Eh, Talon doesn’t get out of bed unless he’s getting paid to do something. If someone contracts him to take out Blackbird, Crow, or Vine then he’ll gladly accept and carry out the hit. But I don’t see him throwing a hissy fit and going psycho rampage on every hero in town even if he could. As one of the wisest mercenaries once said, never do anything you’re good at for free.
Allowing players to kill anyone they feel like is fine for games that are one-offs, but it makes writing sequels much more painful for the author since there are large numbers of potential permutations on who is alive and who is dead at the end of the first game.

Hello…I’m a new reader and i just want to say that i really love this WIP…and i love Ace!!
I like that i can decide to kill the other character or not…and i can choose my power.
Btw,will you add more heartwarming and heartbreaking scene in the future like in the prologue?(and maybe more Ace scene)

I can already see it…
After an intense fight with Crow,you have severely wounded her.They scurries off to a back alley,in an attempt to escape from your wrath,but to no avail.You have cornered one of the most famous vigilantes in all of Kalathol.Whether they live or die depends solely on you.Realizing this,Crow babbles about how you can’t win even if you do kill her,and that the other vigilantes will stop your reign of terror.You simply roll your eyes,and move in for the kill.However,before you do,Crow asks you to do a simple favor,They ask you to look deep,deep into your heart and attempt to search for the single drop of humanity that might be dwelling inside of you.
So you do.You look deep into your heart and all you see is…Being all alone on the streets of the Narrows…Crow adopting you and raising you as if you were their very own child…Those days where Lucien tutored you…When Ace used to simply sleep on you when you wouldn’t get out of bed…That fateful day in which a mission went horribly wrong…But worst of all…When Crow simply tossed you aside and hired a new sidekick,giving them the identity that you worked so hard on…
Out of pure rage,you plunge your katana deep into Crow’s stomach and rip it,all of their organs falling out of their body.As this horrific scene is going on,you walk away from the ally with a smile planted onto your face.

Well, I can imagine some kind of chase happening, with a confrontation and some more than verbal fighting between the two, but I doubt that such…actions are welcome on this forum or in those games. At least not, if I plan to publish it one day through CoG. I need to keep it friendly to some degree if I am not mistaken, and while I have no problem with gore, torture, or other things like that, I doubt that the others see it the same.
So, nothing like that will happen.

But maybe it’s because I don’t see Crow as someone who that openly trusts humanity. They are a hero, so I can’t see them as misanthrops. They think that there is at least hope enough for people to be worth saving, but considering how much they have seen I guess a good part of them also thinks that many people can use a nice trashing to show them how wrong the eay they have taken is, especially when they show no want to redeem themself as some of the MCs.
But yeah, you really seem like a cheery personality…

Wow, I’m new to the forums and I have to say that it’s really interesting to read about your MC’s. I love the story and I have a weakness for superhero one’s but I can’t make my character dislike others unless they want mine dead or something, he always tries to stay friendly and help others. I’ve seen many people going the villain route and I love to read about characters so different, partly because I’m unable to make a character like that.
I like that you can choose many kinds of character.
I also have a question, sorry if it has already been answered but I couldn’t find the answer. Are certain romances locked depending on which path you take? It would make sense to not be able to romance blackbird as a villain but I still want to be sure.

To your question: There will be restrictions, probably. For example, if you are playing a Hero and follow the Hero road (alignments can change over the time), some of the Outlaws might be locked (not sure yet), but Wraith surely will be. Same for the Villain road: If you stay on that path, I imagine that BB will be locked.

Personally, my MC will probably have a relationship with Crow similar to Ahsoka and Darth Vader (except the role are reversed), I can already imagine their battle mostly filled with Crow’s attempt to reach out to me, my MC realize it but has gone too far to the Dark Side to actually turn back, he feel it and actually try his best to turn back but fail miserably because his hatred is stronger than his love for his foster mother.
It’ll be like :
Crow : Stop this Blackbird, rampage is not the Hero’s way!
Void : You’re speaking to the wrong person Crow, I am not the one you call Blackbird, not anymore…
Crow : I know you’re in there Blackbird, please, just listen to reason!
Void : There is no longer this person you call Blackbird, Crow. He was weak, so I destroyed him.
[Continues battle while Blackbird(Troy) and Nero tries to disarm all of the bombs in the area.]
Crow : Don’t make me hurt you Blackbird…
Void : I already told you, there is no longer this person called Blackbird.
[Nero tries to do a sneak attack but instead got strangled by a shadow tendril.]
Nero : Guh, ah ,ugh…You don’t need to do this Blackbird! We can always go back to being partner, just like old times!
Void : [Drags Nero closer and stare him in the eyes.] Partners don’t leave each other to death Nero, especially not cause said death just because they can’t think tactically and rationally. [Throws Nero to the side like a rag doll.]
[Glamour catches Nero to save him while cursing Void for his atrocities, meanwhile, Crow and Void continues to fight each other.]
Crow : Do you really think you can defeat me Blackbird? I taught you all of your moves!
Void : Correction, you taught me all of your moves, yet I haven’t shown you all of my techniques.
[Glamour goes in for a surprise attack but is rewarded by stabs from shadow tendrils while Void laughs maniacally.]
Crow : Glamour, no! Blackbird stop it! This isn’t the real you, I know it!
Void : Oh? How can you be so sure Crow?
Crow : I raised you, remember?! You’re my beloved son!
Void : [Stifle a whimper.] Shut up…
[Sound of bombs exploding in the distance, followed by Nero’s and Blackbird’s swearing and cursing while attempting to find an escape route.]
Void : Last time I checked, a mother don’t just leave their son to die…[On the verge of tearing up.]
Crow : But I didn’t mean to-
Void : Shut up…shut up…SHUT UP! You didn’t even try to save me! You left me for dead! [Started to tear up.]
Crow : But when I found out about you, you were already dead…[Also began to tear up.]
Void : [Whimper and cry.] The least you could do was to cremate me, not letting my body to be used in a demented experiment! You never loved me at all!
Crow : I…I’m-
Blackbird : Crow, hurry up, we have to go NOW! The building is collapsing on us!
Crow : But-
Void : Well? What are you waiting for? You can’t help others if you’re dead you know?
Crow : [Looks at Void.] No.
Blackbird : What are you talking about Crow!? If you stay here any longer you’ll die! We have to escape!
Crow : No, I have something I must do.
Blackbird : If you’re staying then I’m staying to-
[Crow put Blackbird to sleep and told Nero and Glamour to go first and take Blackbird with them.]
Void : What with the sudden change in attitude, Crow? Why didn’t you let him help you? Can’t bear the thought of having to lose an apprentice? Or is your relationship with him more than just master and appren-
Crow : No! It’s not like that! I won’t abandon you Blackbird, even though you committed various acts of atrocities, even though you went ahead and used a gun after I specifically told you not to, to me you are still redeemable…you are my son Hannibal…I won’t abandon you…not anymore…
[Void stands there frozen, conflict reflected in his eyes.]
Void : Then you will die…
[The battle continues, but Crow’s fate depend entirely on the author.]

Annomonous applause breaks the dramatic silence that was amazing! Hey if you don’t mind, can I base the scene I’m stuck on around that because it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Oh and the story I’m doing is not on choice of games just to let you know.
