i understand crook’s theory but tress? how so
makes sense
Alright, the thing about potential suspects who killed your father really bugging me so I’ll just let it all out.
After Origami’s death and you being at Manipulator’s mercy, didn’t she already admitted being the one who killed your father? And to get your father’s armor, you have to get in touch with his cell mate, wouldn’t you meet Crook? Or is it you get the armor but never meet the cell mate? (I did not play through the path so please correct me). But either way, i haven’t played in a while but remember the scene when Manipulator pointing out that she know your father but don’t exactly remember what she said. Wasn’t she saying she did it?
Also, for everyone discussing this game, SOME ONE will yell out “I called it” after the third one released, so can we all agree on not saying it? Then, who ever will say it will be the one never paying attention and not actually say anything. CAN WE ALL AGREE!?
@rinzygreye Tress is an extremely envious person. For some reason, she hates everything you do and tries to undermine you at every turn. She hates losing leadership vote to a non Zenith, she hates when you take down the Manipulator, she second guesses you when saving Dr. Hover making her own orders, she makes her own talking points in the group meeting and accuses you of releasing her naked photos. Romance doesn’t dissuade her at all.
Outside of Crook, she is a possibility. I mean, she’s jealous, but is she more ruthless and moral than Captain Sketchy? Does she hate you that much?
If I remember correctly, the Manipulator only knew about your father being a villain and about your secret identity, not anything about killing your father. I’ll replay CCH1 to verify it.
But also YES I SWEAR I DONT WANT TO SEE PEOPLE SAY “I CALLED IT!”
My memory is bad but i have to disagree with “She hate everything you do and undermine you at every turn” and despite my lack of social, i still think there isn’t enough information and conversation to judge her character.
She hate losing the vote with a Non-Zenith, it IS understandable! We’re talking about not yet grown up bunch here. But still, she seem to have the Natural Leader strat. She is confident that she will do better than the only non-powered kid, isn’t that seem fair?
I don’t remember she being mad at me final blow-ing the Manipulator nor remember saving Dr.Hover, it’s probably my small brain. If she did, she’s just being jealous, again, the Non-Zenith thing.
“Making her own talking points”, i don’t know about this 'cuz I’m not interested in being a leader. But in the situation where I’m the leader and she does that, again (again) she have the Natural Leader strat, she’s smart, charismatic and confident in leading but she’s still young, she doesn’t realize that she doing it the wrong way, she expects everyone to listen but you know how much the team get along, plus, she’s suck under pressure, can’t really blame her.
She didn’t ACCUSED you of leaking those photos, it’s the first day in school and she only ASKED if you we’re giving them away and does so only when you’re the one she showed them to, so who else she’s would thought of? You’re being a bit harsh on this one.
And no, she doesn’t hate me that much. There’s even one point where everything is going to sh#t and she cries to me of how bad she is messing up.
Do tell if I’m being overly dramatic or stupid at any of these. Again, there isn’t enough to judge her, I’m only saying what i saw and how i felt about it. Reading people is not hard when you have all the time in the world and they’re the only one talking.
To a certain degree, yes.
She is 19 years old, an adult, and yet act likes a child. Origami is 13 and is more intellectually and emotionally stable. She is a mirror of DG: brash, rude, arrogant, reckless. This is not a leader. This is a man child.
Not the Manipulator but the Wyvern. The text say that she “glares at you” and is angry in general. Now I don’t know about you, but I would be happy if she captured a dangerous villain, not jealous.
In the Dr. Hover scene, if you choose Crook or Wombat, she completely overrules you and makes her own plan with Mob. My MC had to call the fucking Hedonist because she can’t put her ego aside 5 minutes.
True. But just the fact that she seems to suggest that you would do that is ridiculous. Understandable, but ridiculous. I think she projects her own insecurities and failures in you. Not my fault you didn’t put a password in your nudes. Tough luck.
Of course not. What I love about the forum is you can discuss and brainstorm ideas with others in a rational manner. This site is a shining light of civility in a sea of darkness. Granted, it’s thanks to the moderators like @Eiwynn @Mary_Duffy and others who rule with an iron fist, but with good reason. Our benevolent overlords.
Wow, your skill with people is so much better than me! As you can see, I’m “talking” here, just “talking”, half of what i said don’t even sound convincing, not with so many people comments about it, i don’t like socialize but sometimes, i wish i do.
