I hate to ask, but do you foresee including some lore of the Goddess in a future installment of Guenevere? I admit, I’m really partial to such things, but I also understand not including such things since it would add to word count. I can easily see a Guen that is rather devout.
And to tie into the unicorn, perhaps a unicorn is considered a symbol of the Goddess…and to espy one would be believed to be a sign of her favor.
Well jean did say she was going to add some type of “light sword”, and I feel like you can’t have Lancelot Du Lac without La Femme du Lac, Lady of the Lake. I wouldn’t be surprised if there will be a Goddess in the future!
If so, where can I find the best crossbow for anti-air targets? Surely a hunter’s shop would have something they use to kill birds mid-air! I shall use the Ruthless Ambitious Guen’s sword ability (combat ability) to best that unicorn!
LOL THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES
innocent Arthur picking up something sparkly and nice and showing Guen and Guen telling him that it’s actually unicorn poop
Since she’s the queen, I don’t think anyone in the game is going to object to Guen wearing a sword even if she doesn’t really know how to use it. Darkmagic!Guen or Morgana will certainly be able to wear Meligaunt’s sword and use it as a power source even if she can’t use it as a sword.
If there is, it would be in part 4 when Guen visits Avalon. She’ll have a long talk with Lady Vivien. Not sure yet how much Goddess-lore per se will come up, but it certainly could. I still need to do a little more to hammer out the exact history of Goddess-worship in the Guenverse, and how it came to supersede the druids’ nature-worship.
There will be another possible Morgana sex scene at the end of part 2.
I don’t think the unicorn will be able to fly. It will just be magically evasive.
No promises. But not ruling it out. Good for me to think about.
Yes, but it may be a very long time before you find out exactly what. Though there will be some blatant hints in part 3.
I like the fact that you’re writing the options for Guen so that it’s based off of ruthless vs peaceeful (or neutral) rather than evil vs good. It leaves a lot of options open character wise. So if you want to make a chaotic good Guen, you can. There are plenty of cogs that don’t allow this. Just another reason to love Guenevere, really.
Also, I’m so glad I can be a ruthless Guen with good intentions. Now I can have my dark sword and still be heroic in the eyes of everyone else!
@jeantown, I know this is pretty far in the future and you don’t want to spoil things for us but I have to ask. If Guen is sleeping with both Arthur and Lancelot and ends up having a kid, will it be a random 50/50 chance who the dad is or will certain factors determine it? How would Lance react if the kid came out as his and Guen doesn’t say anything to him? It seems he’s a pretty intuitive guy, way more than Arthur especially. I’d love to see that conversation after the baby is born.
Arthur: Isn’t my kid the greatest, Lance? I’m so excited to be a dad!
Lance (looking at kid that looks a lot like him): Yeah, it’s great. (goes to find Guen alone) Why didn’t you tell me the baby was mine.
Guen: Why didn’t you tell me you were getting married?
I’m pretty sure it won’t be random - you’ll be able to choose who Guen has a child with. Also, I believe it’s been mentioned that Lance will know immediately if the child is his (possibly due to his ‘fae-touched’ nature), so telling him won’t be strictly necessary. Arthur, on the other hand…
@Audien Thanks! I’ve always been fascinated with how games attempt to quantify morality/ethics, and I can’t say I think much of the two-dimensional scale. I’ll keep doing my best to make it as multidimensional as possible.
As @OtherGrimm (who persists in being Always Right) says, it won’t be random in the sense of a die roll. The reader will have control over it, though maybe not in an immediately evident way – you won’t get a choice menu asking who you want the father to be; it will be determined by Guen’s previous actions.
And yes, Lancelot will just know if the baby is his. If Guen is sleeping with both Arthur and Lancelot, and Arthur knows what’s going on, then he’ll also know if the baby is Lancelot’s. If Arthur doesn’t know Guen and Lancelot are involved, he’ll assume it’s his until told otherwise.
