It’s a great read but some of the dialogue feels not genuine
Elaborate? You could help out the author if you say why you think it doesn’t feel genuine and give examples
I’m inclined to believe that he can shrug off punching him iffen your MC agrees to help him. I’m assuming busting his nose just for the sake of doing so while telling him no will probably drop your relationship stat with him considerably enough to make a romance with him… more than a li’l difficult to obtain.
@moonwalkerdragon Honestly, considering it looks like Crow never told Troy about the fate of the original Blackbird (aka your MC), I don’t think there’s much reason to be suspicious of him. That’s my opinion at least. I think it’s possible for him to start piecing together that there’s something about you that’s very… odd/off-putting and’ll start digging to find out the truth, but I don’t think he knows anything just yet.
If you don’t want him to find out the truth, then yeah, I suppose you should be wary of him.
Well, I think he comes across as suspicious because he’s suspicious of our MC hahaha.
He did look at Morgan a little different than at the others but that could be because of something else
I do think that Morgan is a little confused with Specter because he isn’t sure if he’s just being nice… or being extra nice and I love it
I wonder if you still will think that Troy never heard from the original Blackbird when you try to tell him your real name instead of an alias when meeting him in the park.
However it could be possible that it wasn’t Crow that told him about them but either Glamour (maybe Nero) or Lucian.
That’s an option?
I swear I only saw fake names to choose from. Now I need to replay real quick. I’ll get back to you on this.
You have to type the name manually, but yes it is possible.
Just like Sammy said, Troy will behave slightly differently if you give him one of the MC’s names, be it the sur- or firstname. He will react to them
Time to replay the game again! I thought I noticed a difference but never payed too much attention.
Huh. Well, look at that.
@Sammysam Having played through that, I’m still inclined to believe that Troy doesn’t know the full details. Honestly, I feel as though Crow probably kept some… mementos of the original Blackbird around. Maybe some printed news articles or a photograph of the two of them in costume maybe with their names written on the back like an old polaroid. Crow seems the type to be sentimental. I feel it in my gut. There’s still something of/involving our MC at Crow’s estate. I know it.
I don’t remember who it was that said it in the thread earlier, but I do agree that Crow doesn’t seem to have dealt with their grief even after all these years. It still eats away at them, in my opinion, and… I think it’s very possible that they’ve even tried denying the fact that the MC died. It’s possible that’s the very reason there’s a second Blackbird - to fuel the story that, maybe, the original Blackbird ran away or felt disillusioned with the job. Coupled with the grief Crow suffers from, I don’t think Troy felt any reason to doubt Crow. Until now, that is.
I…I feel like I may have missed something huge xD I think it may just be me but…I totally remember at least one amazing character dying O__O
then again it could be how you look at it…
I never even realized this.
And you surprise me once again.
I also don’t think that Troy knows everything but I could imagine that he got at least told about MC’s death (even without the details) as a way to explain Crows griefing to him, that’s why I think it was probably Lucian (maybe Glamour, depending if she ever got to know MC’s real name) who told him about it and not Crow. (Or Troy forced Crow to talk about it, and that is the reason he is now so patient when trying to deal with grumpy Crow?)
Also even when nobody talks about them anymore, there have to be some trails of the first Blackbird, maybe some headline in the newspaper and other reports of them and Crow working together, so I doubt that Troy could be oblivious for that long about him being the second one to wear the Blackbird costume.
I loved how you added the grumpy Crow part afterwards.
It was the most fitting description.
Yep @Wraith lies there is no way to avoid a specific char dieing you always die once thus there will always be at least 1 important character death
I don’t think the media ever found out about the original Blackbird’s fate. It certainly doesn’t sound like it if this line in-game says anything about it: [News about Crow and the new Blackbird, not that the journalists knew that it was not the old one, are on the title page of various newspapers, telling stories about their latest accomplishments.]
Honestly, I’m pretty sure all the heroes/vigilantes that know what really happened to the original Blackbird decided to bury the truth. If the media found out that Crow got a 15 year old child killed by playing hero… Well. No good would come out of it. There’s no point in dredging up old secrets so I feel that most of them would remain very tight-lipped about it.
That’s not what I meant, but Troy has to aware that even before he worked with Crow that there was a Blackbird. Because the media most likely did report about Crow’s and Blackbird’s daring exploits. I can’t imagine he never asked about them.
xD i wouldn’t say she lied about it xD more like… she meant other characters not dying xD
Oh, well yeah, that much is a known truth. I’d said that there had to be something in Crow’s manor about the old Blackbird whether it be an old news article or photograph.
It’s impossible for Troy not to have known that there was a Blackbird before him. I’m just adamant that no one’s told him the truth about why the original Blackbird ‘vanished’.
