just played the update(i’ve been on vacation)and i think it’s great.
question:does who you stare at during the first Nil class make a difference.
because i was kinda hoping i could discover something about Nil or stoic,but it has the same dialogue for all of them.
ps. if you kill off DG,Tress or Crook i’m going to slowly and sadistically murder the contrarian and then drown you and your family in his/her blood.
okay on a serious note i wouldn’t do that, but i would be sad. :c
So since one of our classmates are going to die by the Contrian’s hands are we going to have a choice in a choose who to save kinda of way? Or do you have a set character that your planning on killing off instead? Of course if any of this is to spoilery feel free not to answer though. Great job on the game so far, I’m loving all the intresting characters and I’m hating the Contrarian already!
@Sneaks, I think I missed the ‘realism train’ with the telekinetic hair and human fog machine. That being said, for some reason I find myself wanting to place these odd (and admittedly not realistic) characters in a somewhat realistic setting. But we’ll see about the grapple gun. I’m sure I’ll somewhat exaggerate its actual capacities.
But can you imagine how strong Batman’s hands would have to be to hold the grapple handle and swing through the air, sometimes holding another person in the process? We can add “Bat Grip” to his list of non-powered powers.
@AdamGoodtime, I hope you had a restful vacation. Please don’t drown my family in the Contrarian’s blood. I get somewhat squeamish around blood and plus I am a poor swimmer. Regarding who you stare at in Nil’s class, yes for now it’s a fake_choice. However, I can easily see going backfilling a real choice into that segment once I figure out some future events. It would certainly be a good spot to add a little clue.
@Wizkid, to be honest I’m still working out the details. I’ll try to avoid being too spoilery about those sort of things too. I’m glad you don’t like the Contrarian. She will fiiinally make a real appearance in either the end of Chapter 5 or the beginning of Chapter 6 so she’ll finally get some dialogue.
General comment. I am sitting here coughing my head off and waiting for my wife’s plane to get in. It’s already delayed two hours. I am thinking about the story but admittedly not getting much writing done tonight. Somehow I got sucked into watching the movie 2012 so there’s that too.

@WubWub117, the movie wasn’t as bad as Rotten Tomatoes indicated. I stayed up to watch the whole thing. The micro stuff didn’t interest me (Cusack and his family) but the macro stuff (like the arks) kept my attention.
@Jlafavor21, That is an awesome pic! I swear when I thought up Combat Wombat, I said to myself, “Here is a somewhat original name,” but I guess this confirms, once again, that there are no original ideas.
@StarWarsMaster, after spending over 200 hours on this story, typing away at night with my back to her, I think my wife would strangle me if I stopped. I am working on Chapter 5 right now.

@StarWarsMaster, I’m just behind schedule due to family sicknesses and a Game of Thrones marathon this weekend (we buy HBO for the last month of episodes).
Give me another two weeks before you start fretting, ok? 
For a Tactitian or Detective, when Mob asks why you came to hero school, could there be an option to say, “I wanted a true test of my mental capabilities”
@God_of_Demonz, I’ll add that to my list of edits. The choice doesn’t really have any impact, but I suppose it could be a small character builder.
@everyone, I wrote/coded 2k words last night while my wife read the first four chapters with fresh eyes so I’ve regained momentum. She said it took her 70 minutes, and she’s a faster than average reader so hopefully the second half will be roughly the same length and give the average reader a 2.5 hour reading experience.
I have fixed some typos so if you find more, let me know.

is their going to be a fame/justice choice for your character? i love playing the
anti-hero whose in it for poops and giggles.
also is there going to be a kill/spare moment? i know that this is a(mostly)light-hearted story(so far at least)and that you play as a teenager,but it would be an interesting choice for the player to think about.
note i’m NOT talking about going on a killing spree,more like a situation of 1.kill___ to save a life and compromise your values(if you have them) or don’t kill ___ and stand helpless as ___ kills a civilian/team mate/friend.
or 2.after___has done something horrible (killed a friend/lover,slaughtered innocents, kicked a puppy,canceled your favourite show,etc.)you have a moment of rage which you can either suppress or temporarily indulge the sensation.
the kill/spare thing is just a idea,and i will 100% understand if you don’t include it anywhere,but the justice/fame thing is really important to me(though i’m sure i’ll love the game regardless)
I don’t know why I didn’t check this out sooner, I like it allot. But the MC is not comparable to batman but Arthur the Tick’s sidekick LOL
I wouldn’t say that, more like Kick-Ass level, although now I’m picturing the Stunner losing several IQ points and the MC ends up having to be his babysitter.

@AdamGoodtime, yes I’m intentionally striking a somewhat light tone. Too many comic-type stories take themselves far too seriously. That being said, you might get some of your requested content in the second half of the story. Dan dah dahhhh!
@jcury and @stsword, perhaps somewhere about Arthur and start-of-movie Kick Ass with a goal of being near end-of-second-movie Kick Ass or even Hit Girl?
