By the way, are points taken off if the game is gender-locked?
I believe not but maybe some negative point for personal view by judges but I think not if is well determined why is gender locked. Two of judges are woman you know I personally try to forget that but I always play as female if I could

Have not heard from him yet. Looking at a few stand bye options for his spot. If nothing else I will step in.
@TIYF I do not want you to think I forgot about you, but have been out in the booneys since Friday so only getting g1 on my network. To slow to up load,but hoping to make it back to civilization by Saturday, then will fix.
I know have a replacement judge CS_Closet, due to out side factors is withdrawing from the contest and stepping up as the new judge.
I’m glad for the opportunity to judge, although I have to apologize to the rest of the entrants for my withdrawal. Also, if @Vendetta would like the position returned, I would be happy to do so if need be.
Do we get penalized if the length of the game is under two hours, or do we merely not get points for anything over that?
I Think is the second @CJW but some judge could determine the duration like a handicap in the global point game or in his personal point card but I could be wrong
“Length of play - Two hours is the max for judging. For every 1/4 hour is one point, up to 8 total points.”
But at the same time, if someone writes the best single choice single paragraph story/game ever, I hope that they don’t get 175 / 183 points.

That would have to be some magically amazing paragraph with an equally improbably amazing single choice. :-))
Rather than a penalty, the points for length seem more like bonus points since there are so few of them compared to other categories.
I added the length of play as there has been talk from time to time of how long a game should be. Personally I don’t care how long it is if it is enjoyable. Hence game length can get you points but it is such a small part of the experience.
8 days left, ow the pressure is on. I am very happy to see some of you are now in beta testing. I am spending the weekend finishing up the icons and setting up the page to display the winning stories. I plan on displaying all the stories and their scores. The judges feedback I will pm to each writer.
