Hi @HornHeadFan and everyone else,
I’ve decided to check out the game again about a month ago and got up to the press confrence where we were fighting over the issue of closing the school. I’m sure it’ll close up which sets up part two.
In any event, I hope to beta test the game when available. My hope is that it will be public, but if an email is to be sent I will be one of the first to send one to play and help out with the epic conclusion to this story.
Speaking of helping out, it would be much, much easier if there was a save system to come back to the game so we don’t have to play it all in one sitting. Now when the beta comes out I expect to play through part one again, but when I come back to the game later I’d like to be able to start part 2.
I don’t think we’ll be able to play part one and two in one sitting. It takes me a bit to get through part one, especially with these random rolls.
Looking forward to beta testing the next update!

Work has been crazy this week but I wanted to check in and thank everyone for the supportive messages. I love this thread and honestly the feedback, suggestions and kind words have helped keep me going.
I continue to grind away, and hopefully this weekend I’ll get a bigger chunk of time.

They’re members of the Diabolical Dozen, not classmates. It says so in the prologue…?

Would it be possible, though? I mean the Dozen has twelve members and they’re not going to change that, seeing as ‘dozen’ means twelve.
Why would a group of powerful Grade 8+ villains, who have only ever had two members captured, suddenly drop three of their members and then resort to recruiting three college students–from Speck of all places?! And wouldn’t the MC be aware of classmates with pyrokinetic, super strength and stealth capabilities?
I don’t reeeeally see it as a possibility?
@heyyoungblood, you broke that down very well and cited a lot of specifics! Hell even I forgot about the “only had two members captured before” part.
Yes, I don’t think it’s a surprise that the villains beating the crap out of the MC at the beginning are members of the Dozen. I’m weaving in references to those three villains in Part I. Origami mentions one of them during a HELL study session, and I had mentioned another of them in the first few pages but took it out because it seemed like an overload of info. I’ll find ways to put the other two back in.
I’m okay with the identity of the trio being known to the reader pretty early, because duh yes the main bad guys are going to show up in the series climax, and because there will be twists and turns leading up to that showdown. Hopefully the reader is wondering, “How the Hell can my MC get out of this?”

Ok ok I concede lol I was only making a suggestion. So anyways would we have a possibility of battling the contorian in any of the games?? Although I don’t see that happening… Also will we devil oping full fledge relationships with our classmates or just flings? And when will we have use for the lawyer?

- I am a lawyer in RL so yes there will be legal/insurance issues throughout the story and who knows, your MC might get sued at any time!

Well @StarWarsMaster at this point in the thread you’ve been throwing that reference for [at least] the last 200 posts. If there’s someone in this thread who doesn’t know that’s a Tron reference, I’m guessing it’s because they don’t want to know. If Disney makes a third movie I hope they hire you to promote it.

That would look super cool!! Oh and thanks for answering the lawyer question. That was my biggest issue with the comics cuz wouldn’t insurance be awfully high?

So, uh, I had a dream about this game, well about this thread actually. It wasn’t very long, we were just posting about how some characters were romanceble and others weren’t, and Stoic came up. At this point a bemused HornHeadFan joined in saying 'I’m surprised so many people are interested, considering she’s a serial killer and all." My reaction was basically “What?!” And I went to go and open the game in a new tab to go and check if you’d dropped any hints about it (or I’d missed her killing scenes? This was a dream). And yeah that’s it. My brain is silly…
