From Ashes We Rise [FAWR / WIP] Upd. 30. Oct

What if… the MC’s death wasn’t an accident at all! :scream:

You don’t say :expressionless: Isn’t the memory of hearing Wraith laugh just before the MC dies a dead giveaway? Oh, alright. I’m not 100% sure that it’s Wraith. Only about 90%…

Well I hope there will be an option to look up our old buddy/fellow sidekick.

Maybe in the hero path?

I was told that a certain laugh on Skype is indeed pure evil.

If so im killing that gurl, not that i wouldent at the start :smiling_imp:

:scream: Why would you do that?! If you kill @Wraith, then who would write the story!?

No one kills anyone here, not even me and that’s that OK? And trust me you do not want to get on my bad side since I have been to go a little too demonic… :smiling_imp: :imp: :japanese_ogre:

Correction:
@Wraith has the right to kill anyone here. And I believe she’s more evil than most of us here.

Anyway, let’s not go too much off-topic now, shall we?

Eh, asking an ontopic question: Whose MC works to a grand reveal of their identity? And which would prefer to reveal it only if forced to by the circumstances? Some who don’t care either way and just want to wreck havoc / go their own way?

My MC would just want to continue to do as she was… what is established now has no relationship to what was in the past.

interesting.

A ‘Grand Reveal’ as in that no-one’s got a clue about the MC’s identity beforehand? Not mine, at least. She isn’t exactly subtle about sprinkling around clues. She would like it if Crow and/or the new Blackbird would figure it out on their own though. In my head cannon it would happen after she collapsed after saving either Crow, Blackbird or both, not because she got injured or anything, but because her body is giving up on her as a result of it not having been restored completely. (Cue dramatic reveal) Dramatic reveals always work best if the one doing them is close to death

Indeed. Your MC certainly has a flair for staginess…

But Abyss also isn’t that subtle either. For one she would like Crow to know who they are, but she is also somewhat scared for their reaction…Also she would feel more secure in her still being part of the family would Crow recognize her without her having to explicitly write it out. (Recognize me!)

She is somewhat in limbo, waiting for someone to figure it out but not quite ready to deal with the what would come after…so, she just doesn’t think much about it…

I think for villain MCs, especially the more flashy ones, certainly could enjoy a big reveal at the end of their masterplan…Of course only if they are rather fixated on Crow/Blackbird. If you just want to become the sole ruler of the criminal world you may don’t care that much…

I think my MC wants Crow to find out, but she’s afraid to know how Crow would react (would he accept her or consider her a monster) and considering noble background this fear is worsened by her abandonment issues. So it’s mostly subconscious wish (for now) expressed through not bothering hiding clues.

My MC… as some of you maybe read the short letter I’ve written, wants Crow to know who he is, but only toward the end, for dramatic effect :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is a part of his profile:
Holds a deep hatred for Crow and Troy, since his death.

He appears calm and collected on the outside, but his mind hides all the darkness living inside him. He has the mind of an intelligent killer, this part of him took a greater place in him when he died, due to the fact that him mind wasn’t entirely “brought back”.

What appears to be a slight insanity mutated into a desire to bring pain on all those he feels have wronged him, and he will do anything to make them pay. When in one of his dark moods, he usually trains harder than usual, and sometimes it makes him do foolish things that he would have carefully planned out before, such as rushing into danger.

So, he is obviously a villain, and would rather keep his identity secret, until he chooses to reveal it.

So you’re the redhood + joker?

Never read a single Batman comics yet, so, not inspired by them

I guess I’ve been around @Nathan_Faxon too much

I just wanted to have a MC who would express the feeling of betrayal and anger I’ve felt when I played the WIP for the first time. (minus the mad part :joy: )

I would like to object! I quite like to be alive, thank you very much! x)

Anyway, it’s interesting to see the different points of views of all of your characters and what their goals are as well as how they would handle the big/not-so-big reveal.

Wow, my MC seems to be the most easy going one here…

Well, as easy going for someone who was just revived from a five-year sleep and is now fighting/committing crime…
