When I first read the scene where Origami takes you to the hospital because of the Contrarian, I was CERTAIN there was going to be a big reveal that she was actually the villain all along.
I would love to see be part of the plot because it would open up, many new doors for us to open an to question. Also if origami was clone someone who would be a higher up in the story would have created her to, destroy speck or to gain secrets let alone or other things. Plus think about evil version of origami using the MC to do there bidding. The possibility are endless.
I admit that the clone one got me hooked because of all the possibilities I can think of. Was she a back-up? Is she part of a program that does various test on Zenith Powers and that she has other sisters or even brothers who have the same powers as her or something else? Who is the original and where does her loyalties lies?
Friday-Sunday I get to hang out with the authors of So You’re Possessed!, including @MizArtist33, and I am really looking forward to that. Anyone in the Louisville, Ky area should come out to Imaginarium, which is apparently a pretty cool writers’ conference. I think @Lordirish may be gracing us with his presence on Sunday?
And @defenestratin is working hard on the interior issue art (#5 is pretty much done (and awesome), and I’m loving how #6 is looking thus far).
I won’t get much writing done this weekend BUT I do hope to jot down a few hundred cool little ideas as I’m inspired by the presentations, workshops, etc. For instance, I just realized that some people in the Speckverse might refer to Booksmart by a certain set of initials that are not all that flattering…and then there’s the whole “Origami as a robotic clone quadruple agent from an alternate dimension” angle to work in! So little time!
For starters, the fact that nearly most of the choices in the first game didn’t do jack shit.
Ik the whole thing about roleplay choices and the likes of that, but too much without any real value gets annoying real quick. It also displeased me how we were basically forced to visit Jacob in the hospital. Some of you might say that it was for story purposes and such, but we could’ve just been forced to go to the hospital at the end of the game.
Luckily,we are already seeing an improvement with the Motivation bars, which will hopefully give the choices at least some meaning.
My second objection is that Yay was barely used in the first game, but that’s also most likely going to change in the first book.
My last complaint is that we don’t have an option to kick the Hedonist in the dick. And again that might change as well.(Ik that this option would make me and @ParrotWatcher two very happy people)
