My Guen will be very happy to finally have a child with Arthur, though she’s also a little nervous about living up to motherhood too…
It’s a lot easier when you have plenty of servants to help and a “sky is the limit” royal budget for anything that is needed. Nevertheless I don’t begrudge you your new Mom anxiety. New mom anxiety helps spot problems and keeps vulnerable new borns alive.
Is it normal to ship Maris and Bretta?? I imagine them looking after Guen’s baby together without having a clue about what they are doing.
I guess it’ll depend how the kid is and what they’d like to do. I suspect my Guen isn’t likely to pressure him/ her too much into any one role, though she’ll be happy to make suggestions.
Also she promises to definitely be embarrassing by continuing to flirt playfully with Arthur regardless of whether Junior is about or not. (I mean if it was up to me Guen would be having three kids, but continued ‘fun time’ regardless of embarrassed offspring will do.
)
I don’t ship them, but now that you’ve brought it up, I would love to read about the misadventures of Maris and Bretta on nanny duty.
“Sir Maris and Sir Bretta?”, Arthur calls out from the hall.
“Yes, your majesty?”, the knights respond.
“New orders. Queen Guenevere has just given birth; as such, both of you will be assigned on ‘nanny duties’. You shall begin tomorrow.”
“Ah… of course, your majesty.”
Arthur leaves
The knights start discussing nammy duties.
Arthur strolls into the barracks and catches the two in bed together
“I’ve got something to talk to you abo-. . . . . .Okay, we’ll discuss this later. T’is really no trouble. Erm, enjoy your breakfast?”
Awkwardly strolls out
Edit: Though WAAAAAAY out of left field and completely implausible, the idea of Guinevere ordering those two to get married leaves me giggling like a little schoolgirl.
“Arthur, use your royal power to order Sir Maris and Bretta to get married.”
“I can’t do that!”
“Please, you bought sheep to the castle, got me kidnapped and chased after a doppelgänger, don’t tell me you can’t.”
“But do they want to?”
“Of course. Have you seen how they look at each other?”
Meanwhile, Maris and Bretta (Who probably have the ability to read the queen’s mind) are shopping together for one another’s gifts and going about contacting Vivien, thus to ensure the swift fulfillment of her highness’ will.
As usual, the strangest things happen when I get caught up in life stuff and don’t reply to the thread for a couple days…
Let me know if I missed any direct questions in all the other delightfulness.
As @OtherGrimm says, as always.
Oh my goodness… no, I am tracking way too many things to be able to track and reference different kinds of permanent injuries!
Strong enough that Lancelot can’t defeat him unaided.
Not definite, but it’s the most likely outcome by far. If that’s what happens to you, I’d recommend playing forward anyway – Arthur being permanently injured doesn’t have to be a “failure” per se, and may lead to some relationship developments you wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Someone did suggest letting the reader input a nickname for Arthur, which I might do at some point.
I don’t think so? That would be up to the CoG folks, assuming they’re willing to publish it. You’d get a much better save system, though.
Only in the last book, so it would be more of an ending than a game over. I probably wouldn’t do anything more than the usual save system.

When Lancelot as a toddler was first learning to talk, he called Morgana “Gagana.” He still calls her that sometimes, either to annoy her or because he’s feeling particularly affectionate, or both. (It’s in her prequel.)
Hmmm… That is an interesting angle I had not considered. Let me think it through some more… Either way, I should account for it in the game.
That’s a spoiler.
But I do know the answer.
@Mim I think that might be the best Sims story I’ve ever heard.
Guen’s child will be sort of in the background – acknowledged, but not plot-changing – until part 6, when the child will make a plot difference. For example, in part 4 when the child is still a baby, Guen can either carry it around with her for the entire book, or she can hand it over to nannies.
I do have a plan for that, but I’m afraid it may not work with the rest of the plot structure and is therefore a darling I will have to kill.
Maris and Bretta are deeply confused by all of this speculation.
Can it happen in the background or between books? Like, “Oh by the way, the kid now knows that Lance is his/her dad.” Or will it never happen?
Also, is there ever a chance in the future that Arthur could catch Guen and Lancelot? Not necessarily naked, of course, but find them cuddling or something? I know Guen will be accused of treason later on, but can it happen prior to that?
Will they ever get married or fall in love? Not with each other, just in general.
My Guen is a perfectionist so I’m guessing that whatever it needs to be done in order for her to nail the 3 branches will be done. I just hope we don’t have to murder little children or something.
It’s obvious that after Arthur learns about Guencelot his relationship with both of them can never be quite the same. So, how will he act around Guen or Lance even if he (Arthur) and Guen continue to be a couple? Or it will be just THAT awkward situation?
I have complete faith in @jeantown’s ability to write a better villain transformation than George Lucas…
@P_Tigras and @SiROSTRiKE Let me remind you that this is the Guenevere thread. No Star Wars allowed.
OK guys,
Here are some illustrations of the world of Guenevere!
Morgana’s Potions and Guen’s Room
Enjoy~!

The unicorn is too much famine lol looks like about to pass out the bones are almost out. But a great work in all the rest areas… poor unicorn he needs more carrots and less hugs
Knowing Arthur, I would assume he’d destroy…on he other hand, he’s very tactically minded, likes fighting, he knows Morgana gets tired all the time and likes to use her in fights, he might actually give it to her as a power source.
I agree with giving it to Morgana. He trusts her, so… ^^
