Community College Hero: Knowledge is Power (old WIP thread, now closed)

I generally place loyalty for my friends above all else, so that’d make this a real damn tough choice for me. Tho I’m generally leaning towards helping crook cus man is he in a bad place right now. I know from personal experience that grief can cause people to do really stupid things and I’d have faith that the whole class, albeit not really prepared for any large scale confrontation, would be able to defend themselves better than a grief stricken man who’s focused solely on revenge.

So in all honesty, what do u guys think is going to happen during the night of lawlessness???

The more you folks hype the Night of Lawlessness, the more I’m afraid the actual product will be disappointing.

This is just meant to be a somewhat small scene, just enough to keep the Wyvern plot going as the “bigger” plot lines start to develop more.

But I hope folks still like it.

Honestly,I’ll manage with the small size.As long as it’s a fun read,I’m down.

So, he… jaywalks a lot? Encourages underage drinking? Mispronounces Arkansas?

I didn’t want to say anything, but that was just what I was expecting.

It’ll be fine, I’m confident it’ll be a good scene. It’s not like you’re trying to top the Darkest Night or Infinite Crisis storylines of DC. From past experiences of your writing, I’m sure the story will be great.

  • I want him as a friendly rival
  • I want him as a bitter rival :smiling_imp:
  • I’d prefer he stayed out of the main storyline :unamused:
  • His fun to have around, but needs more development in terms of power and as a person
  • His fine just the way he is to be honest :relieved:
  • Hated everything about him :rage:
  • I just don’t care about him at all :expressionless:

Character Discussion Poll #1
The Knight In Discount Armor Stunner
What did u think of him?

I agree with @AAO as long as its a good read the that specific scen could be short and dull because well lets face it your righting is awesome. The demo was great and all the feed back had made me come up with atleast 6 theories about what might happen

there should be a scene where you pick up stotic like a bat to swing at ur enemies.

Yes. Pick up the tiny chick who can’t be hurt and beat someone with her. That would be hilariously satisfying

Stunner as a friendly rival?

Oh,I’m afraid that fragile ego of his simply cannot allow that.

I’m curious who has the most fragile ego, Stunner, the Hedonist or the Contrarian?

@flipspice Improvised baseball, if you had super strength you’d probably hit a home run everytime. Possibly killing your enemies probably wouldn’t be considered very heroic, but it would make that high retribution stat look dapper.

@The_1ast_on3 Hedonist. Definitely the Hedonist out of those three. I’m not really sure how to put it, but Stunner doesn’t act like he has something to prove anymore and seems to be somewhat humbled now. I don’t know enough about the Contrarian to feel like I can make a sound judgement, however, if we could insult her poetry… :innocent:

Outside of those three: Dick Rycliff or Tress.

Much like your Contrarian point, I don’t really know much about Rycliff to make a decision about him tho he probably does seem like a more egotistical fella than tress so imma go for him.

Also just on the point of the Hedonist, we know from captain california that Saviour choose personas for their hero’s so I’m wondering if the Hedonist is naturally a sexual predator of scumminess or if he’d just sticking to his persona, cus their are some moments when he acts not like his usual self (e.g. after McCormick’s outburst on the farm and after Origami’s death)

He has grown since then. Like a cat that use to hate everyone but now only hates a few people now

At the very least Rycliff is a sleazebag if not egotistical. I just hope we get a chance to ruin his reputation before the end.

It’s possible Hedonist’s persona at Speck might have been specifically chosen while he has a different persona at Saviour as well. It doesn’t really seem like he’s naturally that way; Origami’s death would have been too good of an opportunity to miss yet he doesn’t try to take advantage of it (thankfully). I want the chance to get to know him and I hope there’s more to his character than unprofessionally amorous professor.

Same here, I really detested the guy at first but after seeing those scene where he was ‘out of character’ it really got me interested in him and in seeing how his character will develop
