@Havenstone
Lol, well that’s what debating has become, not what its supposed to be.

Debate is disputation. One can use assertion, disproof, or persuasion. If each party holds their view to contain self-evident points, assertion prevails until one set of axioms dominate.
Wow that was probobly the most mature couple of posts on the whole forum

@Drazen “Reflection on the fact that you’re experiencing, which is separate from the experience itself”
beautifully put. Very poetic in meaning and speech
i’am not quite sure that was debateing or argueing.
Little from column A
A little from column B

@Cloudian technically there’s no difference, but if we use the latter word in its lackadaisical modern sense, then no, we weren’t. Not unless one of us called the other a half-asinine banana.
Just tried the new Korkoro Soldier path, definitely liked this one more than the Secretary one, but I like the fact both are so different in style and feel. I hope all the paths will be as good as the two seen so far!
Korkora is my favorite robot type in this game.

@Cloudian how can you say that when wolfwriter20 hasn’t even done half of the intros?
(I think)
Love the game so far, keep up the good work Wolfwriter.

Well, the other ones aren’t in the game yet…
I cant wait for the guard path for the Korkora.
from the descriptions i read mean Korkoro is the masculine male type robot out of the bunch, so of course its my favorite.

@wolfwriter20 I’ve been thinking about your attempts to personalise the generics of ‘ChoiceScript’ games in ‘Dare to Dream’ and have a suggestion on how to further it. Custom stat names, by which I mean; a computer/robot doesn’t have intelligence, charisma, e.t.c. Why not change these stats to relate more to computers, assuming it doesn’t cause too much trouble sifting through code to change them all.
E.g. Intelligence - CPU Frequency, Charisma - User-Friendliness, e.t.c.
Just as examples.

@Cloudian What’s wrong with women? I love women!
Hey everyone!
Yeah the origins are quite different that is true, and I think the second probably reads better because I am finally really getting the hang of ChoiceScript
I also had more fun writing the second one I think…trying to manage the blend of choices changing what you read, having personal interaction, and combat all in one prologue was certainly a challenge, but I love writing action sequences (there is just something inherently cool about describing cutting an enemy in half or using your rail gun to make a crater out of a revolutionary camp…)
@RDT I am glad that you are enjoying it, and thank you for the encouragement. Was it you who mentioned way back in the forum about naming the stats different things? I know it was discussed a little back when this first started. I want to do something like that, just haven’t got around to implementing it yet
I’ve been taking some time off from this game, I’m having trouble figuring out exactly were I want it to go next. I am working on writing out the story more instead of just having my outlines…I think that will help me continue to make a flowing and captivating story that will hinge on your choices.
I have started working on a side project with choicescript, and might post it in the WIP section if I get to put some more work into it this week. It helps having something else to take my mind off Dare to Dream when I start stressing about all the different things I want to be able to do.
@Shoelip I love women too, but that don’t mean i love being a women, in-game i mean, iam a dude so I always try to play as a dude, a dude who always goes after hoes and never bros, u know what iam saying?
@Cloudian That is an inappropriate characterization of women. I’m more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume that you were trying to be funny, but that level of nuance does not communicate well on the forums.

@Cloudian I was just poking fun at the fact that from the way you phrased it, it seemed like the only reason you liked the Korkoro path was because they were masculine. Actually, I didn’t even realize at the time that my comment could easily be interpreted as suggesting that you had a sexual preference for men. lol It is kind of funny that you ended up actually saying something misogynistic because of it… Well… Maybe not so funny… but definitely something.
But yes, I know what you are saying, and I think you really ought to expand your ability to enjoy fiction to include characters who don’t share your sex and gender.
@Shoelip you have a point, but I use fiction(books, videogames, etc…) as a way to project myself into a better more interesting life as a way to escape reality, by imagining myself as a the main character and pretending that its me doing all this stuff, so i try to do everything as id like to think I do if i encountered the scenario in rl. But you have a point and it might just be my stubbornness.
@jasonstevanhill I am sorry if the way i speak offends you. But since your a respectable Admin ill re frame from even attempting to argue with you, partly because you could ban my account if i so much as utter a word more.
