I actually love the MC’s power that Eric gave us. I think it requires thought on how to use it correctly (and when) and I feel it can be the most powerful if used well.
The most boring and useless is Tress power (I’ve never been able to take it seriously). Stoic shield aura is not boring or useless but is really overestimate. Sinergy power are boring but pratical. The other Speck7 (and Stunner) have powers that are both enough awesome and pratical. But the winner is C-Wom (metalkinesis): if only he realized that he could use his power other than building an armor he would be basically a nerfed Magneto
Stoic isn’t over estimated, it was made to be OP, and it took someone like monstrosity x to break it, how do you think it’s over estimated? Tress’ powers are powerful if you know what you’re doing, synergy’s power is plain superstrength depending on how many people surrounds him. Stunner’s isn’t necessarily a practical powers, it’s pretty difficult to manage indoors on small spaces. Daniel’s abilities are cool but is niche. Crook’s abilities are the coolest and most practical, but he isn’t using it on a tactical or even in the most efficient way possible. Dg’s ability is not cool but is very practical on close combat scenarios. Stoic’s is boring but is very practical. Are you reading the same Material as we do?
If something I’d say we’re overestimating stunner, or mega cat,
And for @Kasami_Gi I think the most interesting is crook’s, he’s very shady but his abilities have the most room for plays and is flashy too, for the boring part I’d say it’s gotta be stunner’s or synergy’s, it’s too mainstream, it’s too overrated and whatnot a non fanatic of superman could say.
Yes and you would be surprised if you knew how many superpowers are usefull/awesome just beacuse “suspension of disbelif”
Note: that’s actually a flaw of the entire superhero genre, superpowers are not so epic once you put in the “reality ensues”
Is it more realistic to be able to control metal than have a barrier? Idk? Maybe ask yourself why are you reading fiction.
How about we tone it down a little Mr. Sama? Let’s not get carried away by this discussion as I’m sure Mr. Rinegato means well.
@Kasami_Gi
The best superpower? I think that power nullification and power mimicry are the best if we limit ourselves to the books. Both negate your enemies advantages against you and bring them down to our level, making all confrontations occur on the same relative bracket of power.
If we leave the confines of the books, i would say time manipulation is one of the strongest. It would certainly stop someone like Shizukani in their tracks. Blue Morpho is supposed to be a grade 10+ and can “travel” in time.
As for the worst, probably the Pink Cavalier. I guess you can use glitter bombs as a distraction, but not much beyond that. She’s dead weight.
Also, Mr. @Eric_Moser, can Friendzone “feels good” aura neutralize Monstrosity X “fear aura”?
Off topic but yes xD
EVERY power can be good if used correctly :)) i see your point and every power has a flaw but Nullification is quite easy to exploit though
Tress power allow her to extend her hair and control it at will and i don’t seem to remember anything about it being limited, see my point? It haven’t been displayed yet but she’s amazing in hand to hand combat using her hair to tie up, pull, lift and even strangle her opponent. And yes, Zeniths with enhanced strength could probably overpower her hair and it could easily get cut but like i stated, there isn’t any confirmation about it being limited so it’s incredibly annoying and useful, plus she could lift object to block or throw them so range wouldn’t be a wise choice against her either. In short, she’s good in both close and range combat! So it’s both interesting and useful i may say UwU
And yes! C-Worm’s power is cool but we both know what can/could have happened to him >:D
TELEPORTATION! BOO YA! But Crook isn’t, won’t, never a strategist, he’s a hothead and impatient, two strats to have if you want to die.
Super strength, there have to be boring superpowers to have cool superpowers, understand my point? Why would something considered cools if there isn’t anything like it to be compared with? It may be not as cool, but it’s the most relatable and the most easy to use. Also, enhanced strength isn’t Stunner’s only power :))
Well, it does considered a bomb so may be have it explote close range in weak spots like the eyes would cause a considerable damage? It would be hard of course but we have a Tactician (wink wink) and M-X who has lots of eyes, he may see many spot at the same time but won’t be able to focus on them all.
Now, my favorite would be Friendzone. 'Cuz to me, any mind/emotions manipulation is very powerful. It’s work on both Zenith and Non-Zenith. Your opponents can may be crush you with a finger but in a mentality fight, you’re both on equal terms and if you win, there is so much potential! You can help your team both directly and indirectly! And we all see how emotions affects a person, thanks to M-X. But despite Friendzone’s power counter M-X, it probably won’t make a different, cuz well, he’s a Grade-9 while she’s still learning. But still, happiness UwO.
The “boring”, from my view, i don’t consider any power “boring” as i stated a bunch up there but, i would say my least favorite would be Dr.Hover’s levitation power, i have no hate against him, he seem nice despite so little interactions but man, levitation? Couldn’t have been flight? I’m sorry, but he’s a elevator, I’m not saying he’s useless, infact, he saved the MC in the fight with Manipulator. But his power is just that, up and down ;-;
Doctor Hoover’s story is actually very bittersweet. His power being hoovering is central to his backstory, so it can’t be changed.
Yes, i already took a brief look at it. But life is really unfair even in the imaginary world of books xD
He’s abilities are shockwaves, means he can generate strong waves from clapping. Ngl it could be cool but it could also be a bit too linear, I mean it’s flashy but isn’t that practical on close range, he’s a good asset on open area tho, his raw power is probably
Well, he don’t need to use it close range then, that’s why he has super strength!
Iirc He doesn’t have super strength, his just athletic,
I mean it’s flashy but isn’t that practical on close range
I’m pretty sure Downfall used his power at touch range during the final exam in part one. When she cracked Stunner’s armor I believe?
I missed that point, but idk if that makes a valid point since downfall can optimize every single ability she steals
Stunner destroyed Synergy in capture the flag without his power if i remember correctly and instead of using it on Stoic, he just start punching her shield, it obviously didn’t do anything but he just keep trying, that’s a reaction from a enhanced strength individual. Yes, Synergy said it himself that he usually wasn’t that weak but still, Stunner displays show that he’s very strong, maybe not as much as super strength, but strong nonetheless.
Also, i don’t understand why it wouldn’t work as good in close range, it’s a shockwave, wouldn’t closer mean more effective?
He actually did use his power on Synergy, And he tried it with Stoic too. It just didn’t work. So he tried out strength instead. But Stunner has not been stated as having super strength as such. He just does a lot of time at the gym.
I see no reason why he wouldn’t do just fine close range too. He got into Prestige on power grade alone after all. You and your friends, at least initially, were accepted for ulterior motives. Stoic should have been there from the beginning, but yeah, she’s a special case.
Thank you for clarifying! Me smoll brain °w°
It wouldn’t be practical at indoor setting, given that we’re doing hero jobs, we want to minimize collateral damage, his raw firepower is good but he definitely doesn’t have a super strength, imo he’s just buffed, and synergy only have 2 people nearby him that time, and that’s probably why he got swooped.
On the practical exams I didn’t notice it I thought downfall just slapped the armor and shockwaves went bop.
And to make it clear I think we should read back to cch 1’s introductions, I didn’t notice if stunner said he had a strengthening abilities.
He didn’t, swear to god. I’ve read those intros so many freaking times I’d be shooketh if I were wrong, lol. And really, it depends on the indoor setting. It also depends on if he can warn his friends or not. His ability does rely a bit on the element of surprise. If you slap your hands over your ears like Stunner’s team did in capture the flag, it doesn’t affect you as much.
He one-shotted Mob/Synergy because Synergy is also a gigantic baby about possibly hurting anyone, not just because of the strength thing. He’s not willing to do what it takes and he made that abundantly clear.
