@WulfyK
Thatâs soâŚprobably true.
Why, why does Guenevere have to be so darn goodâŚthen take so long to make?!
@WulfyK
Thatâs soâŚprobably true.
Why, why does Guenevere have to be so darn goodâŚthen take so long to make?!
I suspect those two things are closely related.
Oh my goodness, I hope not.
I really, really hope not. I might go crazy if that happens.
Uh⌠Iâm open to suggestion?
Because Merlin is unusual. Thereâs no one else quite like him; and thereâs no carrot quite like his carrot.
Basically, yes. Clubs, wood-axes, pitchforks, staves, and hunting bows. That said, being called to fight is a normal part of whatâs expected of them, so theyâre neither surprised nor useless. Their advantage is numbers rather than training (in tactical terms, theyâre a zerg rush).
Merlin arrives from DruidCon. When you approach him to get your t-shirt, he apologizes and explains that he didnât bring one. Naturally, you look at Merlin and say,
âMerlin, you are under arrest for not bringing me a t-shirt from DruidCon. Sir Maris, order the guards to take Merlin to the dungeon. His trial will take place tomorrow morning at noon.â
Sir Maris and the guards lead a protesting Merlin to the dungeon.
Seriously though, is there any law in in-game Britain about ânot bringing Her Majesty a t-shirtâ?
Anyway, if the MC successfully defeats the Frankish army, the MC will get to choose what do do with the POWs, right? If so, can there be an option for a ruthless MC to behead them and place their heads on the channel? That will be a good message for Frankmarch.
@jeantown A zerg rush often means high casualties for the rushers. And since in real life and in a realistic game the peasants canât be respawn quickly, wouldnât the best tactic be to keep them away from fight?
I doubt they even have T-ShirtsâŚ
@WulfyK
And sacrifice your disciplined and well trained units against the enemy peasants to protect a bunch of your own?
While that does sounds like something Arthur would do, itâs not a good tactic for a fight.
Will the Frankish army include peasants? That would make things easier, I expected all of them to be professional soldiers.
Professional soldiers in a game set in the Middle Ages?
I think weâre assuming that thereâs a broader gap between âordinary warriorâ and âordinary man at warâ than actually exists. if we assume even a majority of the Frankish army counts as âsoldiersâ as in full time military service.
Allowing for authorial license, but this sounds like something not worth risking all the elite for if its mostly a raid, and thatâs the only sense I can see the average Frank being significantly better equipped or trained than the levies at Camelot.
In part 2 before the kidnapping, would it be possible for a Guen (who canât stand Athur) to be able to at least share a moment of mutual hatred with Meliganut?
Hey, so I am on mobile and canât use the search function, and my friends keep wanting me to ask. Is it possible to enter a polyamorous relationship with Arthur, Lancelot, and Morgana?
@NJG If there were such things as t-shirts in the Guenverse, I would love to implement your suggestion.
Sadly, as @Nasdaxow says, t-shirts are so thoroughly non-medieval that they donât exist even in fantasy-Britain. As for Frankish POWs, hm, I havenât gotten that far. Iâll have to wait and see how things play out. If the issue comes up, an option to be ruthless certainly makes sense.
@WulfyK Fair point; maybe not the best analogy. I just meant that peasants are best used for mobbing adversaries, since their strength is numbers rather than training. Theyâre needed for battles, though, because there just arenât enough full-time professional soldiers. The Frankish army does also include peasants (along with professional soldiers), so peasants vs. peasants is perhaps the most humane approach, if not always the best from a tactical perspective. @Elfwine We had a long discussion a long while back about the composition of the army; since this is fantasy and both kingdoms are more prosperous than their historical counterparts, they do have more professional soldiers than one might find in the real Middle Ages, but not enough to fill out an entire army. The peasants fight, partly for historical flavor, and partly to reinforce the idea of everyone in the kingdom being involved in its defense â the mixed-class army fits the theme of problematizing Arthurâs egalitarian ideals.
