Aww thanks guys, I hope you like it

OMG… the new update is here.

@Elena_H
In chapter 10.
“Go to your room, $!{name}” Richard says, not taking his eyes off Charles.
Add a comma after the bolded word.
“I’m thinking of a number between one a ten.”
and
you plunge your weapon into the chest of the writhing figure on the ground until it finally stops recording.

How do you get the silver dagger?
@Bugreporter you are the BEST
I’ll post those fixes tonight.
You need to have spotted it in chapter 1 while trying to make a break for it when back in the parlor with Paul. In chapter 8, on your way back from the furnace, Paul’s going to stop you to ask why you’re in the laundry room. If you’re honest about having gone after the silver, you should have the option to ask him where that dagger is. And if you have an excellent relationship with him, he’ll take pity on you and help you track it down.
Let me know if you have any trouble obtaining it after following these instructions. I might go back and make it easier to get later if people feel it’s too difficult.
Thanks again!
Edit: If you don’t want to go to all this trouble, the Master Manipulator and Vamp in Training quickstart configurations already have the dagger.
@Elena_H <3 <3 <3 OMG CHAPTER 10 HYPE!!!
super excited this is here, been stalking silently for the last little bit cuz my computer broke e.e; BUT i am diving back in as we speak and a more comprehensive (or less depending on things xD) ending will be in the works in an hour or two!
BUT THAT ASIDE CONGRATS ON ANOTHER GREAT CHAPTER HUN! <3
Hey lemme start off with OOOOOOOH MY GOOOOOD THIS IS A FABULOUS GAME!!! LOVED IT AND SOME PART OF ME REALLY LOVED RICHARD (I got the Rare Vintage endeing and it was just mmmmmmmmm

) Question tho, I’m not sure if I’m being a complete dumbass and I was half asleep looking through the other endings but what happened in the Uncle Rich’s Dungeon ending? All I remember was Samantha exposing that we were planning on running away and Richard gloating about how he ate the dad and he’d eat us. SOrry I’m an idiot and my mind can’t function rn. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK DARLING!!
OMG RARE VINTAGE
like tbh elena keeps saying rich and paul are incapable of romantic love and stuff but i was getting MAJOR feels from that ending.
Anyways back into vampiric roomnate hell i go~
Thank you guys!
Uncle Rich’s Dungeon features the MC a few years after becoming Paul’s familiar. The premise is that she has a brief relationship with the first victim she lures back to the basement before Richard kills him, and Samantha is their child. Don’t worry, though, Samantha isn’t in any real danger, and neither is her mother - the vamps have grown fairly attached to them by now.
It toes the line in some places
Glad you guys liked that ending!
PLS TOE THE LINE ALL YOU LIKE IT WAS GREAT
that ending did make me wonder tho… does Lenore have arrythmia and is that gonna be a thing to worry about in the next two chapters or was that more just richard focusing on an inabe detail as richard is prone to do? xD
Only one chapter left, actually (well, assuming you got that ending in chapter 10). Eleven chapters total
And, yeah, it’s just Richard being Richard - nothing to worry about for the MC.
FYI, I’ve uploaded some bug fixes - thanks again @Bugreporter!
And I’ve also made it possible to disable the mini-games via the stats screen. So, for those folks who find the mini-games long or difficult, feel free to turn them off
will disabling the minigames treat it as though we one for situations like the bet with paul tho? Cuz i have a feeling that favur will come in super helpful for certain variations on the last chapter xD
super sorry for all the questions today! >////>
So here’s how it’s supposed to work (and pleeeeease let me know if this isn’t your experience):
- In chapters 7a/7b, you’ll be able to walk through all of the dialogue choices without consequence, but you won’t be able to get the achievement at the end if the game is disabled. You also won’t be able to unlock the “Final Arrangements” ending (once I lock the epilogues, that is).
- In chapter 9, you can skip through number scrabble and blackjack OR you can play them. And if you play and beat Paul at blackjack, he’ll honor his bet. But it shouldn’t be possible to die while playing blackjack if your heart rate gets too high, etc.
- In chapter 10, you can exercise all of the dialogue options without consequence.
I’m still validating/testing some of the edge cases, so - once again - please speak up if you see any quirky or unexpected behavior.
Are you kidding?! I love questions
OH THANK YOU JESUS NO MORE NUMBER SCRABBLE
It was a super unique game - the first time - but as i kept playing through for different endings it started wearing on me so i’m glad i can skip it now xD But I will let you know if any glitches appear when i use it, fingers crossed it goes over fine xD
LOL. Ironically, I added the mini-games to break up the repetition
Shoulda made this an option sooner, hope it helps
lol this is just one girls oppinion, dw (tho i did almost slap charles when i realized THE STUPID NUMBER SCRABBLE IS JUST THE TIC TAC TOE HE CALLED BABYISH NOT FIVE MINUTES AGO
)
I didn’t mean to make you feel self concious though and i’m super sorry if i did. Maybe everyone else was really smart and not horrible at the game, unlike me who was a dumbo and had to keep that 3x9 grid up next to her to have any clue how to win
Sorry if i made you self concious! ):
You didn’t! If it makes you feel any better, btw, I can’t beat number scrabble without looking at a board either
I even have trouble with the laundry room game
for the laundry game, just alternate between pissing richard off and agreeing with him (tho i make an exception for the question about charles, that fecker will never get it easy while i draw breath
)
But good to know i’m not alone in my struggles with number scrabble xD
hate to be the bearer of bad news, BUT, i got an error. Tried to access the stats screen and a popup came with the following:
choicescript_stats line 266: Non-existent variable ‘games_enabled’
from what it read, gonna guess it’s related to the new minigame toggle feature?
Yikes, that is really weird… And I can’t seem to reproduce it
Can you do me a favor and refresh, then let me know if you still see the error? If you were in the middle of a current game and then tried to access stats, it’s possible the variable would be undefined on account of cached files.
Then if you are still seeing the error, please let me know if you pulled up the game from a previous save or used one of the quickstart options. Oh, and let me know which chapter you’re on.
THANK YOU!!!
