@fox_vizen Cupcakes make everything better (eats cupcake) Om nom nom nom. Thanks.
I wish it was September now…!! I really want to play the beta!!! Oh well three weeks to go lol!! I wish we had the option of bow and arrows tho… I always visualize my mc looking like robin from Arkham city without the cape
@Johndn90, well there will be many twists and turns from now to the end of the CCH series, chararcters will come and go, but yeah I’ve already given thought about a series ending that involves the formation of a super team if certain choices are made. I think itnwould be awesomely fun to write a scene where they argue about the team name!
And throw whatever money you have. Maybe something will work. Euros? Those cute Canadian $2 coins?
I’m glad you like the characters. Do you like one more than the others? I’
I’m the sort who is more into “interesting” characters than my “favorite” characters. I’ve just done 1.5 playthroughs, so I’m sure I missed a lot, but wombat, mob, tress, origami, and crook are all characters I’d like to learn more about. But side characters like the delightfully seldom named the same way twice uni-narwhal girl, can add a lot of sense of reality and being in a world bigger than the protagonist’s immediate circle.
@HornHeadFan “Those cute Canadian $2 coins?”
Hahahaha, as i canadian myself i totally approve of your humour (:
*UPDATE*
Okay, so I lied about the beta being the next update. I had over 30K words just sitting there offline and I was having a few problems with quicktest and randomtest picking up “errors” that I don’t think are really errors, so it made sense to post that material now so that folks can check for errors and give feedback.
More than anything else, I’d really appreciate feedback on the relationships and continuity thereof. Do the decisions the characters make about you seem logical based on your actions and prior events? Does anyone do or say something that makes you think, “Hey! Based on x/y/z, that doesn’t make sense!” If so, please post details. There are a lot of characters to juggle and I’m trying hard to make sure it all makes sense but I’m sure there are some mistakes.
Folks who like either Uni or Crook will notice some new material with them.
Also, I’d note that chapter 5 is VERY wide, much like chapter 4. You could probably play through it a half dozen times and still find substantial new material. Stunner, Mob, DG and Tress all have date scenes, and Uni’s steakhouse dinner scene from Chapter 4 is greatly expanded. Crook’s group and Uni’s group have significant “what to do about Contrarian” scenes although I’m still working on the press conference for Tress’s group.
I do not think there are any game-stopping errors, but I can’t promise that to be true. If you encounter any such errors, please post and I will try to quickly fix those so as not to irritate other readers.
And yes, I still have a lot to finish by Labor Day, but it’s doable! I’m still pretty much on schedule.
@eleazzaar, Yes that’s one of the challenges about writing in a school setting, balancing a focus on the main set of characters while still recognizing that other hero students do exist and may pop in scenes from time to time.
@AdamGoodtime, I seriously think the U.S. should adopt at least dollar coins. Your toonies or whatever they’re called make a lot of sense to me. And I remember when I visited Toronto (for a Wrestlemania!) that folks up there: 1) liked gravy with french fries and 2) had to buy beer at “beer stores.” Good times!
Chapter 5, the line “and at worst a lightening rod for mentally unhinged criminals.”
‘Lightening’ should just be ‘lightning’.
FINALLY got a ‘date-scene’ with Mob, though I was a little disappointed in the non-romantic setting.
Got no errors that I saw. Will test more later.
This was my worst playthrough I only got one secret.
@HornHeadFan I’ll have to give more detailed feedback later but I do have a game stopping error for you! Got this when kissing Crook at the church:
line 1549: Invalid expression at char 2, expected NUMBER, STRING, VAR or PARENTHETICAL, was: EQUALITY [=]
On a very Canadian side note: Now I’m craving a poutine.
@OtherGrimm, fixed…
@Wire, fixed…and what in the world is a poutine? :-?
@Dark_Stalker, I’m working on weaving a lot more secret snatching in the next update, so don’t worry about just getting the one this time.
So is there a new link for it and yahoo!!!
LINKREMOVED
Yep, @StarWarsMaster, here’s the link. (I know it’s a pain to get to the first page of a thread if you’re on mobile version of site)
@122BCooper, Thanks for the head’s up. I’m coming home from the gym in a few minutes and I’ll clean it up. I’m also trying to run new tests on the update if I can figure out an error message holding me up.
I have seen a date sence yet maybe I shouldn’t flirt with everyone?
General announcement. I’ve played through both the Crook group and the Tress group on the updated link and both seem to work fine now, getting all the way to the end of the update. I’m sorry about the problems earlier.
Has anyone played the Uni group subplot and can you report back about whether you get to the end of the update error-free?
how do you get to romance Uni i try all the time
I can’t when I go to break up with tress or mob to date stunner I get an error bad mobbreakup
@StarWarsMaster, sorry about that. I fixed the label causing that error a minute ago. It should work now, at least I think it should. That scene is really complicated code-wise and I’m worried there may be more mistakes.
@joejoe21, you need to take a dive for Uni in the Breaking People mid-term exam and then pick neither Crook’s nor Tress’s group in the Contrarian debate. That will you land you in the “tweener” group led by Uni, and you’ll get a chance to romance her if you took the dive earlier.
Ok ran into a another error playing the Uni romance it says bad equality can u please fix it?
@StarWarsMaster, did it give a line number or anything? I just played all the way through the Uni group and received no errors but I think I was just platonic with her.
