From Ashes We Rise [FAWR / WIP] Upd. 30. Oct

Ehem… Sorry for asking that, but for what is the thanks? XD
Shall this chaotic thread burn down now?

Hey, at least it didn’t get locked.
Wipes imaginary sweat off her brow.

Aaanyway, back to writing.

Clear enough for you, yet?

Is it just me, who imagines Kalathol (I don’t remember the spelling ) with high circular walls surrounding it?

@Wraith ? What was your inspiration for the city?

Uhhh, Gotham City?

I feel like there would be more gargoyles.

Not Gotham, as @UmbraLamia stated above. ^^
There is no real city I looked at for creating Kalathol (Yes, you did it right!). I just visited DeviantArt and looked at various cities, and somehow it evolved into the city FAWR is playing in. And no, there are not really walls around the city XD

Is It bad that I want to use corrosive powers to bring down the buildings on people now?

No, that’s just spoken like a true villain.

If I use blood powers I would imagine growing veins over the city.

Alucard approves.

(look at 1:00)

(didn’t found the scene where he actually does just that, so I have only fragments of it to show.)

I can’t wait till this game is fully released, being a villain capturing Troy and giving Crow the ultimatum Os saving Troy and let half half/all the city fall to complete anarchy Or let Troy suffer and save the city

Alright guys, I am still alive. It has been awfully quiet in here, and I apologize for that ^^
School keeps me busy at the moment as my holidays are over, though I am still writing.

Right now, I am creating a flowchart to map out what I already have in the game and how it is supposed to go. Had done it so far with only my mind to memorize everything, though just realized that it’s better to have something like flowchart at hand. Soo… outlining is what I am doing right now to organize everything a bit better and to have a better way to keep track of what I have and so on and so forth.

The Villain path is going forward, though I haven’t started on the Hero path yet. Writers block is not doing me any favors at the moment, as well. I am not sure when the next update is going to come out, as the final exams start literally in three weeks, so please bear with me ^^°

Soo… that’s it for a short notice for you guys.

@Wraith is having trouble with the Hero Path because it’s not in her nature to be a hero.

yay for Wraith!

Keep up the good work. I would just like to make one suggestion regarding the Villian path, it needs to be/feel different from the Anti-Hero and Hero paths, but give the same opportunities for the character to gain information. The hookup with Crow and the new Blackbird prior to raiding the cathedral is going to be the major dramatic problem though, just why would they contact a known villain for help…?

The Villain route will differ from the other two, of course. Would be weird if the Heroes ask the Villain for help. So, no, Troy won’t ask for your help regarding the cathedral, through all ways lead one way or another to rom- to the cathedral.
Also, the NPC’s are not behaving the same to our MC if they choose to be a Villain.

Good, with this kind of story the easiest trap to fall into is to make the different paths too similar to reward replaying.

That’s good, I expected the villain route to be the most different one from all those that exist for obvious reasons.

Hero and anti-hero are pretty similar after all, it’s just the way they go about it is different. A villain? Completely different it is the kind of enemy the other two fight. I’d imagine us becoming a villain will make Crow feel even worse as it is hard to imagine them not feeling responsible for it.

Wraith is working on the villain path right now!

@Harley_Robin_Evans

Be wary. Your question is technically asking about updates
