Guenevere (WIP)

@jeantown

I don’t suppose you could specify those? :grinning:

Super duper magically magical magic.

Does that count as specific magically magical magic?

Arguably she can lose her temper with Lancelot already, under particular circumstances, but I hope to include more of that sort of thing in the future (people seem to like it).

Sort of? Basically? I think?

Arthur will always want to have sex, but he’ll understand if Guen doesn’t.

Traditionally in Arthurian legend, Galahad succeeds where Lancelot fails – Galahad is morally “pure” and achieves the Grail; Lancelot can’t because of his moral failings. I’ll have my own twist on that concept, though the morality will be more open to interpretation.

@NJG They’ll be specified in part 3. :smile:

@Jeantown

So he has some medical conditions, eh? Interesting.

Ah.

Ummmm… since when is wanting to have sex a medical condition?

What state he is in??? So a hardened Arthur gets different magical abilities from a naive Arthur:scream::scream::scream::scream:

Answering that would ruin the deliberate vagueness of my original statement. :smiling_imp:

@jeantown

What? No, what I meant was, based on this:

It kinda made me think that Arthur is a sex addict. That can be bad.

Won’t happen, we were assured this be @jeantown awhile back.

@LanaRose

NJG breathes in relief

Hurray! I don’t have to worry then.

The original question was “Will Arthur stop wanting to have sex.” My answer was “No, but he’ll understand if Guen doesn’t want to.” Arthur’s interest in sex is in no way unusual, excessive, or dangerous. It’s at a level typical of many straight men. And unlike many people who are interested in sex, Arthur will always take “no” for an answer.

@jeantown

the devil is in details… so Arthur will always want to have sex sound like Arthur is nympho maniac. :smile:

taken from a pessimistic context one might think that comment means all men wear pants to protect their brain
i however am only a pessimist some of the time and know what you meant.
perhaps i should wear a second pair of pants for my head, but then how would i see?

kidding kidding that’s what scissors are for :laughing: :dragon:

i love the game by the way and aurthurs strange lopsided thought process at times hes protective and kind and other times his years around adventurous reckless males pop up

Sorry if I failed to communicate what was intended. Language is fallible, and so am I. :smile:

Anyway, @Drakeye, glad you’re enjoying Arthur’s strange lopsided thought process!

You communicated it fine. Some people are just being dopes.

Nah.
we’re just pessimists.
or we take things too literally.
Or we just thought that this line of thought was even funnier.

@jeantown If Guen has a non-sexual courtly love romance with Lancelot, will she be able to change her mind and have sex with him later on?

I’m just asking because Disney Princess Guen is killing herself right now resisting the urge to do so (because committing adultery AND treason=evil princess in every story she’s read). But I can definitely imagine her eventually throwing caution to the wind and giving in completely…maybe in Book III.

Thank you! :smile:

I can pretty much guarantee the answer to that is ‘yes’.

Just like Guen can refuse to sleep with Arthur in Part I, and decide to do it in Part II, Guen will be able to change her mind with Lance later.

My hope is that a Guen who sleeps with someone can refuse to do it again - once she agrees to it with Arthur in Part I, the game assumes she’s okay with it from that point on. I believe that’s something @jeantown was thinking about fixing, though.

As usual, @OtherGrimm is correct. :slight_smile: The exception would be if Guen made Lancelot swear never to touch her again. He takes his promises seriously and doesn’t break them.

Other than that, I want to make it possible for Guen’s attitude toward Lancelot to change in all sorts of ways (positive or negative), including ending or beginning a romance and/or sex later on. (For example, maybe Guen had sex with him in Frankmarch but doesn’t have romantic feelings about him, but later she does.) Lancelot will change as a person over the series, and, of course, Guen can, too.

And yes, changing the assumption that Guen has ongoing sex with Arthur after the first time is at the top of my edit list.
