Guenevere (WIP)

I’m hesitant to label her specifically, but she is not very interested in sex or romance in general. She has other things that interest her a lot more. I don’t think the text in the game will give you any reason not to read her as ace or aromantic if you want to. In any case, she’s not interested in women that way at all, so even if she did have a rare romantic or sexual impulse, it wouldn’t be directed toward Guen.

@jeantown

Could ‘faeism’ also be recessively inherited? As in the non-fae offspring of a fae mates with another non-fae (who’s also descendend from a fae) and their offspring could possibly, though very unlikely, be a fae?
Or is it totally magical and not related to genetics in any way?

Will Guen tell Elaine? Or will Lancelot? Or both? Or she will find out by herself? I mean, if that’s not too spoilery. In any case, will a Guen not Lancemancing be able to maintain some sort of relationship with Elaine? :relaxed:

I’m pretty sure it was said earlier in the forum that Lancelot would tell Elaine if he is having a romantic and/or sexual relationship with Guen. Also (anyone correct me if I’m wrong) I think he even tells Elaine without saying anything to Guen first?

I can just imagine my Guen going nuts because of that. you did what!??

Oh yeah, if that does happen then it would definitely warrant an angry response :joy:

Aside from the booty call notebook, Guen will probably need a “people-who-know-my-secrets” list.

Oh God, I can just see it getting progressively bigger as the game goes on (along with Guen’s stress levels, I imagine).

Pencils in another reason why she’s glad her Guen isn’t a Lancemancer

Gonna have enough stress trying to care for Morgana and trying to keep Arthur from getting himself killed, thankyouverymuch.

On the topic of Merlin and Vivien, though - Will we be able to pick their brain in later updates? . . .Maybe with Merlin letting down the veil of madness a bit for dear sweet Guen? I would love to get both their wisdom on the myriad of situations our Guens may find themselves in.

Huh. I hadn’t thought of that, but it doesn’t sound impossible. I’ll say yes for now, because I can’t think of any good reason not to!

Yeah, it’s probably better if I spoil this, because I don’t want people to get too excited about scenes that won’t be happening. By the time Guen finds out that Lancelot has married Elaine, it will be a done deal, and he will already have told Elaine if he’s in a relationship with Guen. Apologies to anyone who was hoping for wedding-ceremony drama. There will be plenty of other drama.

Friendship, absolutely. But Elaine and Guen can’t become romantically or sexually involved under any circumstances.

A bit? Certainly you’ll get to interact more with both of them. Guen and Vivien will spend some time alone together in part 4, so maybe Guen can get some wisdom then.

I look so forward to seeing my Guen Lancemancer losing her, pardon my french, shit. :smiling_imp:

@jeantown The circumstances for Lance to get married must be pretty extreme, right? I mean, he wouldnt just get married all of the sudden without having any reason to, or would he?

Yes, he absolutely has a reason.

And it’s going to be a long, long wait until part 4… sigh.

@jeantown, I have a couple questions. So, there is an obvious chance that Aruthur could die at Mischlemount, but he doesn’t for narrative reasons, is that correct? Is it possible that he ends up wounded the rest of the series and will that affect his personality? Does Guen have to go to Mischlemount or send Lance for Arthur to make it through unscathed?

Also, I can’t find your series outline anywhere! I could swear I read it on this forum or your tumble a while back but can’t find it now. Is it still up for us to read? Sorry about the ten thousand questions. Best luck with the rest of book II and I can’t wait for the next update!

Yes, Arthur can be seriously injured. I think whether or not that affects his personality depends on what Guen says to him. If certain requirements have been met (we don’t know what those are yet), then Arthur can defeat Meligaunt without Lance or Guen present and without serious injury.

The game outline is within the game. Go to the stat screen, then choose Notes About The Future of the Game. The outline is somewhere in there.

Stuck between wanting Arthur safe with no serious injuries and spending time with Lancelot on separate branches than the one Arthur is on😅

It’s a long time until then, but I’ll wait! As long as it takes!

No. I do not accept this reminder of the multiple times I burst into tears. No.

…no.

Yes. Arthur has plot armor until part 7. (which is slated to be called “Le Morte D’Arthur,” so…)

Hm, from what @Mirabella says, I guess I must have answered this (in the past) more specifically than I thought. Yes, it is possible for Arthur to become permanently wounded, and yes, if he does, it can affect his personality, depending on Guen’s influence.

This is true, but, as I’ve said before, I suspect that a lot of people aren’t going to like the “certain requirements.” :frowning:

This. Sorry things are kind of scattered all over the place.

Now this is the kind of tough decision with which I hope to torture all my readers. :smiling_imp: When the time comes, try it both ways and see what you think. The future story should not be less interesting if Arthur is injured, just different.

@Jeantown

What does that mean?

Also, is that French?

Out of sheer curiosity, could Arthur get injured in various ways or do you have a specific injury in mind for him?

Also, what is Meligaunt’s sword ability?
