Great update, I’m really excited to see more! I was firmly in the Camille romance camp… until Faith showed up, turns out I’m a sucker for pink haired women… I’m so conflicted now, but I can’t wait to see where everything is headed (and how our new friends meet/interact with our other new friends)!

i noticed this update has the option of picking sexuality, do characters ever comment on their sexuality? i see a few instances for gender-specific dialogue so will that be there for romances as well?

Just when I was thinking about the next update, you post it. Lol but regardless the new characters are pretty interesting so far, especially Yoon. I dunno what is up with that guy yet.
@hachimachi it’s a single book! and yes, I do plan on going through all the beats of a relationship. I don’t want the game to end when you just get together with your RO, that would be sad lol.
also SOOOOO GLAD YOU BROUGHT THAT UP I’m a strong believer in having that be mentioned, having there be actual representation rather than characters being “playersexual”. In this world though, I imagine that most people are pansexual, not really having much of a gender preference. Characters do comment on the gender of your character as you engage in a romance with them. The presents they give you are different, some scenes are gender-specific. Faith is also a little more fond of women than men, and her dialogue reflects that. Sid talks about his ex-boyfriend. I really want to start writing something modern so i can bring up sexuality more, but in this world I wanted it to be very well accepted that you like whoever you like.

@Morphine :’) I’m not sure if the love triangle stuff will make it into the demo version of the game, but if I ever release this thing, it’ll be in the final version. I’m tinkering with it a lot! I want to capture the unique dynamic between characters. Sid and Mars will “fight” for love differently than Yoon and Mars would, for example.

Sid’s line of “everyone has secrets” is my feeble attempt at hinting at the super secret backstories of everyone. The “appearances are not what they seem” line is also more hinting. Every character has their own unique story…so, who knows what’s up with yoon? maybe it’s betrayal. maybe it’s murder. maybe he’s got a secret extra eyeball on his stomach. who knows…who knows…

thanks for answering all my questions! I’m glad it’s brought up, i feel like fantasy stories really just gloss over that a lot of the time so i wanted to ask what you were doing with it. but seeing that youre a fan of dragon age too i trust you to do good.

I really enjoyed reading this! The character interactions are really nice and feels so much genuine. I particularly liked Mars, Camille and Atlas(the spirit) they’re just soo cutely written

Atlas turns a soft pink. He purrs under Adelaide and Sid’s touch.
“I’ll simply pretend you didn’t say that, David.” Camille stops rubbing her temples in favor of holding the bridge of her nose instead.
“I don’t know what you mean,” you blink, “pretend I didn’t say what?”
“Gods,” the raven-haired sorceress sighs, “forget I said anything.”

maybe i misunderstood something, but yoon kidnappes us while we are taking a bath (so i assume we are naked), but when we talk to our uncle we already have our clothes on, this is kinda strange i think
and are we supposed to start with 60% greed?

That scene was amazing! although my character, maybe because I play a female, actually ask: who doesn’t enjoy fingers in them? Which killed me.
Also I caught a few sentences where it feels as if words were missing. I only remember the one where Sid comments in Mars not having pockets but the sentence makes it seem like he was going to say armor or something. Not sure it could just be me.

To be serious tho thanks for spotting that! I do seem to forget clothes exist. Yoon is supposed to kidnap you /before/ you take a bath, which is the true tragedy. I’ll edit that soon!

@Zsero there probably are some missing words, I’ll try to see if I spot any when I sit down to edit chapter 2. My brain skips over words a lot :’)
@cookiemonsta they do fight over you to some degree. Though not as dramatic as fighting over your hand in marriage in a sword fight to the death, but more like two people who happen to like the same person.
You is definitely missing from the sentence. But “can fey-fox” is actually an error of me not pluralizing fey-foxes 
When the April 3rd edit comes out, I’ll sit down and revise what’s currently out for chapter 2 (that’ll teach me to write on my phone at 3am). The next update SHOULD take you to about half-way through chapter 2, but even if not I’ll just say that it does and go back to edit :’)
On another note out of the male ROs I seems there is (1) Sid lover LOL should I work on making Sid more attractive? His romance is a lot of fun I swear

Honestly, I love all the male ros and i’m certainly going to play each of their routes a ridiculous amount of times. Sid seems super fun and boy do i love a man with a boat. It’s hard choosing just one of them.

Yay!!! Your back!!! I love the update, meeting our uncle again was cool. I can only imagine the difficulties that my MC will have about choosing between our kind or the awesome squad. Yoon was interesting, I don’t know I’ll have to see more of him. But no one can replace Mars!!! I really hope the Dad isn’t dead and that we could meet him.

I sketched an older Sid because I don’t think I ever discussed that you age over the course of the game? You and the characters grow together. I also wanted to draw him in a full beard lol

I paired every RO up (one male, one female) to have SIMILAR relationship dynamics. I hope this makes sense, because I don’t want to miscommunicate what I mean. The romances and story paths are in no way the same per RO. It’s just that certain ROs are similar in the way they act, so if you want to romance someone shy–there’s a male and a female RO that have that kind of romance. Sid and Adelaide are the shy romance pair, but they do express it differently.
