From Ashes We Rise [FAWR / WIP] Upd. 30. Oct

Pro: a lot of the heroes use Bird names!
Con: Phoenix.

In regards with antihero and traditional hero, if you look at it from the perspective of a hero then you can understand why they treat them as other criminals. Somebody commits murder, they are labelled as a criminal, somebody murders a criminal, it’s the same outcome because it does not matter who they kill and whether they deserve it, it’s the same crime at the end of the day.

Not saying I’m on the traditional hero’s side (I root more for the antiheroes.) I’m just stating that you should see it from their side too.

Phoenix is a con?

Now that I think about it, it is sort of ridiculous how many Bird-themed heroes we’ve got around. Raven, Phoenix, Nightingale, Blackbird, Crow…the list just keeps on growing!

Edit: Not to mention my female character Oriole.

Now I’m imagining my character (Raven) calling his warehouse lair “the Nest”.

Not as awesome (sarcasm) as “The Burrow” !

She’s a pro to me, a con to anybody who doesn’t like fire and destruction

I’m going to disagree with you, those people they choose their way.
They see others criminals with nice bikes and gorgeous girls, they know they will never be able to buy or get the respect in their neighborhood if they only work, so they start stealing and killing others. But the majority of the people who lives in thei neighborhood doesnt go to crime, those who go choose the easy way and should be excluded from the rest of the society.

Can they change? Maybe they can, but it need a rigorous penal regime (for them to fear to come back) and opportunity after they are released. Maybe the country you live can give the, that, mine doesnt.
I watched a TV show that was investigating underade assassins (in my country, if a criminal commits a crime before they turn 18, they dont go to jail) after they reached 18, do you know what they found? The majority was dead, the others were in jail and only one recovered.

I like you too  Tacos sounds fine, though I never tasted any

Back on topic, (Shivers fearfully under @Cecilia_Rosewood ‘s glare), true, there are many birds’ name.

I wonder why ?

But then, there aren’t many bats’ names possible (as it is based on Batman).

Fire and destruction can be fun, depending on what’s being burnt to the ground.

Though freezing things can be just as fun. Just ask Blizzard.

Something tells me Blizzard and Phoenix wouldn’t get along, though…

Because @Wraith is an ornithology nerd and you all are emulating names matching your old alias, because none of us ever heard of something like “subtlety”.

…Crow is still deep in grief, that’s the only reason they still didn’t get who MC is…no wonder Troy is the one left to develop something like suspicios for MC. Crow just vehemently pushes every thought about MC back in the backmost part of their mind.

Well, I thought about “Darth Vader” but…turns out it was already taken.

Hey! I doubt Crow would have an easy time with Blizzard true identity!

Oriole, maybe.

Raven on the other hand is great at keeping secrets.

Wow. I think I made too many characters.

It’s not possible to create too many characters. That’s just…not possible.

Tell that to @WIre_Ryse.

Not necessarily, I have three characters for this game too.

Phoenix doesn’t hide her identity. She has nothing to hide whatsoever. In fact, she’s adopted a new identity and treats her previous one as a paternal figure. (Did I mention Phoenix is medically insane?)

Zone keeps everything buried deep down and that includes her identity.

Streamline has abandoned her old life and therefore, her identity. She lives by a new one and does her best to erase the old one.

See what I mean. He’s obsessed with making more characters to eventually kill off Game of Thrones style.

Quick question, Nath. What weapon did you pick for Phoenix? I’m curious.

Hey there! I really love the plot behind this game and the characters that you’ve written! I also adore the fact that you’re not railroading the player into being a hero or a villain, you’re giving them the option to walk either path or (if they should so please) chose a more grey-area instead. I am curious about one thing, however: (Which may have been asked… this thread is so long it’s almost intimidating ahaha)

Anyway, should the player later chose to take the villain path, and play it to its utmost villainous potential, is there the option to join Wraith in her… conquest? (Considering we don’t actually know her goal yet I’m not quite sure if ‘conquest’ is the appropriate word. Plan?)

I’m curious if they could since it seems like it’d be kinda cool to have a villain team-up option to go against your former mentor and maybe take revenge against Troy who essentially took your place.

But at the same time it’d also be pretty amazing to have a villain vs. villain story where neither person is a morally “good” person.

Then again we don’t even know much about Wraith’s morals yet or her reasoning so I guess this question will come into play more later on? Not sure. Either way, great game and I look forward to see how it evolves and wish you luck with it!

Well… Wraith is definitely attempting to conquer death itself, so there is definitely some conquesting going on. Granted, like you, I have no idea what Wraith’s plan is beyond that. Could be disappearing into the shadows and immortality, or go undying Genghis Khan and conquering every possible piece of the world, or everything in between. Pretty sure it’ll be evil though.

What if after she achieves immortality, she just decides to lounge about on a private island for most of her everlasting life?

I might be a little late but is Wraith’s immortality something new or has just been there all along?
