Community College Hero: Releasing Soon

Hmm, have to say while I wouldn’t care too much about a language filter option, I’d love like a golden age filter. So not only no curse words but when someone gets his there’s a “POW! ZAP!” and the PC hears theme music in his head.,

I wish there were more options for humorous dialogue. Like instead of asking wombat “Did you lose a bet?” I’d rather tell him “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone your deep dark secret: That you are a wombat in a human suit in a wombat suit, the perfect disguise!”

Hmm…only 1,962 words yesterday. It sure seemed like I typed more than that but Notepad does not lie. Goal is at least 3k today.

@Pqfire09, no the last update was over a month ago and ends after the press conference. The last update/beta will add at least 30k words to the story. The whole “faking powers” thing is interesting, and you’ll notice I gave the MC options that would be at least somewhat possible to bluff having, but I really didn’t want to have that be a whole side story. I just wanted it limited to a scene. HOWEVER, the MC will be meeting some new heroes in new locations in Part II, and it might be a humorous choice for the MC to try to get DG or Crook or someone to help them ‘fake’ it for a while. Will you mention this to me again during beta testing? I’ll be asking for ideas for Part II.

@stsword, actually I might want to use that dialogue! Would that be okay with you? And I love the golden age filter idea. I won’t be able to implement something like that now (and I’m realizing I probably won’t be able to implement the curse toggle either) but having an excess of ideas sure beats the alternative.

Can you imagine a Golden Age Filter versus a 1990s Filter? POW, ZAP, lots of punches, bumbling villain henchpeople and a sidekick in distress VERSUS everyone has huge guns bigger than their bodies, everyone stands on their tip-toes, women contort their bodies in unnatural positions even when standing still, and the pouches!! Pouches everywhere!!

@hornHeadFan Yeah np, ill mention it!

@Hornheadfan when u first started writing this story I fell in love with it! But now seeing how far u have come with it brings about much joy to us humans to see how we can read and write! Keep up the great work! Don’t give up!

Everyone will be looking at the cat anyway so I don’t even bother. shrugs

Oh feel free to use that dialogue suggestion, and yeah a golden age versus 90s filter would be pretty interesting, although that sounds like a lot of work. Perhaps that’s something you could do after finishing the story like that zombie game which has a “you get to play rambo basically” as an additional option being released later.

Ugh. Only 1,058 words yesterday. Not a very productive day.

Still, if I hit 3,880 I would have still managed 10k words over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. I’m going to fall short of my goal of finishing by tonight but at the very least I was able to take a large jump towards completion.

I’m sweating, I’m sweating so hard! Is there a pre-signup somewhere to apply for beta!?

If there was I would be on it already

That makes me sad, well at least the cat will be happy.

Greetings Programs!
I just wanted to say in regard to all the beta questions: @Hornheadfan has said that he will post a new thread about beta once it’s up and running. So who else think that the villains at the beginning of the story are your classmates??
End Of Line

Well, just under 2k words today so about 8k for the holiday weekend. My goal now is to just get something done every single day, even if it’s just 500 words.

@StarWarsMaster, I promise you’ll be in the first group of people to test it! Don’t worry!

@Tlud and @fox_vixen, it’ll be relatively soon. Don’t sweat it. :sweat_smile:

Actually I like this smile cat emote too :smiley_cat:

Realized I hadn’t post here for a while, so popping in to say that this is probably my favorite WIP out there and to keep on going strong @HornHeadFan! Can’t wait to see what’s next in store for my stealth heavy charmer who can fight about as well as an actual clown. =P

Whoo! 8k! That’s really great! You can do it! We believe in you!

So excited for the beta can hardly contain my excitement this is my favorite wip and good luck with the writing @HornHeadFan

Can’t wait for it to be done really like the game hope to be able to test the game as well.

Cool can’t wait for the beta

Greetings Program!
So @Hornheadfan how many words did u get in so far today? Lol Keep up the awesome work!! By the way I think it would be cool if you choose detective you should also add an investagative Journalist choice as well because that would be in line with the classic comics as well
