You don’t necessarily have to. You can just give a push in the right direction and you can save Titan without drawing too much suspicion. You can’t do that and save the pilot on the same playthrough though. The combination of the two things will land your MC in isolation nonetheless.

Well, it’s once again been a while, so I’ll just go ahead and tell about what I’ve done this far. The whole of chapter 6 just passed the 40k words, and I’ve finished three branches since the last time I posted a list. The updated version fo that list can be seen below.

Done for the next update:

  • General plot for chapter 6, solitary imprisonment branch
  • All branches of Jason’s storyline
  • All branches of Finn’s storyline
  • Xena’s branch
  • 3 All branches of doc’s storyline
  • Rewritten some bits of Finn’s storyline in chapter 2.
  • Achievements

To do for the next update:

  • Write the last branch of Jason’s storyline
  • Write ± 4 branches of Ariel’s storyline
  • Write the last branch of doc’s storyline
  • Rewrite large chunks of Finn’s storylines in chapter 2 and 3

Now on to some sort of random questions in the hopes the answers’ll give me inspiration for the last few branches still up to write.

  • Who of you hates/dislikes Jason, and if so, why? (The last branch I’ve got to write is the one in which the MC’s been rather antagonistic or downright rude against him.)
  • What kind of games do you think Ariel’d like to play, aside from chess or cards?

Well mine doesn’t hate or dislike him, but he does observe him like a hawk (in order to figure out this “leadership” thngy) when he’s around and of all the companions he’s the one my mc likely has the most “tense” relationship with, barring perhaps Xena. But I guess it depends on how Jason takes my mc “observing” him as to whether it manifests as “friendly” competition or something more antagonistic.

As for Ariel’s game’s perhaps a few rounds of the old fashioned “sea, or maybe in her case space, battles” game.

Observing alone might make him a bit suspicious, but no more than that. I’ve given the player options to pick some downright mean choices in the past few chapters though, so now I’ll have to figure out how to follow up on those…

Zeeslag. (I thought it was called Battleships in English, so it took me a while to figure out what you meant.) Awesome. Didn’t think about that. Pretty sure it’d be something Ariel’d like to play. (And of course try to wipe the floor with the MC in the process, but that won’t exactly be easy ;P)

Well, I remember having seen you here once before, so I figured I might as well ask for your opinion :wink: It’s the artificially created super-soldier acting as some sort of sleeper agent one. I think I remember Mara really disliking Finn in this one, but I forgot what her opinion on Jason was.

I have one MC who sees Jason as a threat, and doesn’t like his stick-in-the-mud behavior. Not to mention my character interpreted the scene in the bar as a threat, when Jason said he was suspicious. My character is hoping for an order to kill him.

Dunno if that’s close enough to ‘hate’ for your purposes, but that’s what I got.

So my feedback in Space puppet is You are writing and interesting stuff. However… I can’t feel any role-playing option there. My mind goes against the options i found written. It is written with a very concrete perspective in mind. A goodie goodie trying to breaking the dependency. Any other option is punished with text emotions you don’t feel bad? Are you sure you don’t wanna help … and goes on and on. Finn is a stalker Jason is a taxing man Ariel is in middle life crisis and probably in a sexuality dilemma… Xena is like a robotic individual … My idea of Mara is someone that HATES THOSE VERMINS SURROUNDING HER … she want killed them sabotage them.She is starving for wipe them She is recovering autonomy but to the fanatic against those worms . She would be pro people who created them by own will. Like a nazi assassin

There will certainly be an option for her to do just that. (And then manipulate her creator into doing her bidding from the shadows.)

I’ll try to weed those out when I finally get around to rewriting the first few chapters. That might not be until some time next year or even the year after that though :sweat_smile: Progress isn’t going that smoothly, unfortunately.
