@WaterOracle, Hmm that’s not a bad suggestion. Unfortunately, I think “term” is used more in Europe/Canada than it is in the U.S. Americans might not get it. But we don’t get a lot of things. 
@HitenMitsurugi, thanks for providing @reaper95 the guide. I had meant to provide it to him/her earlier but I had totally forgotten about it. And when you list out all the requirements to woo Uni it makes me seem like an evil genius when in reality I was just ad-libbing and trying to space out the romanceable characters.
@AdamGoodtime, it’s good to see you back, my good sir! I think several other folks have been obsessed with Dragon Age as well, from what I understand.
As to secrets, with the current link there are secrets available for DG, Tress, Mob, Uni, Wombat and (new!) Stunner. Secrets for Crook and Origami, (and perhaps but maybe not) Stoic will be available in the beta, so at the least there will be 8 to find.
I’ll have to figure out based on beta feedback if it would be desirable for me to tweak the story so that it’s possible to get all 8 (or 9) on a single playthrough. I know that’s impossible as things stand now.

Dragon Age<3 I think it would be good, I wanna get an A XD. Plus I need to know what to do with Stoic ;_;. I’ve actually thought about it like every single time I play this because I’m a curious person who likes to experiment and find weaknesses from study. I tried to find trends, and I mean, so far stoic likes to stay absolutely still…maybe moving weakens the shield…or takes it out all the way, or it strains her and makes it tougher…She also doesn’t seem too emotional, so maybe having emotional outbursts ruins her power…I feel like a Batman who can’t find the secrets on superman. XD
My theory is that she’s magnetic. Hold one out and she flies straight towards it.
Hmm, that’s very true. You could also just abbreviate it to CCH: Semester 1. I mean, there’s going to be a description along with it anyways where you can expand the title, right?

@HornHeadFan, What?! Awwwwwwwwwwww, well I guess I’m gonna have to take a different approach then if guns are frowned upon here. Looks like I’m gonna have to take the Vito/Michael Corleone path to do what needs to be done. I’m gonna need to get some judges and lawyers in my pocket
Yeah, I’m also wondering what Crook’s deal is after the farmhouse scene. It worries me a little haha. And Heretic is a creep from what I’ve read. I’m glad my character has opportunities to voice her opinion. I’m fond of Dirty Girl. She and my character ended up as troublemaking best buds.
I love this game so far. I do wish the MC’s weakness played more of a role. My character is a “glass jaw” detective and she didn’t seem all that fazed in the offensive fighting class
I do feel like a lot of my skills saw some good use. I got the chance to trick, charm and sneak. The Contrarian intrigues me. I like her villain angle.
Anyway, this game is very fun. I look forward to more.

Still said about the lack of a Stoic romance option, but on the idea of her powers I’m betting they are either weakened by emotions, or the ‘tradeoff’ is they just dampen her emotions majorly. Not sure if it could be explained by her just being magnetic and repulsing objects, since it quite obviously colors her personality.

Perhaps, but it could also be some event from her past that causes her to repress her emotions, so I wouldn’t cross out magnets or other non-emotion dependent powers yet.
@Brian, I think I fixed the Uni error. I fixed a mistake at that line this morning but I haven’t had time to do another playthrough or run testing.

@LacetheDisgrace, welcome to the thread. I don’t think I’ve seen you before. You make a good point about weaknesses not being utilized into the combat scenes. I’ll get input in beta and either add a few weakness-specific triggers to the combat scenes or just dump the whole weakness idea to streamline things a bit more. After all, being the only non-Zenith is probably a sufficient weakness.

@WaterOracle, help me figure out the title thing during Beta. That’s another question I’ll ask everyone. I’m pretty much married to having “Community College Hero” in the title but I realize having a longish title gives me fewer options for subtitles.

Okay this should be a productive writing day as the kiddos have piles of toys to keep them occupied. Of course there is the little matter of the biggest college basketball game of the year but that will be my break time.
My project for today is to write the scenes immediately following the DAH DAH DAHHH teasers.
Hopefully it will be a difficult choice for the reader choosing between hitting the honkytonk with some of the rowdier students and staying back at the farm and trying to finally piece together the Contrarian puzzle using the combined brainpower of the more analytical students.
On our final the Breaking class, I think it should be a option to come with a clever way to challenge Downfall, by including both teams that the MC was involved with in capture the flag. After all Downfall and Hedonist only said we had take her down and protect him by any means necessary using the teams from Cspture the Flag. Both teams participated in capture the flag, so technically including Crook, Origami, mob, and Stoic into the MC’s team wouldn’t be breaking the rules. And it would increase our chances of both taking down Downfall, and protecting Hedonist without increasing danger to ourselves in the process.
If I lead the charge in the final I would set up like:
Offense(Attacking Downfall)
Stunner
MC
Mob
Defense(Protecting Hedonist
Dirty Girl
Stoic
Origami
Support(Help with both objectives/Sub in for fallen comrades)
Tress
Crook
Also since both of our teams are used to working together, and living together all ready, thanks to the study groups, then they already have good chemistry and teamwork!!! It’s the perfect plan, and totally fair since we don’t even know what downfall can do yet (But whatever she can do, I bet it’s able to penetrate through Stoics force field after all Stoic is only probably like a G5 at the most, and Downfall has to be at least a G8 or more, )(Stoic really should’ve tried to learn some offensive moves just as a contingency plan)
For my playthrough I chose crook as the main romance option and I got to the farmhouse scence and chose to be coy with the hands on the neck deal and I thought it went ok? Can anybody tell me if the other options end better or worse in terms of reaction and relationship?
Choosing to “go for his zipper” will result in him stopping you and telling you that he “likes you, but there’s just something”

For romance I usually go with DG but on my most recent one I chose Tress, I wanna try one with Uni girl but Idk how to do good at that elementary school rally…lost points there lol. About the characters though, I’ve already speculated a lot about stoic n I’d love a romance there but I’m pretty sure she’s good, same with Downfall, Nil I can’t speculate too much about coz of lack of info. Hedonist though, he confuses me a lot. He gives me such bad vibes, and I’ve never been on his good side on any run throughs. I wonder if he’s a bad guy, but then Sometimes he says things that make you wonder if maybe he actually does have peoples’s interests at heart. Dunno…Uni also makes me wonder stuff, she just gave up her secret so easily. She says her power is swimming right? But she could easily be hiding the fact that she’s just really fast and is the contrarian Anti Flash, using a brown wig.
Oh and about the weaknesses talk, nuuuu don’t make meh auto lose. D; I wants to be the most badass captain powerless everrr. bat man, I wanna be batman.
