If his kid is so sneaky, why do you assume that he would toggle to the harmless version once he’s gotten his mitts on it? =P The only way such a function would be useful is if a guardian is present while the game is being played, it’s a ton of work for something that is essentially toothless unless handled correctly. At least when it comes to keeping it away from kids, of course there’s still adults who are sensitive to that kind of thing and who would willingly subject themselves to a toggle button though.
But given that you @HornHeadFan changed the equipment and class system to keep things simple, it seems kind of counterproductive to aspire to this now, no? Otherwise you have a LOT of indentation in your future, just saying. Unless you would rather create a var for each swear and set it to BLEEP or something.
Thanks for the feedback on the clean/mature toggle. I’ll figure out if it’s doable or worth the effort during beta. I definitely have more ideas than I have time.
Well, we had a change of plans so no football game trip this weekend but that means up to 10 hours of writing time over the next two days. I’ll report back on Sunday night with the word count I was able to hit. My hope is to be 95% finished, meaning I will need to knock out 10K words this weekend.
That should put me in range of finishing the story and hopefully posting a beta thread by the end of Thanksgiving Day weekend. Radio silence until Sunday night!
Well I’m not going to hit my target goal of 10K words. A bout of the flu visited our house like a medieval plague. This has not been a good month.
Anyway, I did manage 5,740 words so it’s not a total loss for the weekend. I might try to get another 1,000 in before bed but with zombies and Survivor Series on tonight, I wouldn’t place money on that actually happening.
You too, eh? the flu has also managed to get into my household but, luckily I had already gotten my flu shot! Can’t say the same for my room-mate though…

I cranked out about 3,100 words today finishing off a study group scene. It’s late but I’m waiting for my wife to get back from Black Thursday shopping so I might work a bit longer.
And @Deathwriter, the DD is designed to be more of a national/global threat like an Injustice League so they would be way above the groupings of Spider-Man villains in the SS.
I saw posts about death marches to completion and stuff so I thought I’d ask, has the link at the beginning been updated? ;o Just cause if stuff’s been added I’d play again.
One other thing, I think it would of been neat to be able to fake having powers. In the beginning when they ask, I said I had super sensing, since I chose detective and stuff, it’d of been interesting to let you use your listening device to hear what DG said…make it kinda like a secret or something. xD
