anyone heard b.a.p one shot???

I always write to the song
Breath of life from the snow white and the huntsman soundtrack. I didn’t think it was good until I played it a few times.

Depends on what I’m writing but in general I listen to pretty much anything; trance, metal, classical, ambient, soundtracks, drum n bass, pfff what else…
I’ll just put up a few links.

Epic: Mark Petrie - Asperatus

Dark Ambient: Lustmord - Zoetrope

Hard Trance: BACED! - Mistress Of Darkness

Future Garage (?): Karma Kid - Temptation

That’s probably enough, don’t want a page long post. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maroon5!!!
And all of the other 137 songs on my ipod

Is is just me, or does everyone else listen to music when they write? Because personally I find that I write and type a lot more slowly when I’m listening to music, and the quality of my already poor works are often affected by it as well…

You should not listen to the music… you should write to the music.

I found the following article to be helpful, hope others do so as well:

I almost always listen to music while I write but I find that unless it’s very unobtrusive and instrumental, it tends to bleed into whatever I’m writing to some extent. I try to make a virtue of this, though, by making playlists to match the period/mood/theme of things I’m writing. Sometimes I even spend longer on the playlist than the writing itself!

As an example, this was my playlist for Ironheart:

there is music you shake your butt to. I’ve got those.

Then there are music, often from unknown artist from YT, I listen to and then go ā€˜ā€˜DING DING! Inspiration…time to write!’’ .

It’s weird, but yeah. Music is the biggest inspiration I’ve got. And the best muse :stuck_out_tongue:

Watching something, thats distracting. But music, nope. Although, I don’t do playlist.

One song is enough lol

I must say Astronomia and the coffin dance is one of the hottest music these days

Same for me. Putting aside historical and fairy tale stories, music is the biggest inspiration to draw from. Especially music in languages that I don’t understand (classical music included) thus can let the imagination go wild.

As a teenager, I used to listen to a lot of Japanese music (Aimer, EGOIST, etc.) when writing. These days I listen mostly folk/pagan rock/metal (knowing my WIP, that’s kinda obvious ^^ā€˜ā€™). Wardruna and Einar Selvik are Odin-sent~

Love Sabaton too (got ideas for ww1/ww2 IF game cuz of that :D), Poets of The Fall or classical music for mixing the playlist in Spotify and relaxing in general.
