That’s a very good point. It’s naive to think someone needs powers to be a threat. Although he seems very smart what does he have to gain from starting a riot??? Is he just going to watch from above until he discovers criminals worth recruiting or what? Seems almost pointless unles your only goal was to get fame.

You all got it wrong. Wyvern is everybody of the main cast from the future (and even more).
How should that be possible you ask?
Well easy: We know that Savior by now has the life stories of every Speck student in their database, right? Also the memories of the Speck seven.
So what when somebody tries to build a AI and feeds it the Savior database, leading the memories to mix and building up an own personality? This is Wyvern’s birth so to say.
But -oh no- 
the reason that they did build Wyvern is that things did go horrible wrong in the hero world with at least Specks destroyed and most/all of it’s students dead. 
But Wyvern can’t accept that, after all he does have the memories of all those people - in some way he is all that people - and so he travels back in time to get all of Speck’s students away from that death trap they call a campus. Wyvern actually is the good guy!
It all makes sense!
