Does including sound make an interactive fiction more immersive

So what are your thoughts on this . I generally don’t judge a game by its sound but I wanted to kniw what others think . I think this will be useful to all writers and I’m sure this has never been discussed before.(I know sound is not an “official” choicescript command)

Immersive Ability of Sounds

Yes I think it makes a game more immersive
I don’t really attract any value to sounds
It makes an interactive fiction too gamey for me
