Loved the public update! I really enjoyed it but the ending left me with a question that’s been on my mind for the past few days
I’m not sure if I missed or skipped over something while reading but I was wondering why the MC has to hide their powers at the end of the update inoticed that MC starts thinking about what lie to tell the Elders, which made me curious about whether the personality system will affect the choices we get to make
Personality-wise the way I’ve built my MC, he wouldn’t hide his powers at all i’d actually prefer for him to be honest about them, so I was wondering if that will eventually be an option or if the story requires the MC to hide them regardless of their personality.
Just wanted to ask because I’m curious how much influence the personality system will have on situations like this.

well you did miss something, but it’s not really a major thing, basically a long time ago while with ruloan and auntie, prior to going to the sect she told you to be on your best behavior and to not draw undue attention to yourselves that could paint a target on the back of you and those you are close to.
so it’s less about hiding the power and more about not totally just going out and saying that you are so powerful as to be untouchable so any potential enemies you have will then go after those around you. In the Jianghu Might often makes Right, so if they can’t target you then those around you they CAN target are totally fair for any number of ne’er do-wells

To be fair, potential enemies are only a concern if there’s people alive to potentially oppose you, or witnesses who can attest to your strength. I for one am not opposed to making sure any witnesses conveniently lose their lives after ‘being mauled and eaten by wild animals.’ Not technically a lie if I take a few bites, right?

Personality system has affect on what others think of MC and what MC think of others in certain situation. Revealing your true powers has nothing to do with your personality and as for why you aren’t able to reveal your true powers to everyone, I believe @Wintertrooper has already given the reason.

The amount of content being added each week is impressive, but I’m especially interested in how the different choices affect the story. Being able to play the protagonist as merciful or ruthless should make repeat playthroughs feel quite different. I also like that the character can be male, female, or non-binary and that the romance options are open to different choices. With the story already getting regular updates, it will be interesting to see how these choices affect the later parts of the game.

I’m trying to save Yu xan little sister but I’m getting an error, is anyone else getting this? (Edit: nevermind, I just figured out u can still change ur mind and cure after letting her be. I was just too scared of letting this poor soul die
) (edited edit: so actually evem after curing Xu Lin, when Xu Yan asks me to cure her herself, it still won’t let me say yes. The strory goes on as if I didn’t cure her

Ok I’ve played through all of the rewrite content and I’ve come to the conclusion that I literally can’t save anyone or anything
I can’t save Xu Yin, I can’t save Xu ke’s bird, I can’t even save the ape. Bruh wth
