@HornHeadFan I’m a stubborn mule with a bit of free time at the moment, so I did go ahead and replay…(: And I did manage to steal four secrets this go round.
I didn’t seem to have the option to date Dirty Girl again even though I went on that first date with her. Perhaps it had something to do with picking Uni’s group this time around instead of Crook’s?
@Fiogan, you are a wonderful stubborn mule then! The first “date” (goth party scene) with DG doesn’t mean you end the night in a “dating” status. You end up dating Dirty Girl by interacting with her in the Crook group.
I will add there is currently a “dating Tress with DG on the side” option that you can reach and I’m also going to make it possible to be “dating Mob with Crook on the side” at some point as well.
And yay for the four secrets! I think that is the max you can get now.
@StarWarsMaster, what was the exact error? If you have the date with DG at the end of Chapter 5 (for now), it should automatically say you’ve learned her secret because she’s waiving the baggie around.
Hi all,
Just completed my first play through last night and have to say I really enjoy it. There’s no save system though? I believe i got to the under construction parts to start CH6 and well, I have to play through everything again? I’m also wondering how to get an A on the first Hell test? The closest I got on it was a B with the information I was provided.
Also it’d be cool to save to keep the relationship stats in check, wouldn’t want to eventually win Tress back again.
@Natsu_Dragneel, I have fixed that Dirty Girl secret error. I had forgotten to create that variable in the the startup file. On your next playthrough, you should get an additional (perhaps somewhat controversial) choice after she waves the baggie around. Thanks for telling me! I swear I ran randomtest over and over and over and I guess it froze up before catching that.
@jcury, so now you know how to get DG’s secret, and again there will be another choice after you discover it.
@Saracenar, I very much appreciate you catching those typos and mistakes. I try to be thorough and self-edit before posting but I miss stuff! I am fixing those typos but since I’m already working offline on the next update, those fixes will not show up on the public link until my next update since they don’t ruin the experience (unlike Natsu’s game-ending error which I try to fix immediately on the public link) I hope all is going well with your WiP as well!
@Orinks, I’m happy to hear you enjoy the story thus far. I am a very new writer and I’m still learning about certain features. To be honest, I have no idea how to implement a save system as I haven’t researched it yet. Because the length of the final story will probably be about 2 hours, perhaps longer, I probably will need to implement one eventually. Baby steps!
General Comment: Regarding secrets - I know some of them are hard to obtain the first time and require you to befriend certain characters or make certain choices. My goal is to give the MC another shot at uncovering some secrets, either through additional social options in Chapters 5 and 6, or through some actual spying (I thought the Detectives, Tacticians and perhaps Snipers would enjoy that option).
So at the end of the demo, it says you can either go on your date, study, or go hunt some secrets. Would it be possible to have a study session with your date or drag them along to acquire some secrets? Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak?
Also, about the secrets: can we choose to not tell all the secrets we acquired, even if it costs us our grade? I’ve already acquired Mob’s secret, but giving away the secret of my character’s boyfriend would probably ruin their relationship. Also, I love @trollhunterthethird 's idea to have Mob worry about your character. I might have my character switch sides just to see that happen.
Can we get Nil’s secret and turn that in for our assignment? I can imagine my character strutting up to him/her/it and going, “I didn’t get you all 5 secrets like I promised… but I got YOUR secret!” And then she totally gets an A
Also, I was wondering if we could type in a description of our costume and color scheme, similar to Orpheus Ruse with your appearance. Just a thought.
