Guenevere (WIP)

@jeantown Weeeell, if the breaking point is extremely compelling, and she has the power to get away with it… my Guen might be down. :kissing_heart:

I feel conflicted…

I know Arthur is supposed to be a heroic legend symbolizing hope, goodness and light but… he seems so naive and his ideals are kind of… impractical, as the world can’t function without a solid hierarchy of social ranks, there’s just no way there can be a society where everyone is equal - it just sounds like an invitation for chaos - whereas Mordred on the other hand… he’s supposed to be the villain in the legends but his ideals of a world based off a clear system of ranks and hierarchy make more sense and provide a pillar of social stability - it sounds more pragmatic - he almost sounds like he’d make a better king than Arthur - and I just wish that Arthur would… grow up.

The chooice which branch i want to go in book 2 is hard enough for me, so the one who support first will be extremely hard  But i’ll see how i feel when i reach it.
I know that Morgana is more than capable of taking care of herself in Frankmarch, but how can i just leave a friend in a foreign country? On the other hand my beloved husband is walking straight into a trap and i’m needed there to help him! Oh the choices…

@Harian That’s why balance is important. Total freedom without authorities can’t exist (although i don’t think that that is exact Arthur’s goal) the same as total control in society without freedom. I’ts always need to be balance, something inbetween. And it depends on people what more of either side they want.

whens the best time to tell arthur that you’re boneing his best friend? i just can’t imagine him taking it well in any circumstance, unless he was drugged up on opium or something  i really don’t want to hurt him but i feel like its inevitable, because of the aforementioned boneing of his bff, y’know?

“In the last 24 hours, I slept with both your half-sister and your best friend.” Yeah, that’ll go over well. Next time, Arthur will make sure to chase the right Guen, and not so he can protect her from half-giants.

Oh my god, the people on this forum scare me! You’re so cruel! :scream: (I’m kidding.)

Oh wow. That would be cruel!

Now I’m extremely excited for these scenes. I want a hardened Arthur darn it!

@jeantown I know Mordred can pretend to care about Guen to manipulate her. So will there be any way to tell if Mordred has actually fallen in love with Guen?

Sorry for just a really brief check-in tonight; I had a crazy day and I have to do 10000000 things before bed and I’m exhausted…

@SwanMaiden heeee, I can’t wait to see if she manages to hold out or not. Either way will be interesting.

@Harian Well, Arthurian legend is traditionally about the failure of Arthur’s ideals, so… hope, goodness, and light, sure; but it rarely ends well. If your Guen thinks Mordred’s ideas make more sense, then she won’t be the only one. But Arthur also can grow up in this version (sort of), and maybe Guen will make the difference in the success of his vision if she so chooses.

 Maybe never, but you should get the chance to tell him at a few different times (as the series progresses) and see if the timing makes any difference.

@buggygirl11 and @SaucyMinx I would imagine so, though I have no idea what that would be… I imagine it will come to me as I get into the later parts and start actually writing Mordred.

@jeantown Right, will there be anyway to know that Mordred actually cares about Guen & isn’t still playing her?

Well, to paraphrase a quote from Firefly “Talk with a man every day, you will not know him. Dangle him off a volcano, then you will meet the man.”

Most relationship counselors probably don’t recommend torture to resolve intimacy problems though.

@jeantown as @stsword gave example can i dangel Mordred off a volcano? Later on… to see If he loves my MC

and of course throw Lance and Arthur togheter into one while i eat popcorn with Mordred and Morgana :+1::grin:

It would be the best romantic story ever.:blush::grinning::kissing_smiling_eyes:

I swear, the level of vindictiveness in these forums is hilarious (if somewhat unsettling). While I won’t lie and say that Arthur has never needed to be slapped upside the head, I feel that dangling him off a volcano is a tad…excessive.

@CaesarCzech thank you ^^ i always try ; -)

@Durxa (gives a tight hug from the back and whispers in ear “I was only joking…little Boy/Girl/non gender” and then lets go and slowly creeps back to the shadows, after a while the whispers of YOLO can be heard)

Ps: Mordred would be the one dangeling while Arthur would be the one thrown in

How, exactly, would Mordred prove that he really loves Guen as opposed to acting like he does?

In-story, I mean. He’s not going to sing This Day Aria or something.

It would be too much to ask that the answer is that he never will, but I can’t help but hope that Guens who fall in love with him find out the hard way (because he’s not stupid) that Mordred doesn’t share (most of) Arthur’s virtues anymore than he shares Arthur’s failings. Doesn’t mean he kicks puppies for the lulz, but doesn’t mean he’s a nice and reasonable guy either.

Thanks, now I’m picturing some evil knight in black armor singing a catchy musical number.

It doesn’t help that it’s a perfectly fitting song.

@Elfwine well… Jean said some time ago If I Were to recall in The right way that it is possible for Mordred to fall in love with Guen but that it will be extremly hard for US the players to win his heart.

And as far as having Arthur=virtues goes, my Guen wont compear Mordred to his father (If I get such a option) because she dislikes Arthur to 99%
