To be honest I was expecting someone to try to kill us some point but I didn’t expect it this soon. We did kind of deserve it for our mistake in the past that ruined everyone lives and ourself. Is this going to be fake death or we gonna be reborn stronger from it?

Well we can always tolerate betrayer in story becauss we are detached like seeing someone else being betrayed. Irl I doubt i can ever forgive someone who trying to kill me no matter what the reason is. Someone wise said that people die if they are killed. If you dead you wont have the time to forgive anyone
