people seems like a rather exclusively human desire. :stuck_out_tongue: But I could be wrong about that – maybe our smartphones and/or our cats are conspiring to poison us all.

@GloraRose going well, got a lot written this week, and this morning while I was exercising I had some good ideas for part 4. I sprained my foot a few weeks ago but now it’s almost back to normal and I can exercise again, which is important because I have my best writing ideas while working out. How are things going with you?

@ceecrab Thank you! I was thinking I might just play some video games this afternoon, but now that I see how happy Tom is, maybe I can find the energy to work on Guen some more. (I’m serious.)

In other news, @suburbanbeatnik has been working on a few concept sketches for possible spot illustrations that I might include if/when the game is released commercially 1000 years from now. I’m planning to post them on my blog in a few days, so I’ll try to remember to let you guys know when they’re available to look at. I don’t want to have any character illustrations, because I want the readers to be able to imagine the characters however they like, so these will just be some little things (like a sword and a crown and swirly lines) to mix in with the text.

@poison_mara I haven’t seen Vampire Diaries, but I looked up Damon and I think your casting is appropriate. However @ceecrab is more than welcome to imagine Tom as Mordred, too. That’s the beauty of not having character illustrations.

@jeantown Ohh If Mordred become a vampire I would die of happiness. Now seriously, there could be a Mara roman bard witch cameo ? Could ? Please [-O< only a small phrase …

@poison_mara ooooh Ian Somerhalder 8-> A very nice choice, Mara! Very nice!

@jeantown Hahahaha omg! Are you actually serious? I know you put ā€œ(I’m serious)ā€ at the end of your message but I still have to ask! Behold, the power of Tom Hiddleston! And trust me, I have no trouble imagining Tom as anyone! Unless I imagine that person to be Michael Fassbender then I might have a problem :-t

@poison_mara sorry no vampires but I had already wondered if I might be able to work in a reference to a certain expert in poisons. If the right moment arises, I’ll grab it.

@ceecrab totally serious. Just now I wrote a little conversation between Guen and Morgana about a certain magic sword. And I was imagining them both being played by Tom. (Well, maybe not the whole time.) I really was thinking I might download a video game, but I’m glad I wrote some more instead, because every little bit I write makes me happy.

Awesome! @jeantown and now you could play a little you deserve it.

@jeantown uggh poor you i know exactly how a sprain feels good to know that your better now and that your doing fine >:D< me i am just doing fine you know the usual when your in university and its just study, study and study :-j
Either way i am so looking forward to the part of Guen when i will finally meet Mondred :x and look into his hot silver eyes =P~ hahaha and make him mine :"> while Arthur cries.

Vampires in king arthur’s court lol

Hmm, that reminds me, are we going to see some of the more fantastical elements of the King Arthur myth? Giants, faeries, or the knight of the round table who was a werewolf?

Now I'm picturing the knights of the round table as a werewolf pack.

If there will be a pack of wolverines with armor I want my Mordred vampire lol. I’m imagining Barbie as a golden werewolf like a fat golden retriever agggh disgusting.

I don’t like the idea of this going with vampires and werewolfs

Giants are okay though I can see them kind of ? :-/

I don’t like that for some reason for a medieval magical court book.

Unless

Because I think vampire and werewolfs would have to be focused a lot in order to be good especially in this story

And I just don’t like sorry [-X >:)

@GloriaRose Thanks for the sympathy! I hope all your studying pays off. I guess the end of your semester must be in sight at this point? Poor Arthur… upstaged by his own son… well, we’ll see how it all plays out.

@stsword There will be some fantasy elements, but they’ll be relatively closely inspired by medieval legends (my Meligaunt is a half-giant, for example, and there will be an oracular pond sort of thing in part 3, and there are fae/faerie elements coming from Avalon). With apologies to @poison_mara, I don’t have plans to include werewolves or vampires at the moment. I think a medieval story featuring vampires and/or werewolves could be great, but as @ricepatrick suggests, I think they’d need to be the focus of the story in order for it to work. But Mordred could, I suppose, be interpreted to have some slightly vampire-like qualities – just not immortal blood-sucking qualities.

Great the idea of barbie like a big doggie hunting my Guen was horrifying. This story dont need them

@jeantown omg. Well I hope you get to download and play your game now! What game were you thinking of downloading?

@poison_mara I’m glad we agree on that.

@ceecrab I never played the Witcher games, but @ponku, who is an absolutely lovely person, talked me into wanting to try them. I prefer melee combat games to shooters (not that I don’t love Mass Effect and Borderlands for all their good qualities). So one of these days when I have some time I’m going to play The Witcher. As it turned out, the second part of my afternoon was hijacked by some other very pleasant activities. I have zero regrets. (But I’ll get to The Witcher eventually.)

Aww, thanks @jeantown
The Witcher games are very good; sometimes funny, sometimes serious and with quite hard but enjoyable gameplay and gorgeous graphics. Probably the biggest downside is not being able to create your own character. But i just stop now to not be too offtopic

About vampires i too think that including them would drive the story to much to them; and i also never heard of version of Arthur’s legend with werewolves.

@ceecrab i love your TH images  also here is how i more or less imagine my Arthur in a few years: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7jh6u8iEE1rxz9ifo1_r1_500.gif

Any estimate on when part two will come out?

@jeantown thanks jean yeah my studies will definetly pay off  im having my summer break in about 2 months and a half. Haha yeah poor arthur! Just one question have you some ideas if arthur will try to kill Guen or Mondred when he learns about them?

HIPPIE KILLING SOMEONE? I HARDLY DOUBTT IT, HE GIVE YOU A SPEECH AND BOTH YOU AND MORDRED DIE BY BOREDSOME. Now seriously, he won’t understand Guen like another man over him. And you and Mordred have to make a explaining map for him.

Okay you guys are giving me the impression you have no idea what I’m talking about, so:

Sir Melion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melion

Sir Morrok: http://ealuscerwen.wordpress.com/2007/04/09/the-tale-of-sir-marrok/

ā€œdog headsā€: http://www.epictales.org/blog/robertblog.php/2008/12/06/more_on_king_arthur_and_werewolves

King Gorlagon: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Folk-Lore/Volume_15/Arthur_and_Gorlagon

I’m hardly going to pout if this game doesn’t include werewolves, but werewolves have been a part of arthurian legend for centuries now.

Hopefully they won’t be the sculpted-abs-native-American-sparkly kind.
