@Drini7, I hope for beta round 1 to feature a pretty much finished game, although I may start the beta while I’m still tweaking a few of the combat scenes. For instance, the Wombat fight in Chapter 4 and the Rain/Shine fight in Chapter 5 are both coded in a way that doesn’t make any since anymore with the 4 new archtypes.

@StarWarsMaster, lol I’m glad I didn’t mess up your busy Saturday. Still not down yet though! Chapters 1-5 are all pretty much ready for beta (other than the Wombat and Rain/Shine fights mentioned above), and that includes changing the way the relationships work, changing the archtypes and starting stats, making Jacob a larger part of the story, adding another Uni date, adding the persona variable with lots of choices to go along with it and adding a small teaser about "Community College Villain." So I’m really happy with 5/7 of the game. It’s the last 2/7 that are taking a lot of time because I’m basically rewriting a lot of it.

General Comment - when CCH is ready for beta I will create a new thread asking for folks to email me, so it will be semi open. There will be no way to miss it. No one will be excluded but I’ll likely limit waves to a dozen people or so at a time to let me actually consider the feedback and not get overwhelmed. Also I’ll mostly be asking for help with typos, errors, and continuity problems, because at that point, the substantive content will likely stay unless people just hate it.

I have decided my first proper play through will star a heroine called Lumpy Space Princess. She may or may not wear rollerskates.

Yeah @OtherGrimm, that was definitely part of it.
I just ask that everyone be patient. I have a lot on my plate this fall and my CCH progress is slower than I would prefer. However, it’s more than 80% done and it’s definitely going to be finished. I’ve went back and worked the “persona” variable into Chapters 1-5 to allow readers to design a more charming, brooding, wisecracking or traditional hero but it really doesn’t affect the substance of the game. Just a little window dressing.
And to be honest I’ve taken a break from coding for the past 2 weeks. I needed to recharge my batteries a bit. So I’ve spent lunch hours designing the members of the Diabolical Dozen. I actually have drafts of all 12 with powersets, names, etc., but I’m sure I’ll make changes. If I’m happy with the descriptions, I might include an short excerpt for Part II at the end of Part I maybe with a scene where MegaCat gives the Speck students dossiers on each DD member. I figure this would allow the reader to become familiar with the DD members and thus not be overwhelmed with soooo many new characters in Part II.
I’m feeling refreshed and I’ll get back to coding this weekend.