@skulls Thatâs a good idea. Iâll see what I can do.

. Oh. What about Merlinâs âday visionsâ? Do t-shirts exist there? Some of his day visions are the future, after all.
Also, can the MCâs hidden personality stats influence the MCâs available choices?
Why does the MCâs final choice in the first half of Book 2 seem like the end of the game?
You know, it doesnât matter how much better the frankish forces are if they canât get to Camelot.
Pity I donât think Guen and Morgana can team up to pull a Spanish Armada on those ships with a well timed storm.
Well, Iâm all in favor of bending the historical ânot really -any-â to have the hard core well and truly count, if the author desires, but it would have been very disconcerting for Britain and Frankmarch to maintain armies entirely based on âfull time professionalsâ.
So I made a stronger comment than I would have otherwise.
@inquisitor13 @jeantown pffft, the title of this thread should honestly just be changed to âyes you can get ot3â due to the amount of questions about it. I predict insane traffic the day the books update to the point that you can get it.
I know Arthurian OT3 is one of the most desired adaptional changes everytime something new comes out, but the amount of interest in it just proves how much, lol.
Hi! Iâve just finished playing the first half of Book II and wooooooooooow. Thatâs all I can say. I was absolutely hooked from beginning to end. Cannot wait for new material!
I have a question though. The rescue scene with Lancelot, when he kissed Guen, she returned it and dragged him into the woods to do the dirty⌠however, he mentioned something about mind control and he didnât want to go through with it. Iâve read that Guen can actually have sex with him, so Iâm wondering why my Guen couldnât? Does this mean Lancelot ended the romance?
OH WOW, I had no idea you wanted to include any type of Guen/Arthur/Lance/Morgana. This has really brightened up my day
@NJG There are already instances where hidden stats can affect your options. A manipulative/deceitful Guen can try to turn Grimald and Meligaunt against each other, for instance. There will likely be more.
@Marumochi Lance didnât end the romance, but he will refuse to sleep with a Guen unless his Trust stat with her is high.
@attolia While it might be possible to romance all of them at the same time individually, I donât think you can do a âOT4â. Arthur and Morgana arenât willing to do that (again). Any other combination of characters will likely be possible, though.
@jeantown Sorry for this late reply, being offline sucks badly. But I was wondering if My Guen could use Hippie fiasco to raise her own knights. I mean sell a new branch of Chevaliers to hippie. The heralds of the Queen defenders of Camelot. A way to rise new people from low nobility or rich peasants a group great supporter of the Poison queen . Of course their rise would be payd by French and any rebel baron I could accuse of not sending their troups to protect the kingdom. I could even imagine my Guen naming the order The naughty shepherds with a carrot over lys flowers ⌠Oh, poor frenchs
@NJG I suppose itâs possible that t-shirts might appear in Merlinâs day visions, along with flying squid and invisible narwhals. Yes, the hidden personality stats can influence available choices, and I hope to do more of that in the future (though itâs turning out to be more difficult than I imagined). As for the feeling of closure at the end of the first half of 2, I guess because some of the most immediate plot issues have been resolved (Guen is now free from captivity), and new threads are about to start? Also maybe because the first half of 2 is longer than all of 1, so your play time on whatâs available might be evenly divided.
@stsword A pity indeed! Maybe someday?
I look forward to that very much. Right now, when Iâm in the throes of calculating casualty numbers, I feel like Iâm never going to get to the point of writing another romance/relationship scene again.
@attolia It wonât be an ot4 per se, because Arthur and Morgana wonât want that, but it will probably be possible for Guen to have a poly relationship with Lancelot and Morgana while maintaining her marriage to Arthur⌠probably?
@Marumochi So glad you enjoyed it!
It is possible to have sex with Lancelot, but he can say no for several different reasons. One is (as @OtherGrimm says) if his trust level isnât high enough. Also, if Guen shows any doubts or hesitation, he probably wonât want to.
@poison_mara I do already have plans for Guen to form her own Queenâs Guard of hand-picked knights, eventualy.
