Fallen Hero: Retribution release thread! (Book Two) (Spoilers Inside!)

He does actually. Because he and this is spoiler territory, so only look if you know about it: Steel find pictures of your autopsy I think. So, he had knowledge that you were captured by Unknown and he had to make a difficult choice. Tell Ortega and knowing Ortega will go for the rescue and with so little intel he had on hand, he knew he could lose Ortega if he let them. The other choice was not tell Ortega, and keep looking for Intel…which is what he did. Hence the Guilt, because he knew and his decision pretty much sealed the MC fate…nobody is coming to rescue them.

Which also connect to the choices we have toward the companions of if we want them as Rival or Nemesis, but here is where you can see the Genius of Malin…because you can pick those but you get little info that unravel slowly in book 2. I just Love it! :pinched_fingers:

No one can resist Sidestep’s telepath… I mean villanious charisma!
I have one Sidestep nemesis-ed simply for breaking his leg (come on Danny I just got carried away a little), guess I’ll also try this route in Book 3.

I guess so, judging by his past investigation plot. Oh, the drama!

Now all that makes sense. He will protect MC from the Farm no matter how nasty things they have done…

Remorse. A weapon that could be used against him in the future

Dunno…I kinda don’t need a reason to go psycho

They are kinda hot in their villain outfit and during the fight. But only Argent seems to notice this charm xD

I prefer to stay away from her, tho xd
nope-im-out

I hope in the version where MC wasn’t revealed there will be a fight scene with Ortega or Herald and we will be able to start flirting with them. Ortega would probably flirt back… I wonder how my Flyboy would react, hehe

Hey I’m sure Chen had a good look too!
Come to think of it, the Rangers who fought Sidestep in Retribution are more chill about them being a killer… A coincidence? I don’t think so!

Me at the beginning of Retribution: oh boy I can’t wait for a rematch with Charge!
Still waiting… Some flirting ot drama-infused dialogue would be nice, yes c:

Everything is good! Deep into a writing hole so I am not on social media as much.

Honestly that is one of the biggest changes I have seen when transitioning to being a writer. Before, I had 8 hours a day on my day job, which some days included mainly watching the machine work, and occasionally adjust things. This left me bored, and while I did a lot of planning, I also did a lot of social media during breaks and the like. Now I don’t have moments like that, and social media tends to break my flow or distract me from the things I should be doing.

So the more control of my time, the less time I spend on social media…

EDIT: Also, the first demo will be up on Nov 1!

Glad to hear it! and please, avoid a burn out! Lol

Yeah, it seem like you need a whole damn schedule around those socials medias. While I understand the needs for them…whole time all I can think of is 'But I just wanna write and escape in the world I have control over :sob:

Havent even started and the idea make me queasy, hang in there Sensei! :hugs:

Going into Retribution, what’s the highest possible stats if you choose to make yourself look good in Argent’s mind (friendmanipulate) and not let villain be a known telepath?

Like for her relationship with the retiree, the combination goes kinda like

It’s a pleasure to meet you all (+10 I think)

I joke a little to try to ease the tension (%+10)

I do my best to make her feel at ease (%+10/%+40, depending on where your empathy/ruthless bar leans. Be empathic)

Can’t hurt to make her see me as a friend (%+40 as long as you don’t fuck up)

Wrap myself in tired concern (%+10)

And for the villain relationship, just winning as a raw daring fighter. With speed/strength at least. Bonus points if you burn her clothes.

I’m about to start a scorched earth playthrough. What’s the best career path for it?

solo+antisocial+mass murder&mayhem= fun fun fun.

I say go for revenge, serve it petty and cold.

Massacre for sure at the museum (and unrepentant killer later). I think you should thrash Ortega and petrify Herald as well (and break his knee). Killer version of hero hunter is a good career as well for scorched earth. Avoid the rangers whenever you can, make Argent kill people on the bridge, slug Herald repeatedly and refuse to train him (and don’t tell him the HB story), kill Blaze messily. Tell Mortum the truth about the puppet at a low relation (or make them hate Step while liking the puppet). Or steal the gun from Mortum in Book 2. If you want to lose depth perception while you scorch the earth, get captured and revealed as a villain.
