Thank you @Apocrypha for neatly articulating pretty much all of my thoughts about this game much more effectively than I ever could.

So my week in the tow I moved to has been: Getting up at 8, renovating and painting the house, going to work noonish because I am now one person doing two people’s jobs since one guys have quit and his replacement has yet not bee hired. Oh wait, two and a half people’s jobs since we still don’t have a boss, which means I have to do a lot of what he used to do as well. Then get back around midnight, drink a beer, go to sleep, then get up again and repeat.

Just got back to my old flat last night at two am, this weekend is going to be all paperwork and cleaning out stuff in preparation for the move, but at least I will have internet.

Next week it’s going to be getting up at 5, go to work (still doing 2.5 people’s jobs), get back in the afternoon, renovate the house, clean out the flat the company lent me until I could get a house, drink a beer, fall asleep, repeat.

This has been going on for the last months, and will be going on until out move is finalized (8-9 of june) after which hopefully at least the living arrangements will be calming down because I will finally have one place to live and not three, and the first step of the renovations should be done.

So yeah, writing will commence when vacation happens, because I still very much want to do this thing, but right now real life gives me no chances to write. At all.

I am very, VERY happy for all the kind comments I’ve got, and I just wanted to let you know this game is not abandoned, just postponed until the moving frenzy is done.

So… any news? Is the moving frenzy over? When do your vacations begin?

Moving was finished last friday! I now live in ONE place instead of like three. Boxes are almost unpacked, and the house is livableish. Work is still crazy, but I foresee that will be a constant for the next year hiring and training new peeps take time.

HOWEVER, vacations happen in a week and a half, so planning to get some intense writing done then!

Just played this game for the first time today, made several playthroughs! Totally riveting. I look forward to more! My one regret was that there wasn’t a “multisave” type system. I’m not sure how it was done, but in another COG game I played, you could save each playthrough under its’ own name. I enjoyed doing that because it let me go back to specific points and create different MCs with different names and personalities and storylines, and go back to the one I wanted to play depending on my mood. But other than that, fantastically enjoyable. Thanks and keep it up!

Like in zombie exodus there was multiple playthroughs to save on

Hi I’m new to this forum but I have to say I love this demo and I can’t wait for the game to come out.

I thought of something that would be probably useless to the over all game and take time away from the making of the game but I thought that it would be neat to pick what kind of cloth you wear like in general like shirts jeans and jackets but If you would take to much time the I don’t care if its added just a random thought

Any word on the next update?

I think it may be in bad form to ask.
(which is to say you aren’t supposed to bump a thread to ask when the next update is)
Chances are the author is busy or something.

Yup I encountered that too. It’s here:

At first i was a bit disappointed by the fact that you are ‘‘just’’ a telepath and can’t do much with your own body, but the idea quickly grew on me and i really started to love the game! (and the amor squashed that thought in the end)
I have always loved stories where you are the villain, there is too few of those in my opinion so that’s just another plus!
And the conflicts the character has about it is also very well done!
And the scene at the coffee place with your old friend was really amazing, i really felt what was described, it was very well written, the way you get emotionally affected by the writing.
And in the end i just hungered for more, i think this is a great story and i hope you will finish this great piece!

I picked the grappling hook, but I never get the option ‘I will snare the cannon from above with my grappling hook.’

Did you use the grappling hook to get onto the roof after seeing the sentry? I think that’s the only way to get the option (or at least that is how I got it).

I tried both, but it didn’t work. I’ll try again though.

Yeah, made it work. Must have clicked the wrong option at some point :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you have to avoid getting seen by the spider-woman up there.

Yes, there are many ways to get tossed down from the rafters which will make the grappling hook unusuable. But, this is on me, this is the single most confusing scene for people, so I will definitely rewrite it before going to beta. My goal is not to confuse people after all…

And yes, I have started to work on this again, after having been repeatedly kicked in the kidneys by real life.
