So the whole twins running in families is real then? Cool! There’ll be at least two other twins in the story, but I’m making it a rule that they’ll only be fraternal ones. I think identical twins are a little overrepresented in fiction. …I should probably go lampshade that.

Anyway, I’m always looking for feedback from twins! I don’t actually have one as much as I wish to, so if you have any twin interactions you want to share, I could probably add it in.

I have an identical twin sister (lol younger in ya want to know) and we both have identical twin girls and my mother has a fraternal (younger) sister and their ender brothers (my uncles) are identical twins and one of them had (one of 'em passed away when she’s young) identical twin daughters and the one that’s alive has identical twin boys and lol my maternal grandmother had an identical twin too and there are few twins in her family too…

Our interactions are way too weird to be normalised …
We’re identicals so we used to do something called twin up which most might know or heard, it’s something like switcheroo in few classes and even few exams and pranking was one hell of thing for us especially cause I was (and still am) a rebellious wild one and my twin’s a silent disciplined scaredy cat…
My twin couldn’t even talk back or solve her own problems (she still is unfortunately) and I’m a crazy wild one who loves problem solving…

The update is here! I admit that it’s a little rushed, but I just wanted to get this out as soon as possible because it was bothering me that the update is sitting on my computer 90% finished. Unfortunately the diary feature and some of the graphics didn’t make the cut, so sorry about that. Do not report to me if you see any missing images.

I did Randomtest about 100 times, so there shouldn’t be any game-breaking bugs (I hope), but I’m 100% sure there’s weird stuff and inconsistencies because I don’t have time right now to play through it.

For best replayability and testing, make a save right before you make a choice regarding your relationship with Lily.

There’s two ways to meet up with your twin (depending on whether you ask Lily to send a message), and several variations of each branch depending on how you say sorry, and whether you decide to tell them about what B did.

Whoops. I just did some stealth edits to bunch of bugs and typos. I didn’t realize I left a debug label which was accidentally making everyone emotional and triggering the special interaction with Roselyna.

@Abe Thanks for the reports! I think that’s everything for now.

Also the relationship meter isn’t a bug. I think it just looks that way because of the placeholder.

Hi! It seems pretty unanimous in the survey that everyone likes the twin so far, so I’d hate to make a change without first consulting your opinions.

If you haven’t noticed, the game has a ton of variables, and I would very much like to cull the unnecessary ones. Three of them in my radar are the Silly/Sensible Twin, Disciplined/Stubborn Twin, and whether they trust Lily or not (and I now just realized the choice doesn’t appear if you don’t tell your twin about B).

So, since your locket choice already determines whether your twin is an emotional cuddlebug or not, I thought maybe I could bake in the other three variables into the locket–which means it will have more of an effect to your twin’s personality (aside from the other traits like supportive/competitive which I honestly could also tie into another variable).

So twins wearing the heart locket would behave more like a combination of Wayne and Roselyna, while those with the star locket will be more like JM and Lily.

Fun fact: I based off JM and Lily’s MBTI personalities as the complete opposite of Roselyna and Wayne’s respectively, so the twin’s personality should be more nuanced instead of being emotional or silly all the time if they have the heart locket, for example.

So, do you like this idea?

Also, if you have any opinions or feedback regarding the scenes with B and reuniting with your twin, I’d love to hear them! Those scenes took me a long time to write and get through.

And does anyone have any theories about why B was cast out from the group?

The B scene,… it was fantastic, I have suspected that there are deeper things in this game for a long time and the mysterious reason why B was cast out just make me want to explore more. About my theory, we don’t have any clues now ( or I haven’t find out any ) but there’s must be some kind of event that disturbing ( I don’t know if ‘disturbing’ is the right word ) enough to make B completely hate our group and the main reason will be like … a conflict between B and JM ? Her hatred mainly focuses on JM so I think the primary reason is because of a fight suddenly happened between them. What caused the fight ? We don’t know or we haven’t known but it isn’t jealously for sure

You can actually get a bonus clue if you chose not to trust Lily earlier. You’ll have to make a choice though, since you can’t get all the clues for B’s quest if you decide to investigate about your parents in Chapter 3 instead.

I’ve been too busy to sit down and do both sets of twins, but I did just finish Luke and Reyna’s playthrough! I actually really enjoyed B with Luke, and I’m looking forward to finding out more about them. I also definitely appreciated the choice to stay mad at our twin for a considerable length of time. It really fit how I was playing.

Overall, the update was great! The only things I noticed have already been pointed out, and everything felt pretty together.