Anyway, I do agree with some of what you said about Tress but i know better than judging someone so quickly, learned it the hard way many time. Beside, i can’t think of anything she would gain from betraying her friends, or atleast it isn’t obvious, that kind of personality she having normally would be to proud to stood “that low” for power.
@Kasami_Gi Hah! Me being skilled with people. Introverts of the world, unite! Wait, never mind.
I’m still adamant that Crook is the traitor. But Tress is also possible. I think Mr. Moser put her jealousy as a red herring to distract from the real traitor.
a possibility but i doubt it’ll warrant tress to snitch on the mc, it may just be petty jealousy.
I’ve go a question for the whole series, I understand that the title says “hero” but can you be bad, ruthless, manipulative ect? I’ve played most games with rated over 4 stars but this puts me off.
@UnoriginalUserName You can’t be bad bad, but you can do some questionable things here and there, yes. The story at it’s core is about heroes, so there’s a limit to how much you can stray from that.
I very much recommend it, it’s a fantastic book.
I just thought of something. In CCH2 and the demo for CCH3 its stated that if you go down the tactician path that you recieve help from the Manipulator/get the nano tech from her, do you all think its possible that she could have rewired the tech on us to essentially manipulate us to turn on the Speck group/go rogue in a sense?
oh shoot sorry i missed your comment lad, but are we talking about early years eren you know when he just got awakened his titan powers, or are we talking about present day eren cause that’s two different mentalities?
@TechNote Maybe? It’s possible. But I think the Manipulator being the traitor is too obvious. Besides, a betrayal by a former member of the Dozen, who you barely had contact with, doesn’t have the sane emotional impact than a member of your team or someone you trust. If anything, the MC would be deeply suspicious of them already.
Or she could manipulate you for her own independent agenda.
exactly what you said, essentially making the Mc an agent for the Manipulator. I mean she gave us the tech for it, i believe there’s a possibility that she’s using us for her own agenda, possibly to secretly analyze everyone the MC comes in contact, would make the Manipulator a much more ambitious and sly villain.
Well, it just says “you trusted the wrong person”, so it doesn’t have to mean anything in particular. It would be kind of interesting to see something like that, because considering the three paths, the “traitor” would change depending on what you choose. The Manipulator can manipulate (pun intended, I’m sorry) the MC with the nanobot things, Booksmart has access to the MC’s mind, and someone can do something with the Dr. Stench armor. This seems kind of unlikely to me since all those characters have different goals and stuff, but it would be cool.
Anything that will happened, i kinda wish that whoever the traitor is, when its revealed, i’d be like: “What the hell!?” and not “i though so”. yet i hope it won’t turned out to be either stoic or MC’s mom, although those may be the twist that will hurt very much. . .
and if the traitor turned out to be one of the MC group, will there be a way to persuade them to go back to our side? i wonder. . .
oh yeah, by the way, if you still wondering why lady ash killed C-Wom and not our MC if one of them declaring themselves as the leader… its because C-Wom literally encased in Metal Coffin, and when lady ash “ignite” the metal? well… Molten Iron cannot be affected by magnetism, thus unlike MC, C-Wom can’t toss his equipment as easly, and yeah… he’s Melted inside his shell.
The “captain powerless” was funny to me tho, I mean it was pretty accurate
I saw you guys talking about what you would do if you have the power, I would be a vigilante, simply bc I don’t trust people with influence it just doesn’t work for me, so I’d be someone putting people to justice without the help of police or without registering as a hero.
The idea of being betrayed, is appealing, but whether it be a close friend or an ally or a shady guy is relative, I hope it isn’t crook since he’s kit is useful, I hope it’s not stoic too, she’s my RO, dg being a traitor is a long shot, seing that DG is most of the time high, and most of the time acting silly and dumb, doesn’t add up, the traitor being tolly, or tress, or the mom, or neil(BM from you guys) is rather acceptable,
The traitor being your mentor(tolly) is a cliche so it’s reasonable, it being tress, might show how competitive she could get, and how immature she is, it being the mom might show us other side of the story, and neil, well, he’s shady af.
I wish we could get real weapons tho. Like a gun or a blade it’s illegal I know, but when you fight someone who can slice you in half you need real weapons, on how they might be useful, we’ll cross it when we get there.
Stoic is a good character, she doesn’t care much about everything, she seems kuudere to me, but she’s loyal, the only unbearable to me is tress
