How do you even romance dirty girl anyway?
Go dancing, heat up the dance floor with her.
what does aro mean??
@AdamGoodtime ‘Aro’ is short for ‘aromantic’. It’s a term used to describe a person who has no romantic attraction towards people, meaning no desire to date or ‘hook up’.
@Blackbeard, there is a scene with DG (if you are romancing her) where she pressures you into doing something that you might not want to. Tell me your reaction to that if you get that far.
@OtherGrimm, some folks might interpret Stoic as being rather ‘aro.’ I think that would be a fair interpretation, at least at this stage.
Okay, at least 1,500 words before bedtime!
Aro huh, surprised I never heard of this before. Also, for DG, is there specific dialogue options to get onto her path? Like do you have to stay with her all night at the party or sumthin cause I went more for like a opposites attract type thing where I was trying to be responsible and stayed to tell her she should go home later on in the night. xD…I mean I stayed there but instead of the getting heated up on the dance floor option I chose the you should go home option.
Belated happy birthday!
Keep up the good work. ![]()
ok sounds interesting soo far
My reaction to what you mentioned about dirty girl asking to do something I might not want was rather normal.
@Pqfire09, as was said earlier, the “on ramp” to romance DG is to heat up the dance floor with her at the rave. Then you’ll get some dialogue/choice options to flirt with her in class, have her come over to your apartment, and there’s even a few flirty comments during the Crook mission. There are also at least “off ramps” that I can think of that will result in either you dumping her or her dumping you. Being a goody two shoes at the rave leaves you out in the cold romantically speaking although you can still have a really high friendship score that will result in her tossing a few extra jokes your way during the story.
@JTAL, thank you. Although for some reason, the more I think about my birthday the more I’ve thought about how much younger most of the folks on the CoG forums are! This is me…
This is most of the folks here
@Blackbeard, the reason I asked was that I had considered toning that scene down months ago…I think there was a discussion in the thread about it.
GENERAL QUESTION: Considering this is a comic book themed story that might interest younger/teen readers, what would everyone think of a toggle at the beginning of the story that basically lets the reader choose between a “clean” (PG) version and a “more mature” (PG 13ish) version?
The toggle would turn off the “fcks" and "shts” and pretty much everything worse than ‘damnit’ and would also eliminate the sex references. The violence/battles would probably remain unchanged as I don’t think any of it is very graphic.
Basically, is this an idea that you think customers would appreciate? Would anyone actually click the “clean” toggle?
While I personally don’t think you’d have that many children playing, I do respect the idea of having the toggle anyway. If you do have any players that don’t need to see that then this will allow them to play without such exposure.
@HornHeadFan – Never think of a birthday as a sign of growing older, but a celebration that you have been around for your beloveds and friends for another year. As for age, often it is more a mental state than anything. Me, I shall never grow up completely, keeping within me my own Neverland. For ever young at heart.
(Maturity is a whole other thing, some folks never mature but neither do they stay children; they merely remain childish, heh… But never grow up completely, or you end up boring and without a sense of humour.)
I don’t think the contents are so bad but toning down some of the more adult content wouldn’t give it a more legit feel. But hey that’s just me.
I know this off topic but I really loved it so far and I hope you continue with it
@Ryuu, well I wasn’t really thinking about “children,” but I was thinking of kiddos in the age 12-14 group, basically middle schoolers. I’m not really sure if kiddos that young buy CoGs/HGs or if our customer base starts in high school. And some folks just don’t care for language or ‘adult situations’
in stories.
@122B, how old is your little sister? I was most concerned with middle school age kiddos. High schoolers can fend for themselves! And honestly I do feel a little weird writing a story I wouldn’t let my oldest daughter read, but she’s 9 and honestly I wouldn’t let her read this until at least high school.
I’ll rethink the toggle option in the beta process. If there are fewer than 20 scenes that would be affected, I might pull the trigger on it. We’ll see.
@JTAL, Thank you for the much needed pep talk! I’ll be okay now until my next birthday and then the mid-life crisis will reappear! I’m admittedly a bit childish. But then again, so are my wife, my twin brother, and my closest friends. For our Disney trip, I wore a full body spandex Syndrome (from “The Incredibles”) and I pulled it off pretty well if I do say so myself.
@Blackbeard, yeah I sorta like the adult content. At first I had envisioned going to “Kick Ass” levels but I quickly decided that would alienate a lot of people. I feel like I’m firmly in the middle ground.
@Alexa_Nicolaou, It is never off topic to give a compliment! Thank you. ![]()
Ooh! Ooh! I found a Stoic emote.
And a Stunner one
That emote is perfect!!!
Based on the reviews for zombie exodus, I’d say you have 5 year olds.
Happy extremely late belated Birthday ;-;
I don’t think adding that restriction is going to even be used by kids. Sure when there parents are around they’ll use it but once they’re alone I doubt they’ll be able to resist just out of sheer curiosity.
@HornHeadFan – No, no, childish as in immature, not as in retaining your inner child and able to see things from a child’s perspective or acting completely out of your age. If that makes sense?
Too many grown-ups are all grown up, too many are childish (or teenage-ish, if you will) but few keep their inner child alive which is a shame. The latter are those who can enjoy things like wearing that suit, watch cartoons and such, the others look down on such things (the ‘grown-up’ is beyond such things, the ‘childish/immature’ is no child at heart, merely mind).
Sorry for my poor explanation, I blame not being native to English (always a good excuse when I phrase something poorly).
I personally would not use the toggle button but my best friend ( I showed him this forum ) would definitely like a toggle button so he wouldn’t have to hide the game from his 9 year old. He’s very sneaky when it comes to that.
